'Gingerbread Cottage' is ideally located on a hill just one and a half miles above the village of Fish Creek. Within minutes you can be at the waterfront, Peninsula State Park, Drive-In theater, Peninsula Players theater in the garden, restaurants and shops. Inside the cottage you will find plenty of space for a large family or a get-together with friends. Two upstairs bedrooms share a bath and sleep six with two sets of bunk beds and two more twin beds. The first floor bedroom has a queen bed and adjacent bath. The greatroom has a wood burning fireplace and a dining area adjoining a fully equipped kitchen. Peaceful and quiet cabin located in a great location, easily accessible to all Door County has to offer. Easy check-in and check-out. Owner alerted us to issues with wi-fi upon check-in; says it was going in and out. We found it was mostly out, which was a bit frustrating. Another minor complaint was there were a few odd odors (perhaps just from age of cabin? but also an unpleasant sewage smell in bathroom), but nothing that ruined our stay. Appreciated the stocked kitchen and helpful notes throughout the home. Cozy living space and adorable upstairs bedrooms; my younger son wanted to move in!

Nice place, quiet,…wood stover in living room “IFFY” and no wood inside,,,comfy place,…no towels provided kinda odd…electricity went out 7 AM on depart date…..called cell of owner..twice , no response… called ele co and reported outage… finally back on , but only enough time to clean and leave…unable to have bkfst in morn or relax..not owners fault, but a return phone call would have been nice

This cute cabin was in an awesome location, with the amenities we needed. Loved the surrounding woods & fire pit. It was a great home base to use for travel across the peninsula. Would book again!

The cabin was excellent, great accommodations and fantastic location. Had internet miscommunication but that’s not what we were here for. Great time shopping, hiking and exploring. We are definitely coming back to this cabin. Thanks Daryl.

We really liked this little cottage, we had a great stay. The owners were quick to respond when needed. The cottage has a nice king bed and was well stocked in the kitchen with spices and dishes/cooking utensils. We didn’t use the upstairs bedrooms but they looked nice and all had TVs. Thanks!

Comfortable and very casual. Away from the crowds of tourists, but just a short drive to points of interest, shopping, restaurants. Good location to travel up or down the peninsula and across. We enjoyed daily breakfast at the cottage and a light dinner in the evening, by grilling burgers etc.

We needed a place to bring our dogs and family that was close to all of our favorite hang outs. This did the job. Had everything we needed. Would stay again! Love the privacy.

We did not have internet as promised. Had poor and/or no communication responses from owner with issues with internet and check out process. Was charged inappropriately and was expected to stay home to help with his internet issues with frontier

This was a great cabin for my first visit to Door County. It's perfectly located between Egg Harbor and Fish Creek and there's a ton of wineries and shops in a short driving distance. We didn't use the upstairs bedrooms, but they looked nice. The living room/dining room area was pleasant. I think it would be a bit small for a larger group, though. The bed in the master room was extremely comfortable and aside from some clunking at night from, I think, the water heater, it was nice, quiet, and dark. The kitchen was well stocked with dishware and spices, though the cookware was pretty old... the pans are all Teflon/nonstick and we're really scratched up. I didn't love using those, but it wasn't a huge deal. The kitchen ware all needed to be washed, though. Plates had some residue and we had to scrub one of the spatulas clean before we could use it. I'm guessing this was purely from previous guests, so I'm not really holding it against the hosts (and there is a sign reminding you to wash utensils!). The cabin is located in a little loop off hwy 42. That loop is a nice little walk, but 42 isn't fun to walk or bike next to, so if you're hoping to bike from the cabin to fish creek, it's not ideal for that. If it weren't for this, we'd definitely rent this cabin again! Next time we visit, we'll be looking for a spot we can bike from! The hosts were easy to get ahold of and made check in/check out simple! Thank you for a great stay!

We loved the cottage in Fish Creek! We stayed for a week and the location was perfect for our daily adventures. The cottage has a great fire pit and back deck area to relax in privacy. There is a king bed in the master bedroom which was pretty comfortable. The inside is very clean and there is a lot of space. We booked the cottage for next year for a week already also! We can’t wait for our 2024 trip!

This is the 2nd year staying at this cottage and we loved it! All the amenities provided and comforts of home.Beautiful wooded location and peaceful. We love the back deck and patio with wood provided for our campfires. The hosts were communicative and accommodating. We can’t wait to stay again next year.

We stayed here for our family vacation. It was my husband, my 23-year-old son, his best friend and myself. It was great that my husband and I had to downstairs area and the kids were upstairs. It was perfect. The kitchen is fully stocked. We love the outdoor fire ring. It was really a beautiful location and a great value for the price

we enjoyed our stay very much; we felt far away from it all with the house being surrounded by trees and nature, yet very close to the main highway to get to the towns to enjoy various parts of the peninsula. we used all 3 bedrooms, the fire pit and the kitchen, which was stocked with the necessities, during our stay. the communication with the owner was excellent.

Great location in a peaceful setting. The Gingerbread Cottage is comfortable and convenient location. The neighborhood road was quiet and easily able to walk my dogs. We saw a fawn walk through the backyard and it was enjoyable watching it. I highly recommended staying here. I hope to come again next year.

great location with easy access to penn players theater, egg harbor and fish creek. cabin was very clean and provided plenty of space although the upper level was difficult to keep cool even with a/c on. overall a great stay and we would definitely look to book again if in the area!

Everything is exactly as stated. Wood paneling makes it feel a little dark and dated but the house was perfect for our needs. Lovely patio in secluded woods. Conveniently located right off main highway. King bed in master is comfortable. Twin beds in upstairs bedroom were tolerable. Mattresses on bunk beds appeared thin and uncomfortable but no one slept there to report on this. Must bring your own towels snd this was not stated anywhere in check in email. Wi fi password had no spaces, even though it was listed as spaces. Plenty of pans in cupboards Even some spices. Big refrigerator. Kitchen is small. We never even tried to turn on the TV As an FYI I had no bars on cell phone to make a call. Had to go into town (I have Xfinity mobile) to call host once. Number listed is a land line so i couldn't text him. Overall, my mom and I were very pleased

We enjoyed the cabin very much. Master bedroom downstairs, full kitchen with supplies , nice family room and dining table , room surrounded by windows, looking at back porch, fire pit, and woods, new gas grill. Wifi and tv all worked great. Location was perfect, just a mile or so out of Fish Creek. 2 bedrooms and bath upstairs that we did not use.

This place is right in the heart of Door County yet secluded enough off the main rood to make it a peaceful stay. Very clean and comfortable with a great backyard and fire pit. Check in was easy and the place had everything we needed!

Older cabin but perfect for us, we like character. All the amenities, good bed, nice and cool, even without a/c and only 2 minute drive to fish creek. Very convenient. We’ll be coming back. A real deal.

Cottage in the woods, peaceful away from the hussle and bussle of downtown fish creek. Cottage was exactly the way described for property. Cottage fully stocked making packing for this trip effortless. Loved the up north feel. Will definitely stay here again for our next door county trip

Nice secluded cabin in the woods. Cant see neighbors through the woods. Spacious cabin. Only downfall was trying to figure out which light switches actually turned on/off lights as many didnt do anything and a few outlets didnt work. Overall nice cabin.

We had a wonderful weekend - secluded and private but only two minutes from Fish Creek and everything it has to offer. The cottage was cosy, warm, clean, comfortable and welcoming. Our host even generously provided fire wood!

Took my wife here for a weekend getaway. Was an excellent weekend. Cabin is very clean and cozy. Would highly recommend. Only issues were lack of bathroom towels and was told the cabin would be open for check in but had to find key on our own.
