Lovely hostel

Lovely hostel in a good location. Rooms are very basic but do the job. Washing machines are available which is useful. Lovely bar area for socialising.

Late check in at 4pm was annoying as we arrived at 3pm as per normal check in times. Two buildings so may get wet if it’s raining getting across

快適な旅をサポートしてくれた。

価格はリーズナブルで浴室や居室、ベッドなど清潔で心地良い，タオルやお茶など自由に使える。ラウンジは24時間自分のペースで使える。スタッフはとても対応が良く安心感がある。

朝方4時半にチェックインの宿泊者や部屋のドア前のスペースで１時間くらい荷物を広げている人、香水がキツイ人等がいた(海外の宿泊客)その人の価値観や常識だが、ドミトリーの場合は多少の我慢は必要。

まあまあ！

施設自体はおしゃれで、立地からしてリーズナブルに泊まれてよかったです！

部屋の埃が気になりました。布団と床の隙間部分や、換気扇に埃がたくさんついていたりなど、、朝起きるとハウスダストでしんどかったです。

tolle lage, schöne Zimmer

hostel fertig waren. Man kann viel zu Fuß erreichen. Schöne Zimmer und ein schöner Gemeinschafts Bereich.

leider hat die Airconditioning nicht gut funktioniert, man kann die Fenster nicht öffnen, daher war es etwas heiß im Zimmer

Ottimo posto, consigliatissimo!

Pulito, comodo, moderno ma soprattutto con pochi posti letto per stanza rispetto ad un capsule hotel, quindi più tranquillo! Ci tornerei!

Perfect hostel. Will return and recommend.

Literally everything. Clean. Location. Comfortable beds. Quiet. Good AC. Hot shower. Luggage storage. Staff. Blackout curtains. The construction of the bunk beds being independent of one another meant not disturbing your bunk mate when you roll over middle of the night. Everything was great.

The motion light was a small annoyance to your roommate for midnight bathroom trips. But an understood annoyance.

Awesome! Will definitely book this stay again when I visit Kyoto in the future

Location is very good, walkable to most of the places. Great facilities, comfortable room, super clean toilets and bathrooms.

外国人しかいなく外国人みたい。

立地が良かった！おしゃれな作り。二段ベットの階段が登りやすくてストレスなかった。

部屋に入るとほとんどWIFIが繋がらなくて困った。日本人の男性スタッフの態度が非常に悪かった。キッチンを使ってる時にゴミ箱を替えに来ていたが、目が合うと挨拶どころか、睨みつけられた。挙げ句の果てにため息をつき、ゴミ箱をわざと凄い音を立てて叩きつけるように締めてびっくりしたし怖かった。ゲストと目が合って挨拶も笑顔もせめて会釈すらできないホテルスタッフははじめてだった。一瞬にしてせっかくの楽しい気持ちが台無しになった。学生のバイトだと思うが教育を徹底して欲しい。どんな時もゲストに見られてる事を忘れない様に。それに比べて外国人の男性スタッフはいつも笑顔で対応してくれ素敵だった。アメニティがPOLAでテンションが下がった。ホテルの雰囲気とあまりにも合わない。経費問題もあると思うが、せめて無地のボトルに入れ替えたらどうだろう。冷蔵庫がキッチンにしか無いのが非常に不便。反対側の館にも置いて欲しい。以上を改善すれば良いホテルだと思う。

booked the double room w/ private bathroom which was clean and quiet, walking distance to the nishiki market, allowed early check in, near various restaurants, provide baggage storage on day of check out, gym for a fee, less than 10 minute drive to train station, nice common areas

Excellent location in the middle of Kyoto within a short stroll to transport options. A great base to explore from. The room was small but functional. The ensuite facilities were great - very clean and lots of water pressure. The main building's top floor roof was fun but did lack any sort of view due to the surrounding wooden walls. We didn't use any of the communal facilities but free coffee was available and it certainly looked spacious, clean and new. They have some storage facilities if you want to check out and leave your luggage for the day - all with locks.

The lack of view from the rooftop space was a little sad.

10/10 Would recommend. Modern rooms with super comfortable beds!

Fabulous accommodation! The bed was super comfortable. Loved the setup of our double room, so practically laid out and cosy. It has lovely common areas, especially the kitchen which is huge and fully equipped with a coffee station as well. The locker room allows you to conveniently store and lock your luggage (you can set your own combination lock) before and after check-out time. This hostel is really great value for money and the staff are very friendly so I would happily stay here again!

Still amazing, with just a few points to improve.

Super clean, amazing facilities and still quite lovely place to go to. It was my second time there, and I still love every single bit of it.

The double rooms can be and feel a bit dark. However, they are clean and super comfortable. Only one issue I had was with the fact that there were a lot of Chinese tourists there who kept on making insane amounts of noise at night. However, there was nobody to complain to. They also took over the common kitchen and didn't clean it at all. I hope that the hotel personnel can look into this in the future and be clearer about the rules.

Great location, great facilities, great price. Great.

Well located, well priced, clean and modern with great facilities. We stayed in the “hotel” part, there is another building across the street housing the “hostel” part. Guests can use both areas. The downstairs lounge was a great place to relax or eat in with a green wall for a touch of nature - very Japanese. The Hostel kitchen had all the mod cons and cookware that you’d need. The staff tips were excellent.

The roof terrace was great, we had dinner up there, but the BBQ and taps were not operational. It would be a great place to cook and eat and enjoy a piece of sky. The bar looked cool but was only open Friday & Saturday nights but there were plenty of other bars in the area.

Highly highly recommend. Can’t rave enough about this place

- EVERYTHING - We got a private room and it was perfect - Shampoo/Conditioner was super quality, and my hair would know lol - Strong pressure showers - Perfect functional spacing. Might be small but they were so smart with the design, you don’t feel it - Beds were super comfy some type of memory foam on the pillow top - Black out curtains were awesome! - Roof top adorable patio with tons of seating - Adorably decorated common areas - Free coffee - GREAT kitchen - Great location - Storage lockers for your bags, super easy to use and super secure - Cheap/clean laundry

Great place to meet people and chill

Clean rooms and bathrooms. Amazing common areas with a great vibe. The kitchen looks like a Master Chef set, it's absolutely amazing.

Great place to explore Kyoto.

The hostel in general was amazing,the facilities and the crew were very nice with foreigners.

The only issue we found out was that the room was a little smelly.

Lovely place to stay with great facilities and a good location. Not a very social hostel in our experience - people kept

Great location for markets, calligraphy course, specialist shops. Very clean and tidy. Good rooms, Japanese-sized. Helpful and friendly staff in main building - organised taxis for us, provided good information. Big kitchen with free coffee/grinding/brewing equipment, numerous cooking appliances, fridges and storage space for your food. Big lounge in annex building, also bar and lounge in main building. Fantastic luggage storage facilities for the day of departure, with lockers and coded/lockable bag-chains.

Was overall a really good stay, but could improve with someone to monitor the availability of crockery and cutlery in the annex kitchen. Big kitchen, with (for example) only 2 spoons for coffee making, people’s meals, etc. The system of getting a basket for storage of your food was unclear. The dark, low-lighting, mellow mood of the annex was pleasant and calming, but not at all conducive to interactions and socialising with other travellers.

trendy basic hotel / nice hostel in downtown kyoto

great location in downtown Kyoto. cool communal spaces and filter coffee making station.

room cleaning is only done for stays of 7 nights or more which seems extreme given the number of double rooms with private bathrooms (hotel style). we also didn’t have a fitted sheet on the mattress, only a flat sheet which kept sliding down and exposing the mattress which was a bit unhygienic and annoying
