Excellent location. Amazing staff. Great place all in all.

I love the location, the staff, the beach was amazing in the morning.
I believe that the venue just needs a revamp on their wooden furniture, not to change the rustic theme but to clean it up a bit. With new cupboards and a little more cleanliness I would gladly advertise this venue for free

Closeness to the beach
Not having airfreshners

Dinner and staff in dining area
Curtains were half on and half off rails. Bedside carpets were dirty beach was so neglected. Generally just a sad state. Staff very friendly and accommodating especially kitch. But when rroms so neglected
4.0
The view and location
There was no room microwave, iron, heater or electric blanket, no kettle to boil water in the room... Wi-Fi was not working... The parking area was not safe at all...

Loved the staff and how friendly they were... food was okay. The hotel has so much potential. I'd love to visit again, hopefully they'll be changes.
The parking Firstly, not safe. The room for the rate was a bit of a disappointment not to mention the state of the bathroom and even the blankets. The hotel honestly needs a revamp.

The dinner was surprisingly delicious! The staff was really friendly and helpful with our check-in and luggage and they were very accommodating in helping us to change our room to be closer to the entrance with all our luggage. The view of the ocean was also really nice.
Unfortunately, the location is not ideal and the road heading into Coffee Bay is absolutely terrible with the worst potholes where you have to drive on the side of the road in some areas. It's a renowned bay that's good for the big fishing enthusiasts but definitely, not a place I'd recommend as a night's stay-over when traveling long distances as it's VERY far off the N2. Also, there are a lot of stray dogs in the rural settlement area that bark at night, which kept us awake from about 2 am.

The view and the closeness of the beach
Discription of the facilities are not accurate.
Rooms need attention. No mini supermarket on premises only a spaza shop down the road. Not recommended.
Breakfast was ok but supper not worth your money.
Limited wifi only in restaurant and deck
The road is VERY bad
They had no electricity due to lots of rain. On the second day of our stay the generator ran out of fuel
5.0
The easy-access beach and view, the kind staff and their homebaked bread.
There is a tarven just outside the lodge. The main supper was always finished for us during our stay, so we ate untasty food the 1st night, and then we had to make a plan to get food outside the premises.

The hotel is situated on the beach and the restaurant overlooks the sea. As far as accommodation goes in the Transkei, this is a very good hotel. The dinner was buffet style, a little limited in selection, certainly for the price. Breakfast was good. The staff were helpful and friendly and they accommodated us with allowing us to part our motorbikes in a more secure location close to our rooms.
I feel the pricing for dinner is exhaustive for what you get, sort of held to ransom possibly due to the limited supply in the area. Rooms could possibly do with some revamp and fixing up, but this was acceptable for the location.

The seaview was great
The place needs to be revamp to be a modern place it needs renovations.

Nothing can beat the view, our room was located right above the beach.

Amazing piece of South African lanscape with a private beach at a stones throw
Dinning options limited

The location is excellent very near to the beach.
The room balcony had a very nice view to the ocean but the balcony per se was unappealing and unhospitable
The Hotel is very old and the room where we staied was almost delapidated. The bed and bedding old too. The food was ok for a low cost hotel but definitively not good for the money we paid. The price we paid was the most expensive compared to all other properties where we staied in the Wild Coast.

We loved the view from the room, the staff, the easy access to the beach and the experience of the wild coast. Will definitely see us again. Pity the road isn't under your control.

Everyone was very friendly and the service was great, we had an amazing family holiday 🤩
Perhaps a bigger selection of seafood for the seafood buffet and a 'laundromat' to just wash and dry our towels but otherwise it was perfect 👌

Friendly staff and the beauty of the place. It deserves its name ocean view as it is literally on the beach.
Nothing. However the road to coffee bay is very bad full of potholes

Waking up with an ocean view is out of this world. Tranquil and beautiful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the seafood buffet.
The staff are incredible, lovely people.
Reception does their utmost best to assist.
The place has INCREDIBLE potential if investments are done to modernize the rooms, touch up the facilities and to prevent stray animals from entering the restaurant.
There is an overall hygiene issue with the rooms. Bed sheets were spotty, and the bathrooms need to be redone. My partner found a hair in the bed before we got in. Not exactly the most comforting thing to see.
The pictures of the room and the experience of the room have a slight disconnect.
Windows are corroded, light switch falling apart and bathroom is functional but not pleasant.
The hotel is pet friendly, so beware that stray dogs/cats can enter the restaurant while you are eating. The animals do no harm and the staff routinely chase them away. But wet, stray animals is not the most amazing sight when sitting for a meal.
There is a tavern just before the hotel so the grounds leading to the hotel tend to be littered with trash and party-goers.
Once we accepted the room for what it was, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Also the potholes are a nightmare. You will spend 2-3 hours driving 60KMs to get there or to leave. Impossible to drive above 60km/h for more than a few seconds. Your car will feel the tough roads.
The buffet is very delicious. The free juices are slightly underwhelming as they taste like weak concentrate mix. I would pay slightly more for actual fruit juice

The fact that the is braaing area but I was not allowed to braai.plus the are lots of mosquitoes

There was a slight problem with the dinner on Saturday night due to the seafood special BUT your staff were so efficient and rectified and turned what could have been a sour experience into an awesome experience.
The roads to get to the establishment. All the potholes - all the establishments that benefit from the holiday makers why do they not get together and try and fix them. It will give the local people some income and also attract more holiday makers. That road is terrible.

Food was nice
Toilet facility had a leak, dstv remote no batteries.

- Food was horrible (dinner)
- Breakfast there were limited options
- I struggled to have a desk and to work on because the one we had was our food and some drinks there was no space for a laptop. On top of that the balcony had no table had only a wet chair. The railing was not safe for my kid.
