Staff went out of their way to be helpful--they were great! We enjoyed some delightful experiences off the beaten path. We especially enjoyed the walk along a small canal (Khlong Ban Pa--access is two blocks south of Bed Garden 26). This walkway passes through colorful residential areas and green spaces in both directions; to the east, a lively open air market was found on Sunday at noon, and to the west, a mosque. Ramkhamhaeng station on the airport rail link is about 5-10 minutes by taxi and 30 minutes on foot; the station area has a lot of small restaurants and shops. Porto Bello restaurant (Italian) was another fun find--tasty food and live music, and just a 5 minute walk from Bed Garden 26.

Traffic was heavy on weekday mornings from 6-10 a.m., especially Mondays; we gave up waiting for a taxi and walked to Ramkhamhaeng station. But I expect the same is true throughout Bangkok. Location is inconvenient for access to main tourist attractions; however, it is relatively close to the airport.
