Unit is not clean, fridge was dead, they had a small bar fridge so obv they knew it wasn’t working. Horrible check-in as we had gone to Costco. VACASA property management really hard to get a hold of. Had to push to get a working fridge. Unit was not clean. Sand on the counters in the bathroom. Beach chairs were old. No cooler so we had to buy one. Absolutely no stock of cooking oils (usually there is some). Unit has a bad smell so you have to keep windows open all the time.

Had a great time in the apartment. Was nicer in person then in the pictures. Would have been nice to have some of the basics for cooking like, Olive Oil and salt and pepper. The lagoon/ tide pool next tot he property were also amazing.

Not as comfortable as other units we've stayed in at the same address. Map of parking stall helpful, in rain and dark. Double check entry code- both didn’t work. Utensils greasy, washed everything we used 1st. Patio slider needs service. Master B/R blinds not acceptable. No instructions for TV. Fridge doesn't work. Replacement mini fridge leaks. Extra kitchen towels helpful. Location great if you want peace & quiet, right on water. We'll return again, but not to this unit. Property Mgt needs to upgrade unit owner's responsibility to his guests.

Really enjoyed Emerald Key 203! Sat on the balcony and watched the dolfins while we drank our coffee and took photos of great sunrises and sunsets!! We met super nice people and enjoyed how quiet it was. We would rent this condo again and again!!! We did a lot of cooking and would suggest some new frying pans.

Sleeping with the sounds of the waves. Hilo is as beautiful as all the locals that are so welcoming.

This condo overlooks Carlsmith Beach so the ocean sound is a lovely background. Very nice screened lanai above the trees with glimpses of the cove It’s a few blocks out of downtown Hilo so we ended up driving particularly as it rained a lot Bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels. No AC and no washer/ dryer. The kitchen had adequate pans and dish ware. BUT BE WARNED - there is NOTHING in the way of staples for cooking. No salt or pepper, oil, vinegar, spices,foil, or storage containers. At least 14 coffee cups which I would have traded for something useful. The other major flaw is check in and entry. Directions for entry are confused and contradictory. You need a key for the elevator and only 1 per unit. The lockbox is jammed onto a bar in a dark cabinet with no way to operate it easily. The door code is ridiculous- 10 digits so you have to keep your phone or a slip of paper in your pocket at all times. Could also really use a screen door as the breeze comes from that direction.
