It’s a lovely small beachfront hotel. The use of space between the rooms is extraordinary! The staff is very helpful. The food (beach front!) was delicious. We were lucky to spot baby turtles hatching on the hotel’s beach! The beach is to die for! The price is very reasonable for the location.
The lack of AC was a problem for some of our party, however, strong fans did a good job . The showers clogged once in a while and they sometimes smelled like sewage.

The beach area was extraordinary, beautiful, and surrounded by nature. The personnel were helpful, friendly, and exceptional, especially in offering modified food for my little one, organizing tours, and providing information. The food was amazing, including the breakfast. I would have loved to stay longer to try out the entire menu.
I know this is an eco-friendly resort. The temperature was too hot inside the rooms, but the sea breeze helped at night.

helpful staff.
nice beach area and jungle style garden in hotel territory.
sunset Dj sets.
in room - no air con, water pressure very weak, water are salt, room very dark, no mirror in bathroom, uncomfortable places for charging.
this type of room not worth ~200$ per night at all. it’s unbelievable overprice. how it’s possible charge 200$ for room without air conditioning in most windless place of the hotel?
breakfast - very poor! disaster!

staff is very kind and the hotel design is just amazing.
breakfast is too small, the water tap is too salty and must be improved, I can’t imagine more than 3 days taking salty showers 🚿

Located on the beach, but you had to go through a large pile of smelling seagrass to enter the water. At other hotels they removed daily the seagrass but not at Dos Ceibas.
The staff at the restaurant was nice, the staff at the reception was only chatting with each other.
The room was really overprized. Probably because it is in Tulum and at the beach.
The room and bathroom are very basic and especially the bathroom could do with a refreshing new renovation. There is no airco but that is OK for an eco resort. However the room was so hot that they had placed 2 small fans in the room. However there was no flow of air from the outside in the room, the heat stayed in the room and sleeping was difficult.
The bed had a mosquito net, that was good. However outside the net there were many mosquitos, so we had a lot of bites.

Location was amazing. Great beach with overall cool tropical jungle vibe.
Not having air conditioning was the deal breaker for the price paid… if they put in AC units to the rooms I would give a 10. Also think the bathrooms could be a little better but wasn’t too picky about it.

Absolutely beautiful stay - kind, friendly staff, and the location on the beach was absolutely magical. Really enjoyed the dos Ceibos breakfast. Perfect place to stay in Tulum! Staff were very helpful with organising other tours and external trips. Couldn't recommend more.

Good location, a little further away from the loud beach clubs.
Own beach club is free of access for the hotel guests, no minimum spend.
Room with beach view is very nice!
Prices high compared to other areas in Mexico, but still on the lower end for Tulúm.
We booked the lowest category and ended up with the room right next to the power generator which is operated 24/7 by the hotel next door. Right after arrival we asked for another room and with a little extra fees we got a very nice room with sea view.
We knew about missing AC and the salt-water shower. It was ok, but due to the closeness to the ocean, bed sheets were quite damp/clammy.

The general feel of the hotel and it been eco friendly is nice
Was difficult on hot nights to sleep with only a fan, didn’t like the windows open due to insects and bites, no fridges so water is hot and drinks expensive but it is in tulum. Was moved to another room and told was an upgrade but moved to exactly the same room. A lot of seaweed at beach front and none of it moved, was rotting and had fleas jumping hopping around it. Didn’t feel clean with the shower. Not much choice for food away from the hotel and wasn’t great

Location of the hotel
The front desk agent was unkind. Dirty room. Mattress extremely hard and uncomfortable. Cheap and noisy fans instead of air conditioning.

Staff friendly, helpful and reactive. When asked for extra lights they fixed this although the light switch was far from the bed and only slightly better :)
Bungalow needs a makeover. Bathroom tiny in proportion to the size of the bungalow when it is supposed to house three persons. Not enough hooks to hang humid towels up on for these to dry. Water pressure and hot water unreliable. Climbing the stairs to the mezzanine was awfully impractical (and I am agile) if one needs to go to the toilet at night, no bedside lamp. Overall lighting awful - couldn't see a thing. Once over the disappointment of the facilities we did nonetheless, have a really great time.

Nice hotel on the beach, cleanliness, kindness of the staff, good breakfast and food. Good position a little afar from noisy restaurants and clubs along the road to Tulum. We got lucky with a room giving directly on the beach
lack of attention for details: the door lock wasn’t working smoothly, just one power outlet. It was not allowed to use iron, hairdryer and electric razor. No mini fridge, there were places to refill a jar with fresh water but it wasn’t possible to keep your own food/drink cold.

Having the beach at our doorstep. We stayed in one of the studios and was lovely having a small beach house for us. The room was very pretty with a lovely front porch to chill.
Breakfast was good, with pancakes for the kids and a few freshly cooked options for the grown ups. The restaurant food is ok, conveniente if you want to stay in the premises all day - lovely beach facilities.
Good range of massage options, absolutely beautiful massage but extremely overpriced (£75 for 30 mins, is double of London price)
The rooms only had a fan instead of air con, it wasn’t terrible in terms of temperature but air con would help with the humidity levels. The bathrooms could do with updating, mainly the shower - it’s an eco hotel so you shower and brush your teeth with salty water and you get the feeling you are never too clean….!

The beach was incredible and the food was good. The staff was wonderful - Daniel and Diego at the front desk were incredibly helpful with suggestions and helping us out with travelling around the city. At the restaurant, Ronny and Marcello were really great and friendly, as well as everyone else there. Julian drove us to the cenotes and showed us an amazing taco place.
The wifi was spotty but we didn't mind too much.

The private beach. Employees are nice.
It would be great to have free access to bicycle.

it is so cosy, quit and calm!
there is no hairdryer and airconditioner. but this is part of the deal. the fan was good and we adapted after first night.

Wonderful location, clean beach, great dining place in the garden with view on the beach. nice little outdoor bar with friendly personnel. The beach beds were nice, big 2 persoon sunbeds with shades and smaller ones near the waves.
Turtles had laid their eggs so we saw a baby turtle crawling to the sea. When you walk towards the south, the beach is endless, full with birds.
The maintenance of the rooms, especially the floor, bathroom. It was clean but renovation is needed in the cheapest rooms. The more expensive room with seaview was better maintained.
There were no plugs and bedlamps next to the bed. The lighting was not very cosy.

We had a lovely stay. The huts are a bit small but charming and comfortable. Except for a fridge and boiler, everything else is there. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly. We were happy with the location because it's at the end of the long road with beachclubs so it's more secluded than the rest of Tulum. The beach is stunning and we felt safe in the area.
A fridge and boiler would be a good addition. Also the shower water was quite salty but as a beach resort it's absolutely ok.

Our flight was delayed and the hotel was great at making sure we were still able to access the room when we arrived late. The filtered water around the hotel was really handy. The location (right on the beach) and the styling was lovely.
Three big issues that I consider problems relating to staff:
1. The included breakfast was inconsistent and unclear. The first morning it included fruit (as stated on the menu) but the second morning it didn't. When I questioned it, I wasn't given a proper explanation just that I would have to pay extra if I wanted fruit. (So I did.) The first morning my companion was told there was no tea included in the breakfast but it was a language barrier so eventually we did get it but were charged extra due to the back and forth.
2. Isabela didn't make an effort to help me with questions about the menu in English but went to the effort of using Goggle Translate on the last day to ask me to leave a good review referencing her on Tripadvisor on my last day. (Tip for staff: Don't ask customers to leave a good reviews for you if you aren't 100% they actually encountered good service and don't show effort just for a review but not to provide actual service. I was insulted that she did this.)
3. I was really disappointed that a tab wasn't opened for us when we arrived. As a result we kept having to pay every time we ordered a single drink at the bar on the beach and, to make things stressful, one of their card machine's wasn't working properly but they either didn't know or didn't tell us so at some point I was escorted to the front desk because my card declined for our breakfast (the fruit plate that should have been included and an iced coffee so we're not talking a lot of money). It was awkward and a waste of my time. I had used my Amex to book the hotel and previously for food and drinks however I was told I needed to find an alternative way to pay as the 'fees for Amex are very high for us'. I tried my backup credit card (a mastercard) and this was declined multiple times. After a 3am call to my bank it turned out to be the machine... when trying a new machine the next day it was fine.

the hotel was good and the location is beach front. but
you have to walk about 15-20 min to get to the crowded
area. the receptionist Aisha was helpful and happy all
the time! and the staff was good as well!
the bad this is there was no Air conditioner (AC) and it
was so hot even with the fan.

The hotel is located in a good area to get in contact with animals for example turtles.
The hotelstaff was very kind and helpful. Especially Santiago was always in a good mood and helpful.
There exists no buffet. You can order one small and fresh prepared breakfast, so you can prevent food waste. Also the meals were very good and tasty.
It was too touristic and expensive around the whole beach strip.
We missed local owned stores. There were everywhere designstores, expensive hotels and noisy bars/clubs.
The streets were full of waste, the impact of humans to nature is obvious and too much.
Also does not exist any information for tourists how to handle with turtles. There were so many tourists who behaved wrong and stressed them.
