Just exceptional.

Room was quiet, visually stunning, very comfortable and had every facility we could have wanted. Staff were exceptional in both their advice, discussion, presentation and helpfulness.

Superb

Location is fantastic, walking distance to restaurants and the wine tram. Parking on site was easy. The rooms were large and very comfortable. Modern and clean bathroom. Everything was of a very high standard. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

Excellent

Perfect location to explore the picture postcard town of Franschhoek. Buffet breakfast although simple was beautifully presented and enhanced with hot food options. The small quiches/frittatas were delicious. We stayed in the Mountain Suite and the accommodation was spacious and comfortable. It’s own wrap around terrace being a real bonus and a great place to relax. All in all, the Avondrood is a perfect representation of the delights of Franschhoek.

Pool looked cloudy (not sure it should have been) but due to weather we didn’t use it anyway.

Franschhoek’a diamond.

Everything was perfect. The room has significant interior, every detail is thought out. The lobby, bar and courtyard are cozy, comfortable and it feels like as you live at your own home. And of course the greatest thing of this hotel is service and staff: I’ve never had such hospitality even in super luxury hotels.

Excellent stay and location to town.

We asked for a quiet room which they made sure we had. We couldn’t fault anything. The minute we arrived to when we left the staff were so helpful and caring. Breakfast was great.

Delightful place to go for a short or long stay in Franschhoek

Small boutique guest house with lovely rooms close to the centre of Franschhoek with comfortable beds, secluded pool, great breakfasts and friendly helpful staff. Owner Justin Mitchell was especially friendly and informative regarding places to go, taste wine and eat.

The best guest house in Town

We were blown away by David who welcomed us. He was very accommodating and we felt home from the start. Jenny served us breakfast, I could not believe they had almond milk, gluten free bread and even coconut sugar for my special diet. The place is very homey and solar panels cover for load shedding. The rooms are very big and very comfortable. We will come back again!

Wonderful

The location was perfect, the staff incredibly friendly, the rooms spacious and beautifully decorated.

Personally I prefer more natural light and more privacy but it wasn't an issue.
