Stay was ok but nothing stood out for us to come back.

Nothing stood out. The Motel needs TLC. It is outdated - warn out. Room very small. No wardrobe adequate size. Owner does his best to keep it clean. Outdoor area with chairs and table was unexpected feature - comfortable to have an afternoon drink/ coffee/ tea before dinner. The staff very pleasant and kind.

Nothing was too good or too bad. Just average for a motel. Swimming pool was very small. Room small.

Very good

Nice size room and bathroom. Only stated three nights but was great. Central location and walking distance to Wests Club. Quiet area.

Decent value for money..

It is at a walking distance from the coast and some of the restaurants. The room was spacious and was generally clean.

The TV was outdated (some old Kogan model) that had inadequate app memory. Every few minutes Netflix or Youtube would stop responding so could not watch anything while in room after day out. The staff was responsive though and came to help as soon as we reported the problem. He suggested a technical workaround that would help for sometime but had to be repeated. Secondly, the basins both in the bathroom and the main room had to be plugged all the time otherwise cockroaches would come out. We saw couple of them pop out in bathroom and then we kept both holes plugged mostly.

We were at a reunion in Newcastle and the Motor Inn was ideally placed for accommodation. Staff were charming and helpful. I also enjoyed the coffee on departure. The staff kindly placed our room dear the lift as there was no disabled room available for me.

Very enjoyable stay in a place we had never been before. Would come back!

The room was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Very large room and comfortable bed. Large TV and streaming service available. The room had a microwave and outdoor bbq facilities.

Carparking was in the open and not undercover.

Great location for a couple nights stay

Great location, easy short walk to the shops and beach. We were able to wash our beach towels for $5 which was good. The motel was clean and we could use the pool as well, which was quite nice

There were so many rules and warnings everywhere, with threats of fines, if you pulled out the couch. Had to sign a waiver for the pool use, which had no pools games, which I thought was a little odd

Very good and pleasing accommodation

So clean. Everything just worked, and obviously had been thought about, and considered (like the multi plug extension cord for charging multiple devices). A very respectful, well run accommodation.

Comfortable and good value.

Room was spacious and quiet. It was serviced well each day and supplies replenished. Staff were very friendly and competent.

TV was complicated and all functions didn't work.

Pleasant

The property was well maintained and clean and it was obvious the owners took pride in the property. It was modest but pleasant, nice pot plants.

The property was advertised as having "Facilities for disabled guests" however, it was not of a suitable standard. The shower had a lip and there was not enough room for manoeuvring the wheelchair.

Lovely, family friendly motel in a great location.

Great quiet motel located close to both Nelson Bay and Shoal Bay. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The room was a little dated but nice and clean, with housekeeping also attending daily. Television in both rooms, air conditioning was perfect and a large range of amenities for our stay was very much appreciated. The pool was lovely. We will definitely stay again!
