Terrific property

A delightful stay.

We absolutely loved the accommodation. Clean and neat. Close to everything. Tram right outside. Bed was a delight after 30 hours of travel. Hosts were very attentive. Highly recommend.

Stayed on third floor. Great location. Close to central city shops, bar and restaurants.

Great location for looking around the city.

Good location nice big apartments.

We were very disappointed in the checking in, arrived after midnight to find lockbox was very hard to open and then when opened there were no keys to property for both units as we had previously organised before arrival.

It was a good fit for what I needed it for... to sleep!

querky room that felt like a good home for a few nights...had everything it needed to have

Loud thumping music till very late 3:00am somewhere in the building on the friday. Would have been nice if there were 1 or 2 coffee pods I could have used the first morning to use the coffee machine. Bathroom sink was nearly blocked and the curtains need to be refitted

A little fraught

It was clean, comfortably furnished and roomy, generealy comfortable.

Collecting of the keys from a local shop. The general maintenance, three of the four lamps in the bedroom were not working and the light outside the door which is very dark. One of the kitchen cupboards had a broken hinge. WE booked a parking place and were given a bay number to find someone else was parking there so had to contact the owner who was very good and found us another place. We had just driven for 7 hours and could have done without the hassle.

The location is good with walking distance to main bus station, supermarkets and main attractions. Room is quite comfortable.

The Wifi is poor. There was hair in showroom. No proper kitchen only a microwave and a toaster.

Fantastic central location for exploring Christchurch. Quiet, comfy, clean. Good for small family.

The location can't be beat (our windows looked down into the tram station). Bedding was very comfortable. The living room was spacious. We had two bathrooms and the bedroom slept four (one double bed, one bunkbed). Communication with the hosts was good. There were lots of nice extra touches such as good quality soaps, tourist brochures and a very detailed binder with info on local travel, restaurants, earthquake and safety tips, etc.

We had to collect the key card from the person working in the convenience store inside Cathedral Junction. It all worked out just fine, and the instructions were all very clear, but I was just a bit nervous about what would have happened if our train had been delayed or something like that and the store was closed. How easy would it have been to contact the hosts and make a last minute plan to get the key card? That I don't know. The bathroom fans were noisy, though thankfully they did shut off on their own after awhile.

Very nice room, great location.

Very disorganised procedures. The information supplied in the room is outdated by their own admission. They only told me where I can store my luggage AFTER I left and claimed it was my responsibility to organise it in advance of arriving - I was not told this and have never seen this policy in my many travels. They also blamed me for everything because I apparently didn't fill out a form they never sent me (why you would need an extra form on top of booking.com is beyond me). The check in procedure was by collecting a card at a local convenience store and the staff there when I arrived didn't know anything about it so I had to come back later. In addition to all this I had to ask them to send me my receipt because they don't do it automatically. They kept sending me messages with dead links instead.. The most disorganised place I've stayed in for a very long time.

it was very clean and had all the basics a rental apartment should. we were helped with all of our questions and felt the apartment suited our small family of three very well.

the bathroom being in the bedroom wasn’t ideal but definitely something we could live with.

Excellent stay!

Cathedral Junction Apartments is very centrally located and easy to get to. It offers group travellers the comfort and privacy of an entire house to themselves, and comes complete with sofa, TV, sofa bed, 2 bedrooms, a dining table, kitchen with stove and dishwasher, washer-dryer and private parking lot. It also has one toilet and two bathrooms so no need to fight with your fellow roommates! One thing to note for guests is to read the pre-arrival messages carefully, as they offer precise instructions on checking in and parking. While it is co-located with the Quest Cathedral Junction hotel, they have very different checking in procedures. Rooms are spacious and clean, though there was one where windows are shut, so it can get a little stuffy. The room owners are also easy to contact if you require help, and very responsive to requests.

One thing to note: the dryer doesn't do a good job of drying as the clothes still come out a little damp, but helpfully, a clothes rack is provided to dry them.

Apartment was clean and spacious. Check in details were clear and easy to follow. Excellent location, close to centre and ideal for 2 night stay. Would highly recommend. Hosts were attentive.
