We had an amazing stay at Madolly. The house has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Our kids and dogs enjoyed playing in the secure back yard and we loved waking to the beach each day. Madolly is walking distance to everything you need/want. Restaurants, cafe, parks, walks, beaches and more. We felt totally relaxed and at home. We will definitely be booking again.

We have stayed in this property once before and it was nice so we decided to come again. This was one of those rare occasions where the property has actually gotten better! The Reno’s to the bathrooms and better heating have improved the property a lot, and we can’t wait to come back again next year.

My wee dog loved the big yard and we appreciated it was fully enclosed. Loved our stay - some more chairs in lounge wouldn’t go amiss and mildly annoying taking own sheets and towels but other than that fantastic

The accommodation is walking distance to the beach, the local shops and restaurants. The owner was very easy to communicate with and gave clear instructions regarding check-in and check-out procedures. The property is very dog friendly. We brought our 2-year old cavoodle with us and he liked exploring the backyard.

Madolly is situated close to shops and Shoal Bay beach and is a true beach house. We have a pet so being pet friendly was a bonus and we also have a boat, so having a large lockable carport was appreciated. The Port Stephens area is a great place to holiday - many things to do!

Great spot for walks and trips to the beach. The property is well placed to walk to shoal bay beach for a swim. Or alternatively, if you like long walks then walk up to the peaks or along the track to Fingal bay and out over the spit at low tide. It was an added plus we could bring our dogs. The yard is fully enclosed and the it’s relaxing sitting on the back deck.

Madolly was a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. The property was clean, comfortable and well appointed… it truly has everything that you need. I suppose it would be a bonus to have linen and towels included, but it’s not a big deal having to bring them along. Madolly is in a great location, just off the main drag. I can really see the potential in hosting a large family because the outdoor area is brilliant!!! We absolutely loved our stay and will return in the future!

The photos of this properties back deck don’t do it justice, it’s massive, plenty of space outside and dog friendly, large fences and lots of privacy. Kitchen is very well stocked up with with a large array of cooking pans/utensils. Quick walk to the beach and shops, park the car and never take it out again! Excellent little house that’s perfect for a weekend getaway with pets. We will definitely be back!

This cottage was perfect for our stay with our 2 old dogs. Plenty of room in the yard & a huge covered deck. The hosts are excellent with questions & communication, & the house is in walking distance of everything you need. We can't wait to go back

Madolly Cottage is great value for money if you want a comfortable and clean getaway to include your fur babies. The property would sleep 7 easily, even though there was only the two of us. The drive thru garage has ample room for a boat or other big toys. The back deck area is great and the flat, grassy backyard is very comfortable for dogs AND people! It would be great for kids, too! It’s fully fenced and you wouldn’t have any concerns about the kids’ or dogs’ safety. It’s set a couple of streets back from the beach, but we drove to the dog beach mostly, Bagnalls Beach, which is a short drive north. Great to get away for a couple of days of ‘down time’. We are looking forward to staying there again.

Madolly is in a great location. Easy walk to the local shops and eateries and to the beach. Madolly had everything one would need for a holiday plus has a wonderful large outdoor area and garden. Missing Madolly and wished we could have stayed longer!

We loved our stay at Madolly, Shoal Bay. It's never easy finding a house for our family, including our beloved fur baby. Madolly has the most gorgeous sunny back yard, with a great grassed area where we enjoyed throwing a ball for our dog. We also loved that our dogs were welcome to come in doors with us, as they are used to sleeping outside our bedroom door. The house is a small beach shack, but the house has had some lovely renovations, all the beds are very comfortable and there is an extra new bathroom in the backyard for use with larger groups or more than 4. One of the best things is how close the house is located to Shoal Bay, we enjoyed the short walk to the bay and restaurants, as well as heading on the walk to Fingal Bay. Thanks to Steve and Jackie for opening their house and sharing it with us :D
