A rustic place close to nature with good vibes altogether!

Location is the highlight of this place, private beach, off-road approach and the rustic wooden cottages! Nothing better for the visual treat one can experience. We visited during the summer season still the climate was good, though a bit humid still better than most of the places in Middle East. After a long ride from Dubai we could make it to the souly lodge only by midnight but the staff was so welcoming with smile on their faces, adding it with this property's beauty we just forgot all our tiredness and sat for another 2 hours on our amazing balcony facing the sea! A room cannot be decorated in a better way! It was love at first sight for me once we entered and then the love kept going on and on. The best part was their open shower with sky and cocunut trees for company, it was so fun taking a bath in such an environment. Even the furnitures had a rustic feel to it, right from the balcony chairs to the low sitting options inside the room, everything was really pleasing to the eyes and to sit. The beach was very clean and long, though one should definitely not jump straight into the water as it is quite a dangerous beach and the waves are quite unpredicatable. Adding to which you don't have any lifeguards present so its a low score for me. We had seen one couple struggle to come out and personally we had a small incidence wherein we were suddenly spent away by the force of water, so just be cautious even if you are a good swimmer or taking kids along. Though the silence of that place will definitely make you sit there for hours, away from life's hustle. Souly Lodge has a breakfast buffet option, wherein you can enjoy the standard breakfast meals available around all hotels. Nothing great to talk about, but with the view what you get, it just makes the food taste a little better. If you are visiting Salalah, this place is a must for an off beat stay if the prices are within budget.

Price is a big let down & I think its a common problem for all the hotels/resorts in Salalah. Though for this price, Souly lodge should have more activities for their guests to be engaged, like beach volleyball or some other games. Currently, there is just a blank beach and nothing else to do.

NEVER AGAIN, i did early check out & spent the remainder if my vacation in a different venue

NOTHING on top of this they are literally thieves!! claiming to offer bb buffet & then decided to remove it!! publishing prices & in case you are refunding your money they cut it down to less than quarter!!

poor management, poor customer service, poor F&B quality, poor hygiene etc attached are the photos of food served!!

Wonderful stay close to nature

Wonderful place with lodges right on the beach. Nice design with comfortable beds, good AC and fantastic outdoor shower. Worth knowing that lodges don't have WiFi, you only find it reception (we saw it as a bonus:). Also, the restaurant is "dry" but you can bring your own drinks. Fab lobsters in the menu! Great location, perfect for exploring Wadi Darbat and other areas.

Very good

A very relaxing place to stay, the lodges are very comfortable and the outdoor showers are very refreshing.

The restaurant is a little bit basic so if you have a rental car then my advice is to explore more of Salalah for places to eat.

Ok stay

beautiful private Bungalows, straight on the beach, Ibrahim from Reception was kind and polite.

No bar, no pool, very poor breakfast, hot food served very cold, which made us sick.

Beautiful beach huts!

Beautiful huts, right on the beach, very comfy, great restaurant. LOVED the fabulous open air shower!!

I got eaten alive by bugs (but that was my fault!) - have bug spray handy!! Also it was such a pity to stay right on the beach, but not be able to swim. The water smelled bad and was fully of algae.

Not up to rating. We left after 1 night, had planned to stay 5.

Breakfast very poor, unacceptable for the price. Room was acceptable.

Proper WiFi coverage, upgrade of breakfast, orange juice was powder tang, instant coffee, only white bread , poor buffet range. So easy to improve.

Souly Salalah and Empty Quarter

We liked everything about this lodge. The location on a quiet beach is wonderful. We also stayed at the Souly Lodge Empty Quarter and we highly recommend both lodges.

Great location - quite place and great supportive Ms smiling staff especially Ibrahim and super Ali driver!

Nice stay in a nice place

The bungalows with access to the beach are amazing and beautiful. It's very private and there's enough space for everyone. The outside shower is definitely a nice extra.

Breakfast could have been a bit better. Since it's in Salalah and there's an abundance of fruits, I would have expected fresh juice.

It was quiet and comfortable week with the nature

Exceptionally special place to get a "digital detox" and relax with the nature. Beautiful cabins just on the sea. You will hear the sound of the sea during all night and birds will wake you up on sunrise.

Please, do something with the restaurant. It's impossible to eat the same breakfast and the same menu if you stay more than 3-4 days.

Very charming place to avoid resorts

Localisation front the beach is perfect. Charming bungalows. We recommend the night in desert proposed by the hotel. Breakfast is very good.

For information there is no alcool or beers at the restaurant. We recommend to take a taxi from the airport for 15 OMR because the hotel propose 20. Unfortunately there is no free transferts to the city (taxi cost 15 OMR one way).

Beautiful getaway for a short trip

We were highly impressed by the Souly Ecolodge Salalah! The location was awesome - beachfront, with no neighbor in sight. Our unit was set back from the ocean, and still had wonderful views and quick access to the beach. The highlight was the outdoor shower attached to the room. The size of the room was great, and the service provided by the staff was good. Even the early check-in was done without any issue. The location is awesome and as good starting point, to see Wadi Darbat and the Baobab forest. We would recommend this as a wonderful accommodation option for visitors to the Salalah area!

The included breakfast was quite basic, okay for a day or two, but nothing fancy or special. Worst was the Arabic night buffet, that had basically 4 options to chose from, all of them dry and of no taste. Even the grilled prawns were just eatable, but far away from fresh. As many others already mentioned, there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms, what should be standard nowadays, especially to accommodate for international travelers.

Fantastic beach bungalows

Fantastic location, the beach bungalow feeling is unique for oman. Watching dolphins from the breakfast and seeing the sunrise from your bed.

Certain furniture could be changed/renewed but nothing to complain about.

Heavenly beach resort

Different than an usual hotel.The concept for an eco friendly environment in a pristine beach really makes you feel in unison with nature.

Superb

Souly Lodge is located around 30 minutes from Salalah City, on the most breathtaking beach. The cottage is quite big and well maintained. The bathrooms are very clean too, although the outdoor shower might be a little uncomfortable for a few guests. We had a beautiful experience at Souly and would love to come back again someday.

The breakfast experience was a little unpleasant due to a lot of flies buzzing around.

Feels like paradise.

Souly Lodge feels like paradise. The bungalows are amazing, we especially liked the outdoor shower. The location and the beach are wonderful, you always feel close to nature and the whole atmosphere is so peaceful. For breakfast there is a good variety of food to chose from, and the staff is super friendly. We hope to come back!

After sunset there are many mosquitos.
