Dora, hasta luego!

Dora, the hostess, is going to take great care of you. She showers you with motherly love and makes you feel cared for. Lively yet peaceful, carnival and calm coexist in the hostel. Right next to the beach, has great options for food nearby. Felt safe for myself and my belongings throughout my stay. Arica feels much better when you stay here.

A cama de cima não dá pra usar, é um verdadeiro forno..rsss Creio que o ar condicionado sopra tudo lá pra cima....Aí não dá pra usar. Meu amigo dormiu no chão, embaixo.

Malo no es prestigio para booking tener este proveedor

La ubicación de ahí nada más por trabajo o vacaciones hay mejores lugares por ese precio

Friendly, family run hostel

The family running the hostel couldn't be friendlier and keep the communal areas very clean. Wifi was good, ensuite shower in dorm was hot. Great storage lockers under the beds that can fit one large and one small backpack. Roof terrace is a nice space to eat/work/relax, bar wasn't open but you can bring your own drinks. Very relaxed atmosphere. Happy to store luggage for the day. Be sure to check out the promenade and beaches on the other side of El Morro de Arica rather than the long beach in front of the hostel. I would consider staying here again.

You will need ear plugs - the nightclubs, even mid week, have ridiculously loud music until 2 or even 4 am. The private rooms have gaps between the walls and the ceiling so all noise travels around the Hostal - most of us were awake due to a guy snoring in another room.

Acogedor

Me gustó la amabilidad en recepción. Me prestaron adaptador para cargar mi celular. Había una mesa de ping-pong. En la habitación matrimonial había Netflix.

Había bulla de fiesta que venía de la calle, pero estaba cansado, así que no fue un impedimento para quedarme dormido.

Melhor hospedagem em Arica!

De tudo, o hostel é maravilhoso! Fica na praia de chinchorro, 50 metros da praia, a parte de cima do hostel tem vista para o Mar e ele é muito próximo do shopping de arica, andando da uns 15 minutos no máximo, camas extremamente confortáveis, fora a limpeza do hostel, café da manhã bom, Alfonso, Dora e sua filha são excelentes anfitriões, se um dia voltar a Arica, certamente essa será minha hospedagem! Me senti em casa, muito obrigada pela recepção...

Nada do que reclamar, tudo excelente.

Very good

Great location, very close to the beach. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our host was friendly and welcoming. Perfect stopover for a night or 2.

As many people have said, you need to be prepared for loud music coming from outside the hostel until 4am.

Location and staff

The hostel is located in a very vibrant and alive party of the city, so eventually the noise from outside will bother you. Much more a problem of the location than the hostel itself, however soundproof walls could help too.

Nice place to chill close to the beach

*friendly staff *good vibes *nice common area *close to the beach, nice view from the terrace

*no drinking water and closest supermarket is 20 mins by walking *really small room without window *some noise at night from the bars around *small kitchen, max 2 people can cook at the same time

Very good

The atmosphere is really relaxed. It is mostely run by volunteers which do a really good job. They have a weekly bbq. The owner took as to the airport at 5:30 am. Outside is plenty space to relax.

The walls are pretty thin so you hear everything and everyone. It is located near a few clubs with loud music, so don´t forget the earplugs for a good night sleep.

Young couple participating in the Carnival, enyoing great stay and conversation

This place is perfect for people that want to enjoy some active night life in Arica, as is it placed right beside clubs and restaurants. Also, it has a privileged location near Chinchorro beach. The staff is attentive and caring, they made our stay even greater and our first carnival experience an unforgettable one. Keep in mind a lot of the staff are young volunteers traveling through Chile and South America, so you get to know a lot of young people from all over the world. I specially recommend this place for young people or young couples that enjoy a fun conversation and learning from others. The private room is confortable, clean and everything you need is provided: bed sheets, towels, fan, etc.

A small thing but one of our windows was just beside a storage room, could benefit if covered for privacy.

This Place is very close to the beach. There's loads of nice people and the owners are always helpful und friendly. you can borrow surfboards, wetsuits and bicycles there free of charge. Would've loved to stay longer

Fantastic beach side hostel

The staff were fantastic. Made every effort to make my trip not just comfortable but fun.

The bar next door could be noisy at random hours of the night.

Nice hostal right next to beach

Amazing location just adjacent from the beach and a short walk from a well stocked mall, grocery store, hardware store etc. Nice kitchen and indoor/outdoor seating. Lounge area with big TV and sofas, and storage for bicycles/surf boards etc. Upstairs bar and terrace. Nice staff. We stayed in deluxe room and it had everything including mini fridge, kettle, bathroom, ample storage, TV and drinking water.

Not the fault of the hostal but the bars right next door played music until 5am several nights. We slept with earplugs so it was manageable so come prepared!

Loud, no travellers, no window

Lady was nice to welcome us.

The advertisement of the room stares ‘sea view’… well we didn’t even have a normal window. The window was on eye height next to the main corridor and there was only indirect light. The hostel isn’t what you see on the pics with travellers, it’s a house were a lot of men live (may be for work) and it seems a room is on booking.com for tourists. So no travellers vibe, it felt id we were intruding in a small society. The lady gave us ear protection ‘for the restaurant and discotheek nearby.’ As we weren’t there in high season, we didn’t hear any of that. However the men staying in the hostel were very loud, in the evening AND from 6 am in the morning. Advertisement and reviews totally don’t reflect our experience.
