Location: 5mn walk from Hanzomon subway station. However, if you take the train “JR” it will be pretty far…!
Cost: extra fee than my previous booking at APA Roppongi Six!
Staff: they were doing their job!
Room: the same size and design as all APAs hotel I have been “in and out of Tokyo”
During my whole stay each night I was bitten by insect/ moustique so I believe they should look into it!
The previous day before my check-in I received an email that if I don’t reply to their email nor checking at X time they will cancel my booking. I found it a bit harsh to send this type of email knowing that I booked for 4 nights and via booking with policy…. “I would have understand if it was for one night and no fee apply if I don’t turn up…!
It seems that they didn’t even take the typhoon situation into consideration and / or unseen circumstances.
As eventually, if they email me “ as you may be already aware Japan is experiencing bad weather and if your transport to reach your destination has been cancelled due to typhoon please do let us know at the earliest convenience so that we will work things out for you…”
I understand that under terms and conditions by cancelling my booking they will make a profit and give my room to a new guest! But why would you send this type of email when people does book a room for 4 nights , it is obvious that I am not a scammer!
Finally, 80% of my stay / visits in Japan I have used APA’s hôtel so honestly on the last 5 days before leaving Japan, the email did stress me out!

Great hotel in a great location, only about 7 minute from the closest subway station. The staff was very kind and hospitable, they knew a fair amount of English. The room was a little dusty but I figured the room had not been used in some time. I requested a corner room on a high floor and they accepted my request. I liked how each room had it's own Wi-Fi connection. The room is quite small but manageable if traveling alone with small luggage. If I know anyone that is looking to stay in the area, I would recommend this hotel.

Nice breakfast
I booked 2 rooms with 2 adults each room plus breakfast but when I checked in I was shocked that the system only captured 3, after much argument, the hotel decided to give the breakfast coupon for 4. Payment were made, I am doubting booking.com platform or the hotel system, but there is no Avenue to communicate with booking.com. I began to worry about my next stay at Hotel Mushiniya at Hakone which is half board, they quickly gave me an assurance it is 4 persons with breakfast & dinner.

Shampoo and toiletries products were good. Good WiFi. Useful fridge.
Room was too small. Air con didn’t work. Room was baking hot and staff did not help.

It was clean and the location was near a good underground station
The room was really small, we couldn’t have stayed more than one night as there is nowhere to unpack. We couldn’t use the air-con for cold as the adjourning room was using it for warm, so it was incredibly hot in our room (not good for a heavily pregnant women), and we asked if reception could book us a taxi to our next location but they told us they charge 500yen just to book it so we decided to walk! Really disappointing experience.

Location
very small rooms, not enough space if you have luggages. not so clean
not what we expected compare to what we pay!

Very quiet at night despite its central location.
Some bars and restaurants nearby and a family mart.
Tokyo metro nearby (not JR line though) and JR Station Yotsuya (Chuo and Sobu lines that are connected to JR Yamanote line) at 13 minutes (relatively fast walker, with no luggage).
Clean.
Practical room with all necessary equipment (hairdryer, mini-fridge, kettle, towels, soap...).
We were on the 14th floor, so we had an OK view on the city.
Very small room, not easy to move around with big luggage.
We couldn't open the window to get fresh air into the room (14th floor...).
The staff had trouble understanding English so it is difficult to request help from them.
JR Station not too far but not too close either (with big luggage, we had to take a metro line rather than JR to avoid a long walk).

Location was great. Easy to reach areas of Tokyo. Quiet at night, and a needed retreat from busyness and noise
7.0
The room worked for the short time we were there (two nights), standard for Japan. The reception was great for when we needed different pillows and was helpful in getting us any requests that we needed.
the layout of the room was a little tight and the carpet style seemed a little dirty, not sure if it's the fabric that it tends to pick up a lot of lent. We also did not think much about the breakfast - didn't seem to have enough variety.
