Barcelo Carmen is comfortable, well-located, helpful front desk, with the best roof top bar!

Superb central location, within easy reach of activity hubs of the city. The room was adequate for our needs and had necessities - a shower cap, toothbrush/toothpaste, a good supply of towels, a hair dryer, and an in-room safe. Great shower! The bell -person was extremely helpful. The Hotel has the most amazing rooftop bar and swimming pool. The view from it just amazing - snow-capped mountains, Alhambra and experience both sunrise and sunset.

The front desk could not provide an adapter for US plugs/outlets but we appreciated their suggestion we buy one at the department store across the road.

Belle chambre rénovée, personnel très serviable, très bon petit déjeuner, emplacement central pour accéder à toutes les activités/restaurants, vue du rooftop

L'accès en voiture n'est pas des plus aisés, l'attente au bar du rooftop était longue, manque d'un porte serviette dans la salle de bain

Great stay at a central location

Centrally located hotel with private parking. The people working at the front desk were very helpful and provided us with tips on bars and restaurants nearby. The room size was good and we had a nice view of the city and the Alhambra.

Ubicación perfecta, me vino bien para el evento al que fui Me arrepenti de no haber contratado el desayuno, tenía buena pinta La cama muy bien, muy cómoda, el aire acondicionado es muy fuerte, para verano biene perfecto, yo quería calor ahora es invierno, y me costo un poco el que no se pase de calor la habitación, el lado bueno es que no pase frío

Que no había hamburguesa para pedir al servicio de habitación a cualquier hora

Si vas a Granada te sorprenderá el Barceló Carmen.

La calidad-precio es inmejorable. Sus instalaciones han sido reformadas hace un año, por lo que parece todo nuevo. Tiene un estilo mudéjar envolvente. Además está muy céntrico.

Le camere sono nuovissime e molto ben arredate. Tutto molto pulito e curato, anche nelle aree comuni. La terrazza è spettacolare, con una bellissima vista su tutta la città e l'Alhambra. Buono anche il livello della colazione.

Unica pecca l'assenza del bidet in camera.

Recommended, newly built with great location and parking

Overall we were pleased with our stay and attribute majority of this to the fact that the hotel is newly built/reconstructed. Therefore, all facilities works well and are super clean. Staff was great from reception to bar and breakfast service. We also managed to get a street view room at 5th floor, which was great given our arrival during 3 Kings parade happening right on the street. We also loved a extra large bed in our room.

We were happy with everything so no dislikes. However, few small things are worth mentioning. Breakfast could be improved, especially taste of the coffee was inconsistent over our stay. Food options were fine, but there was nothing extra, and we missed fried egg for example, which seem to be standard even in 3-star hotels. Despite newly built, there were already few defects in our bathroom, e.g., leaking shower tap, and shower glass making strange noise when opened.

Overall good, however needs some attention

Room was comfy however small for two people. Breakfast was good, restaurant downstairs overall satisfactory.

Foreign TV channels weren’t working. Room with view was mainly of opposite building chiller unit. Would not pay extra for the view again. No complimentary water in the room. Same dish in restaurant/cafe in the lobby served same dish prepared completely different way during the same day. Needs consistency.

Amazing experience!

Absolutely loved it! Stylish, comfortable, spotless clean and modern. Very comfy beds, huge tv in the room, well equipped gym. Everything what one may need.

Fabulous hotel

Great location in centre of town. Lovely room huge bed and walk in shower. Maid service exceptional. Spotlessly clean. Lovely roof top pool and sun terrace with amazing views.

Excellent value for money, in the center of town for great design hotel

great design, very clean, excellent location and nice staff. Access for large cars as well in private parking

the hotel has been closed for renovations and the outcome was spectacular. The new decor was amazing The new reception and The new bar as you enter the hotel was just what you needed after a day out in granada, Staff very helpful and friendly The hotel location is always a winner for me as so central for everything

Not as advertised

The staff were friendly and helpful for the most part. Newly renovated. Rooftop view is fantastic.

One of the main reasons we booked was for the pool and the gym. The rooftop view is amazing but the pool is as big as a hot tub and the lounge chairs are few and far between. The gym had one (yes one) dumbbell. No mats, no water. The staff said all the weights were stolen 2 weeks ago. There is also some construction going on next door, both nights we were woken by the sound of barrels (?) in the early morning.

The shower: - water volume was low - water temperature was not constant (very hard to get it on the right temperature) - water shield was not good, so the bathroom floor got wet every time

comfortable stay and great location, but unlikely to return after seti g the poor cleaning practices on check out day

slap bang in the centre of the city. easy to walk to all of the central attractions, tho it’s a very steep climb to reach the Alhambra or Albaicin. you might want to jump in a taxi for the short ride and escape the incline!! Taxi rank opposite the hotel. lovely roof top bar with panoramic views to unwind in at the end of the day. the rooms are a bit tired but very functional. a lack of mirror in one room shortage of sockets in another.

we were a little shocked that on our check out day (12 mid day check out) our room was stripped and prepared for the next guests whilst we were having breakfast- we hadn’t finished packing or using the facilities in the bathroom, so the incoming guests would not have had the clean room you would have expected. This seemed to be the normal as we saw the cleaner in other rooms lifting suitcases off beds to strip & clean before guests had checked out. I’m sure that this isn’t compatible with a robust covid policy
