Beautiful view in front of the house. Easy access to the house.
Types of stair up to the small bed room should be more steady.

The location was amazing. Reaching the house was easy. The house was very spacious and well equipped.
The private jacuzzi was a big plus.
The house could be cleaner.

Very remote. There are no restaurants nearby. The place had a perfect sized kitchen to prepare your own meals. Lovely scenic views from the property.
Had all the essentials, hairdryer, free WiFi, Netflix available.
Shower was small but did the job.

Conveniant location for us. Helpful and nice hosts. The house was clean and simple.
The house did not have any living room/sofa. The TV did not work. Almost too spartan equipment.

Upkeep could be better

we can see northern light here. the house was well equipped and warm. the location was great if you drive yourself. we looking somewhere near Vik, but this house suit to our budget even quite far from vik. from here we manage to visit Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon, Reynisfjara beach and Dyrhólaey light house and arc.
nothing else..

The house was in a great and picturesque scene, great for morning views.
Even though it was quite small for the night we were there, it served us well.
It was a nice surprise to have coffee, sugar, and oil provided.
The porch by the front door maybe could have been cleared of snow a bit better, but to be fair to the stay there was someone the next day out in a tractor clearing the parking area so I'm guessing they were doing there best to cope with the heavy snowfall.

Such an interesting location if you want to experience a good quiet Icelandic night. Beautiful surroundings, only 47 km from Vik. The cottage had everything you need for long as well as short stays. Strongly recommended

Scenery and its remote location perfect for northern light if that's what you look for. It is however easy to get to.from the main road!
Slightly small for a family of 4 but it is doable.

A decent place to stay where you've access to a kitchenette and staying in a group. There are several options for 1 bedroom,2,3 bedroom cottages. The kitchen has the necessary equipments and utensils.
The location is in a bit deserted area even though it's on the side of the road. There are no lights in the compound so it was very hard even to see the cottage. It was a self check in but I don't know if it's safe if no one else is staying in other cottages(there are only 4 of them), you're all on yourself in a deserted place!! Our door was a bit tough to open/lock, and it snowed overnight which didn't help the door any further. And the bathroom wash sink was clogged, the property manager isn't staying at the property so you need to call them in case of any issue. And I don't think they'll come unless there is any emergency.

Easy to get keys. They are in the lock box ready for you.
Hard to open, lock, and close both the upstairs and downstairs doors. Even with instructional sign hard to lock upstairs door from the outside and even HARDER to lock the downstairs door from the inside. The metal bracket on door frame is loose and fixing.
The house is in a GREAT location to watch the Auroras and to be on your way to SE coast area.
BUT the hot tub did not completely work. The breaker kept tripping when you turned on the jets and you had to get out and fix. We had to do THREE times. First time took a phone call to owner, he was nice but I shouldn't have to deal with this 3 times over as a guest.
ALSO, upstairs toilet needs attention as the flapper inside tank leaks and water ran all night.
Tried to fix but no joy.
I didn't really feel like being an electrician and plumber on my vacation.
This house is very utilitarian but don't expect nice decor or furniture. No nightstand, just chairs, dirty couch in dinning area, shower is small and slippery to step up into and a concern for my wife who has a bad knee.
This house could do with some TLC both in the mechanicals or the house and the furniture, etc.
Stairs up to get into house main floor, stairs down to take a shower and do laundry from main floor.
No shower on main floor.
Don't know if I would stay there again other than location to move on to the SE coast and that it had a hot tub to watch the Auroras.
