Pleasant hotel in the heart of Haugesund

Location and breakfast

Nothing much. There is no staff when you arrive at the hotel, and you only get a code to the front door when your room is ready so not ideal if you arrive a bit earlier than the check in time stated if you want to drop your bag off.

It was a short stay, but very pleasant.

A great location and the breakfast was very good. The building had historical interest which was an added plus.

No parking, but understandable.

Hotel or Bed and Breakfast?

Clean and well decorated. Central location. Cleaner has a beautiful singing voice 🤩 It actually made my visit.

This is a tough one. The hotel is basically unmanned, with no food or bar facilities, except for breakfast, which in my mind, makes it more of a bed and breakfast than an actual hotel. You get a code to get into the building and your room, only once you have paid in full. I hadn't read the email so was standing in the rain for a while before I was let in the building. Once in the building, there are no staff. In fact I met a member of staff on my last morning, and was greeted with a pleasant 'Hello'. This was my only interaction with any member of staff. Except hearing the wonderful voice of one of the cleaning staff, from within a room. The dobbel room was clean but too small for two people. I'm sure that this type of bed and breakfast accommodation is popular, but not if you are expecting the personal touch.

Banken Hotel in Haugesund.

Great breakfast selection, happy helpful staff who spoke good English. Nordic Shuffleboard in the lounge area. Complimentary tea and coffee any time.

Sweet one-night stay.

Nice location in the heart of the city with good restaurants in a couple of minutes' walk. Comfy double bed in an attic room with great cross ventilation.

Finding nearby parking was tricky and figuring out how to use the payment system when everything was explained in Norwegian was even trickier. We waited for someone to show up to pay for their car and asked him how to use the system. Staff we can explain it would take a lot of stress off guests.

Good option to stay

Good location, near center and quay. Room was not big, but comfy. There's a terrace which you can visit during the day. Enter system use codes, you can't lose card it worked well. Good breakfast, contained not only basic dishes. While check out, we were need to leave luggage for a while, administrator checked the system and allowed us to leave it in our room, where we collected it later.

No any thing. Just TV didn't work, which for us was not critical and we didn't ask administration.

Nice staff en a beautiful interior. Small rooms but all the space we needed.

Digital check in felt a bit un personal and the at the roofbar it was only available to order trough vips and that can only be used by the Norwegian people.

I fully recommend it.

Very clean hotel in a very good location (in the center of the city and one lane above the picturesque harbor). Excellent breakfast.

It does not have a parking lot but there is a private parking lot almost 200 meters away at reasonable prices for Norway.

Stylish base in Haugesund

Breakfast area cramped but good food. Location excellent, roof terrace a plus.

Instant coffee in the room these days doesn’t cut it. Nespresso machine and capsules are the standard now for this level of hotel. Room a little spartan, the odd rug would help. Useless internet please fix
