Located in South Stradbroke, this charming house for $330 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Beached at Straddie is a private waterfront property located on the island retreat of Couran Point, South Stradbroke Island, which is one of the world's few naturally occurring sand islands. The beach house is only 15 minutes by water from the Northern end of the Gold Coast. It is not accessible by car. The island has quiet sandy beaches, both surfing and calm, picturesque palm trees and beautiful national park bushland which is a haven for wallabies, such as the unique golden wallaby which is not found anywhere else in South East Queensland. The beach house has 3 large bedrooms, main with ensuite and walk in robe, plus a kids retreat or possible 4th bedroom. Bedding consists of 1 king size bed, 2 queen beds, 1 double , and a double fold out sofa bed (in the kids retreat). There is plenty of room, and an additional foam mattress can be supplied if required. We also have a portable cot and cot mattress for use if required. All linen is provided and there is a fully equipped laundry. Living and dining areas are large and open plan with high cathedral ceilings, tastefully furnished and equipped with smart TV, and music player (with iphone dock). Please note there is no internet at the property at this stage. The kids retreat is set up with a smart TV and is closed off from the main living area. It also doubles as the 4th bedroom with a comfortable double sofa bed. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances- dishwasher, microwave, gas cooktop, electric oven and large fridge. There are no shopping facilities at all on the island, and all grocery items must be brought with you to the island. A huge, covered, outdoor deck leads off the living areas and is where you will no doubt spend most of your time! It is equipped with a BBQ and outdoor furniture, and has beautiful views across your own private, sandy beach and pontoon, to the water. Property Inclusions and facilities:- Your stay at the beach house includes use of: - private pontoon - bikes provided -1 double and 1 single kayak provided - private, sandy beach for swimming - cd/stereo with ipod dock - linen and towels are supplied, with the exception of beach towels The magnificent surf beach is popular for swimming, surfing, fishing & dune sledding and is a 2km stroll along sandy beach tracks and also accessible by bike. Fantastic four day stay. Perfect for our fishing mad family. Great for older kids who can ride bikes/walk to resort pool and cafe and spectacular surf beach or Kayak around the canals. House had everything we needed to cook up our catch of the day. Plenty of room. Comfy beds. Bikes & kyacks enjoyed by all.

If you want to relax - this place is a must. The house is very spacious and clean. Everything you need has been provided - sharp knives, toaster, dishwasher, large washing machine, enough towels for everybody as well as plates, cutlery and working bikes for everybody. This property had everything we needed. From coffee pods to prams for little ones. The locations is superb, the host was extrememly responsive to all requests. The property was packed full of kitchen utensils, cooking pots and pans galore, toasty warm fire place, canoes, and really comfy beds. Thanks for a great weekend, next time we will stay a week!

An amazing place, so much room for a big family, was very comfortable and tidy and clean, beds are great, couches are cosy. lots to do for the kids, and great fishing! We had a great stay here, and will definitely come back again.

We all really loved this house, location and thoughtful amenities and extras! Perfect for our extended family of 6 adults and 3 children. Clean, tidy, beautifully furnished and lots of extra to make us all comfortable. Great fire too for Saturday night, and a perfect spot to all watch the sun rise on Sunday morning! Great amenities with lots of room for our family of 10 aging from 3+. Kayaks, life jackets & bikes supplied which we had great fun using & gave us access to the gorgeous beach. We were able to fish off the landing which again made it very easy for the children. Children also so excited to see the wallabies & other wildlife. Easy access to Couran Cove Resort & their ammenities added to the fun as well. It was everything we hoped it would be

We had a wonderful stay, kayaking, biking and fishing. The home was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. Wallabies and galahs. They even had coffee pods! The kids had a blast. I’d recommend self catering or bbqs on the verandas though as the resort was overpriced, runs out early and a bit of a hike at night via the pathways if you don’t have a boat. Lovely accommodation though.
