We wanted to add some extra days to our vacation at the OBX and heard Manteo was a nice area to visit, found this pet friendly loft and we were not disappointed. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants in town, very clean and quiet loft, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to be back in the future.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. It is a great home base to explore the surrounding communities and has all the necessities. We have 2 boys (12 and 14) and it was a little tight, but doable. I love the patio/porch for coffee and reading. We walked to dinner most nights. Great value.

This property was just as advertised. We were so comfortable in the Island Loft. It was well-provisioned, quiet, a good value, and the location couldn't have been better. Easy access to so many things that one goes to OBX to do! The property manager was outstanding. Make that OUTSTANDING! She took care of every niggle and was an excellent communicator, responding thoughtfully and promptly to questions large and small. Our family of four adults was universally pleased!

Three friends spent a week in this charming loft. There was ample space to spend time together and also have privacy, when necessary. We were close to many restaurants and amenities, like the distillery! The only downside would be for anyone 6' or over - they won't fit in the bathroom!

Great for quiet nights and relaxing. The patio was hemmed in by beautiful flowers (maybe honey suckles?) and trees so you’re truly hidden from view and able to unplug. Manteo is incredibly quiet, so it’s perfect if you’re looking for a quiet getaway.

Excellent location and I loved being close to shops and restaurants. Lots of things to do. Quick drive to beaches. The cottage was quaint and perfect size as there were just 2 of us (adult son and myself). Only downside was the broken Washing Machine but our stay was short and that was not a big deal.

Sweetly surprised by the spaciousness of the loft. Very comfortable, homey-feel located right in Manteo's historic downtown. Walking distance to the waterfront, restaurants, shops, and the nostalgic Pioneer Theatre. Our family would definitely stay here again.

I rented the loft while my son and I were going to be fishing out of Oregon inlet with a local charter boat. The house is extremely clean and functional and great temperature control and water pressure (which has always been a problem when I have rented in the area). Our charter was cancelled due to weather and we were scrambling to find another for the next day. We were unsuccessful but when I mentioned it to Sharon, she made calls to her contacts to try to help us out - can’t say I’ve ever had a property manager go that extra mile. We were both unsuccessful but we made the best of the trip and had a great time. Thanks again Sharon!!!

The loft is exactly as portrayed by VRBO. It is located in a quiet neighborhood near the Roanoke Island waterfront attractions. It is a ten minute drive to the outer banks. Both bedrooms are large with comfortable beds. The living room and kitchen are a bit small, but we had the space we needed to enjoy our stay. We had three adults in our party and IMO that is the maximum number for the available space. I would recommend the property to other visitors.

We enjoyed our three night stay in this cute little cottage. Some quirky aspects to being in an old building (funny angles in the shower, etc.) but it all was very comfortable and the A/C worked great on a super hot and steamy week. Sharon is a great host, will go above and beyond for her guests - she really helped us with our boat and boat trailer storage. Quiet neighborhood'y street just a few blocks from the water. Parking is easy.

Island Loft was a little piece of heaven for us! We enjoyed the peaceful ambiance in and outside of the loft. Every want was provided for so that we could have a sorely needed weeklong getaway. I highly recommend this vacation destination!

The Island Loft was an amazing place for our first trip to the Outer Banks! Everything was lovely- the beds were comfortable, AC worked great during a heat wave, and we had plenty of room to spread out. Location is superb, downtown Manteo is a quick walk away with lots of options for food and shopping. Sharon is a great host and was very responsive to emails- we even had the chance to meet her. Highly recommended and we cannot wait to come back with our baby!
