Home away from home in a beautiful space

The apartment was great, nice and clean, perfect for couples

Found it difficult to find the reception to check in, there are no signs anywhere to direct u to where u need to go, we drove around in circles trying to find where we needed to go and only found it by chance as there is no signage anywhere and if there is it didnt stand out like most places

Short stay experience tarnished by surprise discovery

Comfortable bed, ample parking, good water pressure from shower, free movies on demand.

Bad sound-proofing when there are other guests outside your room in the hallway talking. The wind blows in sand and flower petals even with the door closed. We found a pair of white Tommy Hilfiger men's underwear left by previous guests in our wardrobe when attempting to retrieve the spare pillow. Needless to say, we did not use the pillow but it also made us question how thoroughly was the cleaning process carried out.

Beautiful stay with plenty of food and beverages at your doorstep

Loved being able to work from the accomodation to the winery, brewery and other food and beverage venues. The outlook from the balcony on to the grass and river is great. The interior is beautiful.

Superb

Comfy stay. The accommodation was really nice and cosy and in beautiful surrounds. Great there is a couple of dining options and that you can get there and just stay on the property

Disappointing for the price

We had the disabled room and the door had a massive gap and could hear everyone doing everything. It did spoil sleep a lot. For the price a little disappointed as no where did it say we had a disabled room. The shower wet the entire floor when had a shower.

The shower but I understand that someone in a Wheelchair it would be fine. Noise as door is incorrectly fitted.

Lovely short stay setting

Great breakfast and service (Adeline served us and provided excellent customer service). Modern and clean. Comfortable bed. Free parking. Quiet Location. Lovely setting. Complimentary water bottles. Easy access to the room. Prompt room service.

Showerhead was too high. Would have liked a handheld shower option. Had to ask for face washers, but the housekeeping service was prompt to bring us some. The reception desk did not answer calls on several occasions. Room service meal options were limited.

Relaxing getaway

Location was good with lovely river view and balcony.

Pillows high and hard although bed was comfortable. Commercial aircraft noise during the night was unexpected and intrusive. Menu at dinner very limited - would have welcomed some fresh vegetable and lighter options and all our meals too heavily salted. Staff not overly friendly. In spite of negatives, enjoyed our stay.

Facilities were good, probably short staffed.

Not a lot. Restaurant staff however were very good especially a young lady called Alyssa.

Constant overnight noise from aircraft taking off from Perth Airport. Beds were far too hard.

A beautiful place to stay when overworked and want to chill.

It was so lovely walking into a room that smelt so good. It would be nice if there was a broom, dust pan and hand broom in room, so I could sweep twice daily like I do at home. We work ridiculously long hours and we didn't want cleaners coming through everyday while we just wanted to sleep in and chill, so we opted out of daily cleaning. I know everyone is different I'm just a clean freak...lol and we didn't want to be disturbed. Thank you for the lovely complimentary bottle of wine for my birthday, what a beautiful touch and very appreciated. This is about the 4th time we have stayed and won't be the last. Thank you

We thought the restaurant night menu could have been better and a bit more choice. Maybe every couple of days, for people staying longer, have a few different choices. I only eat chicken and there were limited chicken dishes and it would have been nice to have a normal salad of lettuce, cucumber, tomato, fetta and a dressing. Also the cleaners trollies are sooo noisy, so mabe rubber tyres or something that would make them less noisy. I'm not complaining, just constructive criticism. I also think guests should be told to show consideration to others, when getting up early or back to their rooms late and not be so noisy. I know you have no control of people's behaviours so maybe make a point of telling customers when they book in. We always enjoy our stay apart from those couple of things which can happen anywhere. Superb

Room was comfortable and the balcony was awesome. Parking available directly in front of the apartment.

As my room was on the second level, there was a common door which was shared by my room and a neighbouring room. The door slams hard when being closed and it can be extremely noisy when it is being used to enter / exit the rooms at the second level.

The room was dirty the floor had not been cleaned in months and was black.

Clean the rooms the floor was black and made my daughters wedding dress and our feet black.staff in the brewhouse for breakfast rude and demanding. The lady behind the counter on check out was just nasty and rude

ok - the staff and wild swan restaurant were the best bits - not a good choice for a restful stay

the check in staff were lovely. we loved our dinner at wild swan and the movie streaming options

the beds were hard, pillow hard and the noise of people going up and down the stairwell next to room 6 was very loud and throughout the night and morning (not just talking but the noise of footsteps on the stairs was really loud) - so was not possible to get a good sleep. The noise from inside to out isn’t good so I wouldn’t stay for a restful time! deluxe Room is just like small hotel room but with lovely bathroom and outdoor setting

The complex was not big, easy to move around without the crowds.

Overall, a good day of vacation except for the shower.

Good location in Swan Valley. Easy to travel around the area

The shower had very weak water pressure. Also, very hard to control the water temperature since when we were moving it a little, it either became hot or cold, not in between.

Christmas treat

Friendly helpful staff. Complimentary wine, Pod coffee machine, French windows straight onto patio and mini Zen garden. Beautiful Location near vineyard and river. Privacy and cleanliness of facility. Bed big and comfortable. Air-conditioning (it was a hot day). Breakfast at the Mandoon restaurant was superb 👌

everything was stunning

the only complaint I would have is being startled at 9:30 at night by the fire alarm- I also heard from another guest this happened last time they stayed there. fortunately it wasn’t an emergency but it killed the relaxing vibe of the first night

staff need to be a bit more courteous when going into the store room as the trolleys are very noisey when trying to slee

it has that little bit of country feel

our room needed a couch or a couple of comfy chairs to sit on other than sitting on the bed or going outside as it was cold

The stay was relaxing and full of delicious food and wine.

The food at the brewery was amazing and exceeded our expectations. The employees were very helpful. We will definitely be back.

Nice to come to if travelling or to book a wedding.

A beautiful location. It is more of a wedding venue destination rather than a weekend staycay with hubby which is what we booked for.

The bathroom had hair on the tiles and streaks around some of the floor tiles & a mirror, the door leading out to the balcony was broken.

My Colony review. August 2022

I stay at this wonderful place every time I travel to Perth. It's a wonderful place to wake up too on the Swan River. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The whole winery and the atmosphere were fantastic and the rooms at the Colony were tastefully decorated and modern. Easy access at a 2am check in.. Breakfast at the beautiful restaurant is a must. Fire place, great staff.. Amazing coffee . Make sure you take the time to wander the wonderful grounds.. Play area for the kiddies is fantastic also. I would recommend that everyone start their trip to Perth , just to wake up in this wonderful place. 😊

The bugs I'm the room. Spray was provided for the outside area. I spoke to the reception in the morning and I believe they will follow through with checking what can be done. There has been alot of rain and water is still laying in the lower areas of the property. NATURE....😏

Booking here was stressful and expensive

The location is beautiful and it was convenient to access Sandalford Winery.

Check-in time is not accommodating for guests attending an afternoon wedding. Paying extra to arrival 1 hour earlier was a shock, making the stay very expensive. Communication needs attention (emails and staff) The room smelt unusual, like trying to cover up a bad smell.
