Perfect location right next to River Safari for our Manatee swim and airboat rides.
Loved the interior woodwork.
TV only gets streamed channels...no live sports.
Heavy rainstorm on the plastic skylights was really loud.

The location was excellent, the place itself was very homey feeling. Loved Van and Halen! The staff were very friendly and informative. The kitchen was stocked well and had almost everything we needed to cook a home cooked meal.
The bathroom lighting was poor and borderline dangerous, especially at night. The toaster oven in the kitchen smoked immediately after turning it on. Cooking oil could have been helpful but not a deal breaker. The couches were incredibly uncomfortable and the pull out was broken and had missing springs,

River Safari has always been helpful and accomandating, we did have a problem at first with some policy changes, but it was worked out, the maintenence man on site was very helpful with using tools to fix my trailer lights.
Bed mattresses could be replaced, problem at first with launch and dock policy.

We chose this place to get out of town and unwind. It was great for that. McRae's on the wharf was a great afternoon with a good bartender and good food. We loved it.
The internet is really slow and not suitable for any internet activity. Everything else was great.

They allowed us to be able use their dock to park our boat and even leave it between our stays, and helpful with information about the area. Third year there and will be back!
Need a second bathroom.

We LOVED the tree house! Beautiful views from huge sliders and windows all around, great wrap around deck with plenty of outside seating, big open floor design and the fun quirkiness of the tree house. It was very very cool, clean and comfortable. We loved the way it is decorated. Great location, quiet and off the beaten path. We will most definitely be staying here again.
We understand and appreciate the fact that this was probably at some point a fishing/hunting camp. You can tell by the layout, the rough old wood and paneling throughout.
What would be a 100% improvement would be a new taller/higher toilet with an oval seat. The one currently in there is low to the ground and has a round seat. Felt like a kids potty!
And a new shower/shower head. The shower head and water pressure is really lacking.
Also a super simple fix...the frig was rocking each time is was opened or closed. Someone just needs to fix the feet so the refrigerator is level and balanced.
A couple tweaks and this would be awesome!

Very nice, comfortable, quiet, but the deck is not safe for little kids. The spaces between the wood are wide and easily drop a child up to 2 years old. We don't use the outside area, unfortunately.

Very spacious, ultra clean, comfy beds, and very well equipped! We had a lovely time! It felt like being at home… would definitely return!
