Wonderful place to stay. We had a huge room with doors opening to a garden area. Comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast with lots of choice of bread, cheese and meats. The dinner option is a must….extremely good value…..3 courses served with their own wine and port at the end by the fire for us which was lovely. Ate with the other guests at one large table…..highly recommend. Staff friendly. It was pouring with rain when we arrived and we were ushered into the lounge to sit by the fire and given a glass of port to welcome us. It would be amazing to stay in summer as have a pool and great views. Roads are narrow to reach but well sign posted and yes follow their signs and don’t take the turn google maps suggest (like another review).

Rooms were incredibly comfortable. Miguel was amazing! Dinner was great with a lot of delicious wine. The pours at dinner were quite generous…. Gathering with a glass of pre-dinner wine starts at 7:30 pm and dinner starts at 8 pm. If you are questioning whether or not to stay, don’t think twice and book this amazing place. Do keep in mind that the drive to the property is uphill and tight streets. Follow the very clear signs for the best path and you will be fine.

Great food, Great views, Great accommodation!
Unfortunately was only able to book one night. Very popular spot. Actually we were lucky to get the one night on short notice!

The property is 10 mins by taxi from Pinhão which costs between 10 and 17 euro. Dinner is offered to guests and is good wholesome home cooked food. This is a family run Quinta - where service is simple and warm. The pool area is lovely and the wines are good. The rooms are clean and eclectic.
Nothing - we would stay here again.

I really enjoyed the personal service and the fact that the whole vibe was very friendly and the business family run. The shared dining experience made it interesting as we got to speak to other guests which we might not do in a larger hotel.
The food was tasty (especially the pumpkin balls :-) ). We were also given lots of lovely wines and ports. Miguel explained everything and was very personable.
Nothing, everything was great. As staff were often busy it might be an idea to introduce an honesty box in the bar so guests can serve themselves when staff aren't around.

Very beautiful place with wonderful and sweet staff. Dinner is served for everyone at the same time and at the same table, which is nice.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The location and views are incredible. Very spacious, beautiful rooms. Miguel and his family are the best hosts, made us feel like home. Can’t forget to mention - THE DINNERS were such a wholesome experience. Sharing the table with other guests, eating delicious homemade food and drinking their wines were the cherry on top of the cake. Highly recommend and we will be back.

The location was in a beautiful tiny mountainside orchard with stunning views and a beautiful pool. Our room was in the old house with pretty details, a huge bed, and the AC worked marvelously! Our two nights of dinners felt special to gather with people around the world and the food was delicious
We were a little confused on the drinks/pool/towel area so perhaps a little info sheet on amenities or how to order wine etc

Nice location and excellent dinner! The welcome glass of port was a nice touch
Bed was a little uncomfortable. Sheets slid around and mattress pad was plastic.

The host was very attentive and helpful. I highly recommended the dinner meal for an extra fee. The before and and after drinks are a bonus on top of the wonderful meal. It was a memorable visit. All the wine and port came from there vineyard, it was excellent. The included family style breakfast was very very good and different each morning.

The views. The owner was very friendly, and dinner was exceptional. Room was very nice and spacious.
We could hear everything going on in the bedroom upstairs, EVERYTHING…
We were in the room below other guests and very clearly heard their private moments.

This Quinta is a place where memories are made. Hidden away in a small village in the Duoro Valley with a view to take your breath away, one knows from the minute of arrival they have found a very special place. The grounds, the rooms, the small pool, the vineyards - all wonderful and then there is Miguel. A man living his life with passion which he gladly shares with each and everyone of his guests. The shared dinners in the evening were definately a highlight of our stay there. The meals, cooked by Miguel and his lovely team of ladies were made and served with love not to mention delicious. All the guests of the house shared one big table which brought us all together and the evenings were full of shared stories, thoughts and ideas. Quinta da Casa Cimeira shall remain forever in our hearts.
Our room was spectacular - the best view in the house but the bathroom needs some repairs/updating. This however in no way took away from our experience there.

Amazing, cozy, relaxing, friendly atmosphere.
The host family did a wonderful job to fill all the guests requests.
Exceptional breakfast every morning and the dinners were amazing and tasty accompanied with good wine/porto.
The words cannot say enough about our 2 days stay at Casa Cimeira.
Miguel exceeds any expections.

They went out of their way to make you feel at home and provided a pleasant and sociable stay. Family run, unique, beautiful facilities, excellent food, good value.
Not a dislike but just a note that the place is located up some very steep and narrow roads.

Very warm reception with port served at check in. Wonderful dinner at a long shared table with cheese course, main course of bacalhau, vegetables, and salad and a very good dessert. Wine and port served during and after. Breakfast was good although no hot offerings.
The room needed some updating, but was large and quite comfortable. Shower could have been updated as well.

Everything was smooth from start to finish. The place is amazing and the staff is equally amazing. Miguel is the owner and runs the place. He is probably one of the kindest and most considerate people I have met. He genuinely cares about his guests and goes out of his way to make sure everything is going well. When you stay here you should also have dinner every night. A communal dinner with the other guests, amazing food, and bottomless port and wine for one price. How can you go wrong? This could end up being the highlight of our visit to Portugal. Thank you very much Miguel and staff for your hospitality. We will be back!!

This place is situated within beautiful scenery with stunning views. Also plenty of lovely homemade produce and the chance to try the delicious wines and port made by the vineyard. The location is also walking and driving distance from a number of other vineyards. A great accommodation!
