Good

Under Floor heating. Location to activities & restaurants View good Nice modern bathrooms Towel Heaters really good Fireplace. Housekeeping helped with supply of wood & splitter hammer. Welcome device not working.

Too many messages & conditions prior to arrival. Shower rose in master bedroom bathroom isn't long enough, doesn't come out from wall far enough so water stream very close to wall. Taps on both bathroom sinks don't come out from under mirror far enough. Front verandah not cleaned recently. Built up dirt/leaves on floor Bbq is out in the rain.

Loved our stay at Snowman1 - hard to beat for a week of mountain biking and hiking!

Great, central location for our MTB trip, loved the view over the mountain. Smart and well laid out apartment, well stocked kitchen, and dryer cupboard came in handy after a wet day. Comfy beds. Excellent base for hiking and mountain biking. Hosts were responsive and friendly when an issue arose. Secure parking with enough room for both bikes and car. Hosts very helpful assisting with the return of some items we had accidentally left behind.

Shower drain was blocked causing a big leak into the hallway. This was fixed as the earliest possible opportunity, so cannot fault the responsiveness of the hosts. Slow internet, but I think that is a general issue in Thredbo(?)

Great location, spacious and comfortable. Close to all the cafes/restaurants and facilities.

It is a great location, beds were comfortable and quite spacious. The outdoor area was lovely and sunny and a great view of the mountain. Easy communication with staff/managers. Very helpful and friendly.

The hot water didn't last too long so was hard to enjoy a long shower which was dissapointing. The carpark for snowman 1 is short and awkward. But better than no carpark. But tricky for drivers like me! The place is ageing as is all of Thredbo so I think due some upgrades. We couldn't get the wifi to work but in fairness I'm sure the manager/owner would have been onto it if we had asked but we were so busy with racing that we just used our hotspots. Also, there wasnt any gas for the BBQ!

First class apartment in a magical setting

The location was excellent, close to Thredbo village and only a little bit uphill. Being on the ground floor meant we didn't have to climb up and down stairs and could save energy for nature walks. Furnishings were excellent, beds comfortable, linen sparkling white, towels fluffy, kitchen fully supplied - all around first class. The ground floor patio had a stone wall so we didn't see passers-by on the road, but gave us a great view up the mountain. There was no outside seating when we arrived but it appeared magically the next day. We were there in summer so can't comment on how it would be in winter, but even over Christmas the underfloor heating in the kitchen was appreciated on cold nights. A large garage has undercover parking, wood supplies and facilities for winter guests, such as ski racks.

Two small reservations: the big screen Apple TV worked well when we figured out how to make it work, but still it was clunky to operate, as Apple products generally are. No manual was supplied or available online. The Nespresso capsule coffee maker was apparently a top of the range but discontinued model, and the manual for it was not available even online - the manual supplied by the hosts was for a different model altogether. This model was nowhere near as easy to use as different capsule coffee-makers we have used previously. These were small negatives in our overall enjoyment of Snowgum 1, but could be mitigated for future guests. Wi-Fi in the apartment was generally good, but at night when everyone in Thredbo was using it, the capacity was exceeded. This is not a fault of Snowgum, but a common issue for remote areas generally. Expect regular refreshes if you try to watch a movie through streaming.

Beyond expectations! This place deserves a much higher rating!

When we checked in there was a beautiful complementary bottle of wine and coffee. The apartment was nice and warm, prepared for our arrival and we felt expected straight away! Very nice touch thank you! The apartment is modern, looks new and very spacious. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a walk in robe in the master. Lost of storage throughout. There is a special cupboard with a heater for drying ski clothes if needed, we used it on the first day as it was sprinkling on top of the mountains and it works very well! There is lots of entertainment, Netflix, Bluetooth speaker and board games in the living room. The kitchen is very well equipped and you can find every piece of necessary equipment to fry, bake or boil the most creative meals. Location is PERFECT! Opposite the main shops, seconds to pubs, restraints and supermarket. Overall it was a perfect stay in a perfect apartment. Car park is convenient under the building, wood fire logs were provided in the car park too. Towels, linen and shampoo and hair dryer was provided as well! Thank you so much for hospitality. We will come back next year!
