Very enjoyable ( except for the rain) we would definitely stay again

Fantastic location with beach across the road and restaurants nearby. We had a great view from our room and lovely little balcony to sit on. Staff very attentive and friendly.

Best choice in Shoal Bay!!

Great facilities, lovely staff. Amazing location. Such a beautiful town.

$50 per hour if you ask to have late check out. That’s pretty steep when checkout is 10am.

Starting to look a bit dated Th sofa bed that I moved to when my daughter kept sleeping in our bed was extremely uncomfortable and the bedding such as blankets and doona was very uncomfortable.

A great location

Location and how close it is to the beach and restaurants. Staff are all friendly and helpful.

Whitesands section of hotel is not serviced daily. Not part of the experience we wanted. Expected to have the hotel experience with fresh sheets for 3 days or making the bed and not do it ourselves etc Also asked for room away from lifts and got one right next door to lifts after booking 8 weeks ahead.

Amazing location! Rooms in desperate need of some freshening!

It was an amazing location. Pool. Areas were great.

Rooms really need a freshen up, especially for the prices they charge. It was dull, a little smelly & just very dated. If they are going to keep charging the prices they do, it really needs to be nicer.

When we arrived at 12.15 the reception staff asked the other staff member “booking.com” people don’t check in till 2pm. I realise we are not guaranteed to check in early but felt like we were lower class. We were told they would call us when room ready. At 3.30pm we came back from beach to be told our room still was not ready. When I expressed that this was not good enough I had been told they had 72 check outs that day. Should be normal for a Sunday morning. We were given a $25 voucher and told to go into the pool for a swim and they would call. By 5.45 pm we were desperate for a shower and to get ready for dinner. We were told that our room was ready and they had not called us but could see that we should have been. Whilst we were provided another 3 $25 vouchers I feel it’s still not good enough. We still checked out at 9.30am. Great location which is why we stayed but when we used a voucher for a cocktail we were given a buzzer and told we would have to go upstairs to get it once it went off. When we said that this seemed strange when we picked them up we were told if we had been nice to the bar staff they would have bought it to us. Not sure what that means when we were more than nice to your staff and patient. We love Shoal Bay but definitely rethink next time where we would stay.

Was to be two single beds. Was a king, called receptionist and told them, they confirmed our booking was for single beds and told us they would fix it. They never did.

We love it here and will no doubt be back again when the opportunity arises.

We have stayed here at the Ramada multiple times and love it. This time we had a beautiful view over the water. The Ramada is situated perfectly to the beach, shops and restaurants. It is also very central to other places of interest such as Tomaree Head, Nelson Bay township and Fingal Bay. Walking along the foreshore is easy and restorative. Great value in shoulder seasons.

The rooms are now getting a little dated - this will naturally occur over time. That said, everything was spotless and functional and the furniture had been updated. The shower was also over the spa bath which doesn't bother us but may not suit everyone. In high season, rooms are a bit over-priced, but that is pretty much the case for most places.

Great location, great facilities but cleaning and maintenance not the best!

Great location

The rooms are very dated for the price and were not cleaned well. The corridor from the lift to our room was not vacuumed as the carpet was full of rubbish for days. I expected better cleaning in a resort of its class.

Great location and good facilities, however the resort needs a good refresh.

Great location, great pool and gym facilities, handy parking facilities and the staff were fabulous with all of our requests.

Furniture and fit out of our unit was very dated. The air conditioning didn’t work well in the bedrooms, and there were no fly screens on the balcony doors so mosquitos would come in at night if the door was left open for air. Whilst staff accommodated, detergent for the dishwasher wasn’t provided and our request for a double bed instead of twin beds was missed / ignored.

The apartment was spacious and had a great view, however it needed upgrading.

Location was excellent near shops, beach, and Tomaree National Park. We had an apartment with a sweeping view of Shoal Bay. There was a fridge, stove, coffee machine and kettle. It was handy having a washing machine and dryer in the apartment. Despite the crowd, we were occasionally able to enjoy the spa. The beach was just a few minutes walk away

The furniture, curtains, wall and carpet were dated. On the first night we saw a couple of cockroaches running along the carpet in the living room. The fridge shelves were cracked and sagged when we stored food on it. Also one of the bedroom wall had a dent from the door handle. I emailed some of these problems to reception but no one acknowledged me. Even though there was no cleaning included in the time we were there, the towels and bin bags should have been replaced. We had to launder the towels daily to have clean towels. At night we could hear patrons from the bar nearby, it closed at 2am on Fri and Sat. On our last night there was a loud party nearby (not Ramada guests) that went on till 3.30am, so it was difficult for me to sleep as I am a light sleeper

Quality time

The place was amazing and very relaxing. Clean apartment with a great indoor and outdoor pool. Very relaxing jacuzzi 😌 will definitely back again.

Probably a bit too pricey for what you get but the location / convenience somewhat makes up for it.

It was good, room had issues and weather didn’t help mean we were stuck inside it a lot

Location was great and pool area amazing for my young kids

The sofa was broken and the room had a strong damp smell. Definitely wouldn’t book that room again but previously stayed in a spa beach view room and that was 100 times better

Relatively quiet but that's ok with me. Great for all three generations in our group.

The location is almost impossible to beat. Our room was at the front and was not noisy despite the main street being near the apartment. The parking was a definite benefit. The choice of two different types of pool was a big plus for our grandchildren. The stand up paddle boards was a nice touch.

Realistically there are no issues with the Ramada. If was being built today wider turns in the car park would be an improvement.

It served our purpose

The bed was comfy and the spa was nice

When we entered we were turned away quite abruptly saying there were no vacancies then I got online and booked and was able to stay, the lady at the desk was also rude, with the price of the room we at least expected Netflix or foxtel but there was none

Comfortable and peaceful

We were extremely thankful for the stay in one of the sky villa rooms. Very light filled, spacious, clean and a gorgeous view. I think the bathroom and kitchen need a facelift as they are a little outdated. Location of this resort is superb.

My husband was not so happy with one of the check in staff. Poor professional interactions and accountability when another staff member recognised our check in delay could have been minimised.

Location was good. 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and extra toilet was good. Very spacious for 5 people.

Unhealthy mouldy smelly rooms with excuses and no real customer service or ethics

The location

Mould and poor hygiene in rooms and bathrooms and tired and broken furniture and doors including locks being a fire hazard. This hotel is not one star due to poor maintenance, cleaning and staff attitudes.

Very disappointed, such poor accommodation ruined our holiday

I really feel let down by Booking.com , I feel that we were mis-led and the accommodation was mis-represented. We thought that we would be staying in Ramada, NO in separate. Zenith Apartments. This unit was NOT accessible by lift, was in a separate building, you could not use a luggage trolley as there were 3 sets of concrete stairs . The concierge showed us to the room, but did NOT offer to help us carry our cases and other luggage. The apartment was not very clean and I had to complain 3 times before a filthy ceiling fan was cleaned properly.. We were advised that if you needed anything, just to phone reception -- NO PHONE. When cooking or using toaster, turn on extractor fan -- NO EXTRACTOR FAN. Open window or sliding patio doors --NO FLY SCREENS. The unit felt damp and smelt MUSTY. We were so disgusted with this place, we left early. I've been with Booking .com both here in Australia and Europe for many years, but really felt let down this time and not sure if we will use your company again.

We didn't see any Dolphins, they must have been in other area of the bay. . Only joking couldn't think of anything we didn't like.
