Stay at Agapi Beach for a holiday to remember
The staff at Agapi Beach were so hospitable and friendly whenever we needed anything or had questions. Special shout out to the Animation team who put on some incredible entertainment during our 2-week stay - the White Beach Party and Fire Show, Music Quiz night, Comedy and Acrobat Shows were particular highlights for us. The dedicated hotel beach was lovely and sandy and the sea was crystal clear blue. We really enjoyed Aqua Aerobics at the main pool too - the Animators did an amazing job of keeping everyone entertained and energised on their holidays! We also had amazing massages at the Aegeo Spa with some great discounts offered to us as guests which we would highly recommend to anyone staying at Agapi Beach - the perfect relaxation!
Our double room with garden view didn’t really have a garden view - it was more of a balcony with a bush view but it didn’t bother us too much as our room was isolated and away from any other guests so we weren’t disturbed! Also, the bed wasn’t that great comfort-wise and was quite firm - we got used to it in the end but would’ve been nice to have a bit more comfort given the quality of everything else about our room / the hotel in general! We are a vegan couple as well and food options at the hotel restaurant buffet were quite limited - we managed to get by with legumes, spaghetti, vegetables and plenty of salad + bread. There were a couple more options at the Mediterranean Street Food Bar Taka Taka including a vegan burger and falafel (without yoghurt!) which were really nice though :-)

Excellent resort, highly recommended
Super friendly staff. Excellent food. Lovely resort. Arrived late and some sandwiches were waiting for us in the fridge, nice attention. Would totally go again.
The aircon was not working well in the gym, making exercising more brutal! This would not stop me from booking again.

Wonderful relaxing holiday where we only had to turn up for food!
We had two garden bungalow rooms which were very centrally located with easy access to pool, restaurants, main bar etc. Very comfortable, even with three adults in one of them, but then we were not in our rooms very much. The main restaurant was excellent - a great variety of food including salads, local food, a daily roast meat and lots of deserts! It got very busy at certain times but staff took charge at these times to find you a table. As its All-Inclusive, there is so much food but there are other options if you want to skip a meal and just get snacks at the bars. Drinks are constantly available, including alcoholic drinks, as is ice-cream and fruit and snacks at the pool bar. Branded alcohol is extra but there is a good variety of cocktails included in the price. A tip - if you want anything other than wine or soft drinks at dinner, get it at the bar and take it in with you. All staff were very friendly and helpful - even the dining staff recognised us after a few days and always gave a warm welcome. Main pool gets busy and hosts the Aquagym and other more noisy entertainment but there are plenty of options to sit in the garden areas or at the smaller pools which are quieter and which we preferred. Facilities are good but after a while you need to get out and it is very easy to get a bus into Heraklion or a taxi from opposite the hotel. Our departure was in the evening but there was no problem with us using the pools and dining room after check out at 11am. They even provided lockable storage for our luggage and a room with clean towels where we could all shower before leaving. However, having seen this room, I can see why there are some negative comments about rooms in the main building. The bungalow rooms have already been refurbished and are far superior to what we saw of the rooms in the main building.
Booking a taxi through reception desk was a lot more expensive than booking a taxi directly with a local company or taking one parked at the taxi rank across the road. There are a lot of comments in reviews about reserving sunbeds early in the morning and this did happen (but it happens everywhere, not just this hotel).

Dinner buffet at main restaurant could be better but didn't have the chance to taste the other options which looked great

I would never stay here again! It was our worst hotel experience during our 3+ weeks in Greece!
The food was better than we expected and the restaurant staff was very friendly.
The website clearly states that for the all inclusive package "All premium international liquors are included throughout the resort." That is a bold face lie! They had 1 very low end scotch, vodka, gin and rum included and some aperatifs included but that was it! No whiskey and no name brands of any kind. The pours were so short on whatever we ordered we decide to go buy real liquor across the street at a couple of small convenience stores (very cheap prices too) and make our own. The bartenders were also rather surly and couldnt make a decent drink...even the ones on the list! Our shower drain drained so slowly that the entire bathroom floor flooded during every shower! We contacted the desk 3 days in a row to have them fix it and it only got worse each day. We had to get 4 extra towels every day just to create a dam to keep the water level at bay in the rest of the room...and they were completely soaked each time! They talked like they were a sustainable hotel but not if they can't keep the drains running!

Exceptional
A wonderful hotel in a great location with very friendly staff.
A little higher price compared to comparable hotels in the area. But it is true that the choice of food and entertainment program is the best at Agapi.
