Excellent location, clean and neat with all the necessities and then some. Only downside was small third sleeping space which was still doable. Resort staff very friendly. Owner easy to communicate with. Would stay here again.

Max was so helpful and responsive👍. Beautiful & peaceful property, right on the beach, 2nd floor. Looks like they did a fresh remodel w new furniture in living and dining room. Pool was clean, and staff was friendly and helpful. There was sargassum on all Playa beaches, but once you swam past 15 yards, the water cleared, and if you swim to the sandbar...the turquoise and clarity were amazing to play in! Condo was clean, and everything was as expected. The property also had unexpected free social events over Spring Break...live music, exercise/yoga, salsa lessons, cooking class; none of which were advanced, just an easy mixer to meet other guests.

This is a fantastic place to stay! The condo is really well laid out. We had lots of room for my husband and I and our three older teens. The kitchen is well set up for cooking, and the beds and living space are very comfortable. The owner responds promptly and is very helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Nice condo. Perfect for family, friends or an extended stay. Great communication from the property owner which made the check-in process easy. Owner offered great suggestions about restaurants and activities in the area. If you don’t feel like cooking, you can purchase an all-inclusive package from the resort. The resort staff is friendly and helpful. You can’t beat this location on the beach! I would stay here again!

Very nice condo. The description is accurate. The complex has a nice pool and beach access. The little restaurant at the pool was great for lunch.

The resort was the perfect size... big enough to have terrific amenities, small enough that the private beach/pool was never crowded. Resort staff was very helpful. The property was roomy with beautiful views from 2 balconies.

The proximity to the beach and pool was wonderful with little ones. Enjoyed the roomy condo on our family vacation. AC stopped twice but was quickly fixed. Everything we needed was provided in the condo. Thank you Max!

This condo unit was on a wonderful beach and a good walking location to Playa Del Carmen fifth Street. The condo project was very nice the employees were wonderful! The unit itself was OK, The third bedroom had no windows so it was a little odd. The unit was not very clean we had to wash anything we used in the kitchen and the bed sheets and pillows need to refinish. But for us it worked just fine because we’re not in the unit except to sleep typically. Enjoyed the location And the condo project most definitely!

We were a family of 3 adults and 2 children. We really enjoyed the beachfront location of this property and the gorgeous views. While the resort itself is dated, the condo has recently been updated and can use a little more updating. Overall we loved the experience. Communication was great with the owner when we had some minor issues. They were quickly resolved. Would highly recommend this listing.

We stayed for Spring Break and had the best time. The resort had so many fun activities to do as a family, kayaking, beach volleyball and water aerobics (yes water aerobics) Shout out to Alejandro!! The location was perfect, nestled off the main rd right on the beach. We were able to walk to Starbucks and the shops every day with ease. This was close enough to fifth ave without being right in the hustle of it. The unit was spacious and had everything we needed for our 7 guests (4 adults and 3 kids). We will 100% be back again!!

I met my husband 32 years ago in Cancun and we've come to Playa del Carmen three times since then. We brought our 2 daughters (13 & 8) with us and my brother and his wife decided to join us too. We were blessed to stay in Max & Laurie's three bedroom condo. Our view overlooked the pool & beach from both the bedroom & living room decks. With 3 full bathrooms it allowed both couples and our girls to have their own bathrooms. Just prior to arrival Max emailed us a list of places to eat, grocery shop, taxi services and sites to see & do. We have stayed at Fishermen's before but not Max & Laurie's condo. We will certainly request Max Stark's condo on our next visits and recommend their condo highly. The staff are extremely helpful and kind. We had (Dominos) pizza delivered one evening for the girls while the 4 adults ate dinner at the restaurant on the property (excellent steak). There are activity directors putting together beach & pool volleyball games, kayak tours, sailing trips and Yoga for anyone interested. The close proximity to town allowed us to walk most evenings for dinner to different locations. If you or anyone you know are planning a trip to Play del Carmen look up Max Stark. My wife and I stayed in this luxury condo at Fishermens Village for the week of March 2-9. The occasion was our wedding anniversary so it needed to be special. And it was! We loved every minute of it and hated to leave! When shopping for the condo, we found so many options, in the area, but were not convinced that they were truly honest about their distance from the beach or that they were still as new as their photos. So when we saw the video of this condo, taken by drone and showing it's exact location, we contacted the owners who assured us that the photos were taken recently, following a complete renovation. So we had no doubts about booking it although, for the two of us, it was more expensive than we could have found, but it proved to be well worth it. It's right on the beach, so we went down just one flight of stairs and were virtually on the beach where there are plenty of sun-loungers, umbrellas and fresh beach towels, every day. The sea was gorgeous, clear and with just some seaweed that wasn't an issue, despite some comments we had seen on-line. Walking the seemingly endless beach of white sand was such a pleasure in each direction. We ate at the restaurants on the beach and inside the hotel and enjoyed great food at low prices. The breakfast/brunch was particularly good and generous! And the Spa/Gym was small and little used, like a private club, with a sauna, steam room and massage etc. There's a lot packed into this small condo-hotel that we really hadn't appreciated before experiencing it. The condo felt new and very spacious, with comfortable furniture and beds and was equipped with everything we needed. It has a bright colour scheme, always reminding us that we were on the Mexican Caribbean! We spent a lot of time on the balconies, that were private and spacious, away from the centre of the hotel, yet with beautiful ocean views. Next time, we'll be back with the family! I live in Rhode Island and it was extreemly cold here so it was great to be in low 80 degree temperatures. Rain, when in comes, tended to be short sprinkles. I had it twice in 2 weeks. The breakfast buffet is great and a bargain. The lobby bar has great wine choices. You can walk the beach for hours. I got a tan without sitting directly in the sun. Walk into town via the beach. The town still has some Mexican magic. Fisherman's staff are all gracious and helpful. I would come again in a heartbeat.

The Condo we rented from Max was big enough for our Children and Grandchildren to stay with us in Beautiful Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. We had warm weather, excellent food and friendly helpful staff. We plan to vacation here again next year. Thanks so much, Sheila

Playa Del Carmen is amazing. And Fishermen's village is the perfect resort in Playa. I discovered Playa last year and had such a great time, I came back! Both times I've stayed in the exact same room at Fishermen's - it's great. Just north of Fishermen's village is downtown where all the restaurants, shops, street performers and bars are - well within walking distance (either by road or beach!). Fishermen's Village has all the benefits of the larger 'all inclusive' resorts without the huge crowds. I never had any issues getting beach chairs, tables at the restaurant, space in the hot tubs or time with the kayaks or sail boat. The room is clean and luxurious with an amazing ocean view from the sizable balcony. There are three bedrooms total. The master bedroom has one huge bed, there is one very small bedroom with a queen size bed (I think). You'd only sleep in there. It's too small for anything else. Then the third bedroom is huge with two beds in it. The couch is also quite comfy and can easily sleep two. The water in the shower isn't super hot all the time, but warm at least. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful though some have broken English and it takes a little work to communicate. The food in the restaurant is excellent. In short, I've had two great vacations at Fishermen's Village and highly recommend it!

This is one beautiful place. Right on the beach. Great big hot tub and very nice pools. The staff work very hard to make you happy, keeping the sand as clean as weather permits. Extremely helpful front desk people and waiters. Everything very clean and modern appearing. The condo itself is quite nice also with 3 bds and 3 full baths and pretty good pool and ocean views from 2 balconies. Soooo much to do in that area. Shopping, snorkeling trips, fishing trips, parasailing, scuba diving, and fantastic restaurants within walking distance. We usually walked into town to eat dinner and do some shopping/wondering and then took a cab back to the resort. Taxi's were very inexpensive. We plan on returning.!!!

We had a great time. Close to many of the adventures and activities that Cancun has to offer. Unit was very clean and well maintained.

Dear Max, I would like to thank you again for a wonderful vacation at your beautiful property in Playa del Carmen. I warmly recommend your property and we are already anticipation our next visit and bringing more family. I prepared a longer review (3 pages in Word) to describe the experience, only a third of it will fit, please forward to anyone interested. Our arrival was in mid-August and we stayed for 11 days. As we entered the gated community of Playacar we knew we were in a very unique place. The transfer shuttle took about 45 minutes from the Cancun International Airport to reach the entry in Playacar. We passed the security barrier and found ourselves driving through a meandering paved street, which exhibits lush vegetation and luxurious villas on all sides. We were surprised to even see an enclosed protected park with Mayan ruins on the way. We walked on this street many days with much pleasure going to the Centro, taking pictures around the ruins, admiring the beauty of the villas with competing styles and laugh at the occasional tsereche -- the local protected wild pet -- crossing the street. Upon arrival we were received with warm welcomes by the resort staff and all have been very helpful to us throughout the stay. All are very friendly. The resort is as described-- small, very private, very inviting, and very safe. The pool setting is beautiful and overlooking the ocean, and it is not crowded. They have lounge chairs, couches and beds on the beach with umbrellas, frankly more than needed, so plenty to choose from. The condo is located a few steps away, same building, one floor up. The condo is very roomy and there are many ways in which a family can divide the space, a flexibility that many will find very attractive. Very friendly to families with children and if extra bed is needed there seems to be a pull-out couch, but we did not use it. The balconies provide a blended view of the resort, palm trees, pool and the beach while being out of direct sun light which I liked very much. The bedrooms were clean, beds well made and trust me this is the first and most important aspect that my wife looks at when we arrive in a new place. The closets were well provisioned with additional clean sheets and towels. The bathrooms were clean, marble floor and sinks. For one shower I needed to learn to wait a bit to get the hot water. The kitchen is adequately equipped, but to be fair we did not plan to cook that much during our stay.
