We will be back. Let’s hope the weather is nicer

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Weather was awful so it was too far away from the town to walk, which meant taxi or drive. Dinner in the hotel was fine but breakfast was fab. Great variety catered for vegetarian. We will be back

Superb

Breakfast was amazing. Room was convenient as I’d asked for interconnecting rooms which the staff accommodated Location was ideal for our stay.

We only stayed one night with interconnecting rooms so it wasn’t so much of a problem but did mention that the toilet wasn’t working properly in one of the rooms.

Very good

Room was comfortable and clean. Restaurant was ok, basic menu and there weren't enough staff for the amount of people they had to deal with.

We paid for breakfast but we weren't put on the list. When we asked for our table we were told we weren't on the list. It was embarrassing being told to go to reception to get tokens and bring them back to the restaurant. On the second day our door key didn't work and I had to return to reception to get it coded again.

Good but needs a tiny bit of improvement as I have said

Everything was to the upmost standard staff helped me out when I forgot my toothpaste

There should have been more complimentary toiletries in the bathroom and the TV echoed really badly to unwatchable maybe access to settings to use the sleep timer would have been a good idea

The shower tray is very slippery and I almost slipped as did my friend after I had given them a warning. could be very dangerous for an older person. I advised the receptionist about it and she said she would pass it on. 2 of the bulbs were gone but again we advised receptionist at checkout. overall very pleasant stay. was a little cold in the room… possibly due to high energy costs. staff very accommodating.

Rocky start but was salvaged by a kind, considerate staff member.

The rooms were very clean and bed comfortable. The breakfast was standard. The coffee was good. The household manager was extremely helpful and very nice. She proved excellent customer service (this was not true of all staff).

The main downside was the receptionist. We travelled with 3 separate families and all families found him to be rude and unhelpful. It felt as if he was doing me a favour booking me in. He also told me any request I had made through booking.com would not be met. I had also made a request ( the same request ) via the reservations team at the hotel, however he said that was not noted on my booking. To be honest it set us up to a bad start to the trip and was upsetting. We are a family of four and our rooms were very far apart which was going to be very impractical. Luckily a lovely manager, named Catherine I think, was just passing (I feel she may have been leaving for the day) and she asked were we okay. She sorted out rooms next to each other which changed our visit/experience and without this it would have been a very unpleasant visit. She also was around checking in on people the following day and just overall vastly improved the customer experience. It does not take a whole lot to make a effort to make someone's stay (which they are paying a lot for these days) pleasant and a nice experience. The front of house in this hotel probably needs some customer service training.

very basic hotel, fine if you pay for that standard, but this was definitely overpriced and just not worth the money.
