HorizonBeachHotel, een plek om naar terug te keren!

Zeer vriendelijk personeel, goede service en altijd een lach op het gezicht. Zij vormen een team en dat voel je. Pure phyloxenia! Daarnaast zeer goede hygiëne, zowel de kamers als de rest van het complex, alsmede zwembaden. Klein koelkastje op de kamer om een flesje water koel te houden. Zeer kindvriendelijk! Onze kinderen hebben het heerlijk gehad en personeel is ook heel vriendelijk naar kinderen. Bij het complex is één speeltuintje met een (baby)schommeltje en een klein klimtoestel. Het is niet veel, wel leuk voor de allerkleinsten. We hebben genoten van het eten, elke dag vers en zeer uitgebreid. Ook genoeg gezonde keuzes te maken. Ligging van het hotel is ideaal. Stalida op loopafstand, leuk wandelingetje! Chersonissos 10minuten met de bus (bushalte 5 minuutjes van het hotel) Naar Heriklion vliegveld een half uurtje voor €3,50 p.p. Bus rijdt ieder half uur en later op de dag ieder uur. Tijden hangen in het hotel. Taxi naar vliegveld €50. GetyourGuide app gebruikt voor uitstapjes op Kreta.Top! Voor ons was dit de eerste keer all inclusive en daar had ik zo mijn twijfels over, maar wat een heerlijkheid om zo aan te kunnen schuiven en de kinderen die zelf hun dingetjes regelen. Wel eet je (natuurlijk) meer dan nodig, dus bewust opscheppen, zodat je niets hoeft weg te gooien. Ook de kinderen! Voor ons is HorizonBeachHotel een plek om zeker nog eens terug te komen. Een aanrader!

Wat ik jammer vond, is dat in de zwembadbar /restaurant nog gebruik wordt gemaakt van wegwerpbekers en -borden. Zowel plastic als karton. Wel kun je ervoor kiezen om dit gebruik minimaal te houden door te eten in het restaurant boven en je bekertje van de bar te hergebruiken. En het zwembadwater is in mei nog koud. Dat is iets om in het achterhoofd te houden. We hebben zeker veel gezwommen, maar dat was even wennen elke keer. Je koelt er lekker van af! Oh ja! De matrassen op de bedden. Stevig, maar je voelt wel de spiralen. Dit was een nachtje wennen. Ik hoorde van een andere hotelgaste dat je een matrastopper kon krijgen bij de receptie. Wij vonden dat niet nodig, zij was er heel blij mee. Kan dus opgelost worden.

Area was great however I would recommend not going all inclusive and spending money else where

The area was lovely not a far walk from the beach and strip, the room was comfy and had a great view of the sea.

Although there was a great variety of food it was very much repetitive and somewhat bland half of the time. The only problem we had with the room was finding ants on the floor each time we got back from being out.

Exceptional

Stayed at a superior family room for 4 days and it was a great experience. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day and towels were changed daily. The food was very good with a wide variety, suitable for all tastes. There was a snack bar open almost all day with food, ice cream, biscuits and cakes. Coffee and beverages were also available till late at night. The all inclusive package does include alcohol and some cocktails which were great. The pools were big and very clean and the water park was enjoyable for all ages.

The friendly staff and cleanliness.

The food needs a big improvement, we ate out of the hotel for our meals. The rooms were very basic, no insulation so lots of noise. the shower had a small curtain and flooded the entire bathroom when you had a shower.

Good

The areal is nice. The look from the room and the restaurant/bar is great. The rooms are not very pretty but functional. The personal at the reception and the restaurant is very courteous.

The cleaning service of the room was not very clean. The way to the sand beach is about 600 meters and not accessibility. The meal in the restaurant is not typical native.

Overall we had very pleasant stay,we would return !

The rooms were being cleaned every day , the food was good and diverse and the staff was nice and friendly.

sometimes was very busy at the breakfast and it was hard to find a table . We were a group of seven , two families and we were told can’t join two tables to have dinner together.

A nice hotel with a very welcoming staff

very friendly staff, nice water park

food selection, especially for Kosher people. the all-inclusive is not that great, could have better snacks (Ice cream, fruits) and drinks beach - there are rocks everywhere and a small ramp that allows jumping into the water, but no place to relax on the beach (neither chairs or beds) Gym - very minimal, not working well.

Superb

We arrived at the hotel and the attitude from the first moment was always with a smile whether it's at the reception popi, nicoleta, vasili they responded to every request and did everything to make us satisfied and also when we went on a trip they gave us a drink and crackers to go. The rooms are nice, we got one with a sea view. The food is delicious, teeo's service is very patient and always with a smile. We had a round trip shuttle to the airport which is an advantage. We got free wifi. Their water park is nice with 3 types of slides for big and small, also a pool with small slides. Very nice and pleasant

Exceptional

We visited this hotel in group of big family The hotel has amazing sea view you can relax there have coffee and watch perfect cost. There is pool area for children with aquapark and main pool with coast view near main building. You can also choose one of the two quiet pools which are located in the middle of complex. The food is fresh, there is a big variety of food. Nice stuff, they take care of every guest. It is near to shops and restaurants area. I highly recomemnd this hotel to speed a nice holiday.

We had a good stay!

Just a 10 min walk to the town. Very helpful staff. Not too crowded so you don’t feel like a number. Children felt at home.

I really like the person who was working in office ( one of the most kind person I know) Food was nice and amazing location. I like that they provided transport from the aiport to the hotel...in general I liked the stay ..

I didn't like the cleaning service in the rooms as they wasn't cleaning properly and the rooms really need deep cleaning.. I don't like that this hotel doesn't have the sing in each rooms like ( clean or don't clean and do not entry)I think this need to be improved. As the staff was many times coming in without knocking to the door. I didn't like the all inclusive package as they was providing like really the basic and is a first 4 star hotel that cocktails wasn't included even if you wanted order a coctail then wasn't point because they was using the same cheep alcohol like they was providing to the all inclusive package so this' doesn't make any sense as in others hotel if you was ordering a good coctail was coming always with good brand bottle not the replacement... I don't like that I always feel bad to ask more then for 1 drink and we was a group of 5 adults so the staff I feel that they was afraid of the management and making stupid jokes regarding if you was taking more then 1 drink which is really really bad !! And same was about the food ... I don't like that they don't had i n the rooms kettle , selection of tea and coffe so I was suprise as it was says is 4 star not 2 or 3 ;) i don't want to say more but in my opinion the facilities mast be improve a lot.

views were amazing. get what you pay for

location was the best part of this hotel. guiannis and harrys are by far the best staff. quality and friendly. All the bar staff are kind and friendly. the views are amazing. Main man who deals with rooms (the first office at the front of hotel) is amazing so kind and friendly he has only just started working here but he does the best to keep customers happy.

with the managers you can definitely tell when they’re having a bad day. they aren’t the most friendly except when you first arrive. some of the hygiene can be improved for example plates and cutlery ( this is me being critical) i wouldn’t recommend asking the hotel for help when it comes to special occasions such as birthdays- simply because it is at a very large cost compared to other hotels.

Great staff, food and facilities, only one public beach (Stallida) nearby

Hotel staff were brilliant and friendly. Pools were clean, food was great. Water slides were all open and water park is good for all ages.

No daily room cleaning or towel replacement available, the hotel blamed Covid19. Hotel doesn't give guests free access to pool/beach towels. No forced mask wearing during Covid19 pandemic, no social distancing, I didn't like other guests standing 30cm from you breathing on you during Covid19 pandemic, while I was holding food and drinks. The swimming ocean dock needs maintenance. The water park pool only opened at 10:30am and closed at 6pm sharp. The gardens outside our balconies are overgrown. Quite a few ants kept coming into the room.
