Loved the house and the luxury of being able to spread out. Being practically in the bush made our stay instantly relaxing. A short walk to Cookies Beach for a swim and the proximity to Bateman’s Bay and the beaches in Murramurang National Park made this the perfect stay.

If you are after a beautiful house amongst the birds, trees and pristine coastlines; this is your place. Bruce is a really helpful host. House is lovely, plenty of space to come together or spend some alone-time apart. Cant wait to go back.

We booked the house for ourselves and another couple but our friends visiting from the UK tested positive for covid so were unable to come. The house would be ok for 3 couples so long as they were prepared to sleep in king single beds. Our main feeling was that the house is set among beautiful big trees which is gorgeous but always in shade. Perhaps a plus in summer…There is no sense of the ocean even though it’s not far away and n the other hand there is a lack of privacy as the next door houses on both sides are close and overlook the living areas.

Great place, clean, quiet and well appointed. Lovely host too. Had everything it said it would. Definitely going to come back, and I will bring my family next time; it's perfect for a family group. Doesn't have Wifi and reception is limited, just so you know. Amazing find.

Nice layout for a group with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable, contemporary furniture. Quiet area with lots of greenery and decks. Excellent range of dvds and reading matter. A lovely stay. Nicest we've stayed in in South Durras even though others have been good.

We loved the house but arrived to full rubbish bins and didnt know it was bin night so didn’t put bins out. Had to sort rubbish and take recycling home. We put bins out before we left. Would have been good to have arrival on bin night flagged by owners. previous renters or cleaner could also have put out.

Sth Durras is a great location for families, especially for good, clean and safe beaches for younger swimmers. The accommodation is in a bushy setting, spacious and better than described on the website. Well appointed and very comfortable especially for families wanting to spread out in a large, bright and breezy house.

Great house! Common/living areas are spacious with plenty of room for large groups. We had 5 adults and 2 children and didn't once feel like we were on top of each other even when we had visitors. Great location, get the secluded bush retreat feel but only a short stroll away from the beach.

Bruce's house is in a lovely bush setting. It was very clean, comfortable and suited our family well. Short (5 mins) walk to quite beach was good for the kids.
