Not a five star hotel

Really cool decor and good breakfast

The hotel smelled very fishy, the thermostat wouldn’t go below 24 degrees (hot) and the wifi didn’t work!

Cosy stay in central gothenburg with tasty breakfast

The hotel is very central and overall has a nice design and aesthetic. The breakfast was tasty although not particularly french (given the hotel prides itself on being of french taste). The bed was comfy enough and it was easy to check in and out. The bathroom was clean. Overall a good stay and would recommend others to stay as it was a very good price.

The carpets are dirty looking. The room is small and we struggled with 2 suitcases. The hotel uses time slots for breakfast and although we arrived at our given time - we were told there was no space! We were advised we could carry our plates in the lift down 4 floors but decided to wait instead. Eventually a table came free but it all felt a bit awkward. Not much space for towels to hang in the bathroom. The air vent in the bedroom is loud. There is building work opposite but this wasn’t noisy at all. It may reflect how we got the room so cheap. It says it is a 5 star hotel on booking.com but this can’t be correct. It doesn’t meet the requirements.

Looked good on the surface but check the room you are getting to avoid disappointment

The location was excellent and the ambiance and look and quirkiness was cool. Had a feel of disneys tower of terror about it with the lift that talks to you

The room size was too small. Big dealbreaker for me. There was no desk so I could not work and we could not open our cases anywhere except on the bed, there was no wardrobe or draws and we could barely walk past each other to get to the bathroom. I went to switch rooms but they were sold out so we left which they were accommodating and gracious about

Breakfast outstanding, even the smallest rooms are amazing, great location, very cool and quirky, felt like an adventure; take your spouse!

Exceptional

We had an early check-in and an upgrade: such a pleasant surprise on my birthday. Many thanks to the hotel management! The location is terrific: the train station and the shopping malls are literally on the doorstep. The sunny and freindly faces of the staff made up for the rainy weather) The breakfast was delicious and organised in time slots. The facilities are richly designed and clean, the beds are very comfortable.

One of my favourite hotels I've ever stayed in.

Such an unique, fun and quirky hotel Location couldn't be better. Staff very friendly and helpful. The lifts are hilarious and always put a smile on your face with the sounds that come out.

Few small issues with the bedroom. The room I had (101)really lacked storage. A very small wardrobe and no shelves so had to leave most our clothes in the suitcase or on the large couch. Only one charging point on one side of bed which isn't ideal for changing phones at night and it was hanging off wall so my charger kept falling off too.

Lovely stay in the city.

Everything exceeded my expectations. I didn’t expect such luxury for the price I paid for the room.

Great central location, great breakfast and staff. Noisy and some oddities.

The breakfast is fantastic, and served in a very cozy atmosphere, live fireplace etc. The staff is great and the windowsill/couch is very cozy place to people-watch in the room.

There is no door to the bathroom in the room, just a curtain. The noise level from the street is very loud in the evenings, they do offer you earplugs though, but they don't work for me. Even though the breakfast is great, they will kick you out if you stay over an hour.

breakfast set up was not great given remodelling in the top floor (small clunky tables, limited breakfast options), the rooms are also super tiny despite going for a “petite plus” option

A fantastic place to stay, such amazing value!

Quirky, pretty place. Impeccably decorated and a fun theme throughout. Location was amazing. Breakfast was great, undercooked scrambled eggs both mornings - if they resolved this, it would be top notch! High quality ingredients and large portions.

The mattress was so squishy, so much so it was at times uncomfortable. However, absolutely fine for the few nights we were there!

pleasant stay, though…

cool, clean and nicely decorated rooms. good variety at the breakfast lounge. location and views from the rooms were also great.

if you travel with big suitcases, or have a car, there is no help with luggage at the door or inside, and parking in front of the hotel is not possible… it was rather inconvenient during our check-in, so may be wise to inquire in advance.

Paris vibes in Gothenburg

Great location and great breakfast. Very friendly staff and a really cute hotel bar.

The hotel felt a bit run down with wallpaper coming off in out bathroom and the carpets looked like they needed a good clean. Our room didn't have a remote control for the TV and oneyof the bedside lamps didn't work. This was not rectifed during our stay.

I'd probably choose another hotel next time.

Breakfast was amazing, location was near everything important. Hotel was charming.

Because of the age of the hotel the room was incredibly small, with only a curtain on the tiny bathroom. We were on the floor just above the street where there were many pedestrians and streetcars running. Open windows were the only ventilation so we had to wear earplugs in order to sleep.
