Excellent Resort

The resort welcomes you with a smile from check-in and throughout your stay. The rooms are well-maintained and spacious. The staff of Garraya is the differentiator; tough, it feels like everyone makes an effort to know you and cater to your needs. The gym is very well equipped and the resort makes for a good self driven wellness retreat.

The spa was good but could have been better, especially for the price.

La chambre standard ne vaut pas un 5 étoiles. La plage n’est pas chaleureuse sable peu agréable pour la Thaïlande et la piscine moyenne.

Lovely staff!! Rooms need to be made better

The hotel staff were amazing, really friendly, lovely and couldn’t do enough to help you! Really special people. Breakfast was also a highlight, lovely setting, great choice of tasty food and again friendly and helpful staff. Bathroom in the room was lovely and spacious. Arrival was lovely with a very warm welcome and welcome experience with drink etc.

The accommodation wasn’t 5star. Unfortunately you can see that the property is old and has been taken over. It needs some love and upkeep. Our room smelt damp and felt damp the whole time we were there. It was sticky all the time and the sheets on the bed were sticky feeling as they were damp. Just not comfortable stay. Didn’t really want to be in the room. The pool area also isn’t very impressive. It needs some maintenance to make it feel more luxury and appealing. There also wasn’t really a drinks service around the pool- which you would expect in an up market hotel. The beach is ok- nice view - but the sand is stoney and the waves are very big and noisy - so not relaxing and wouldn’t have been able to swim the days we were there - very windy bay. (I know the hotel can’t change this - but just want people to keep in mind, as it is fact) The food was very good, but not cheap! All in all - it was not a bad place at all- just very pricey for what it is and inconsistent 5star level. The rooms need to be better for sure.

Wir haben insgesamt 11 Nächte in dem wunderschönen Resort verbracht, 2 Nächte in der Poolvilla… Es war alles extrem sauber, die Betten waren super bequem, das Frühstück grandios! Die Anlage ist wunderschön in die Natur eingefügt. Die Mitarbeiter angefangen vom Gärtner bis zum Hotelmanager waren äusserst freundlich und zuvorkommend, es wurde quasi jeder Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Wenn wir wieder kommen dann auf jeden Fall dort!

One of the best hotels we stayed at

Loved everything. Incredibly good value for money. Very welcoming, friendly and professional staff, incredible facilities incl. 2 pools and a private beach, and large, comfortable rooms. Breakfast service and selection also excellent. Overall one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at.

A special resort in a special place.

The private beach was great. The restaurant food was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our private deck was wonderful.

It is built on a hillside and there are stairs to everything. The cement around the pool needs repair.

We had the best honeymoon at Garrya Tongsai Bay! Everything was amazing - the staff, breakfast, restaurants, cocktails, pool, beach, activities! We had the best time, and so look forward to returning in future.

Tout, tout , tout ! Merveilleux établissement avec un service au top . Sourire permanent , gentillesse sans égal , dans un cadre de rêve .

S’il faut trouver des choses moins bien , je dirais la piscine un peu moins au niveau du reste et qq plats du restaurant .

Herausragendes Hotel

Überaus freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Einem wird, egal was man benötigt sehr zuvorkommend, weitergeholfen. Wir haben uns unglaublich wohl gefühlt. Die Zimmer sind wirklich wunderschön und der Blick aufs Meer war einfach nur toll. Und das riesige Bett war ein Traum...selten so gut geschlafen. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls herausragend. Das Yogaangebot haben wir auch sehr gern in Anspruch genommen und waren begeistert.

Wir können kaum etwas negatives sagen. Nur das Abendessen war dem Preis nicht immer ganz angemessen. Für den Preis und einem 5 Sterne Hotel hätten die Speisen raffinierter sein können...aber das ist auch Geschmackssache.

Une perle cachée

La plage, la mer sont propres, pas de marais basse, service au top, les transats très confortables avec 2 serviettes tout douces et parfumées pour chacun, le PD irréprochable, chambre spacieuse, toujours quelques gâteaux sur la table et un fruit, pas de grande chose, mais très sympa, l'eau à volonté, hôtel est loin des sentiers de touristes, c'est très calme et apaisant

Le resto est trop cher pour y manger 1-2 fois par jour (et attention ! salade César "classique" est servie sans poulet), on était obligé de faire 1,5 km à pied jusqu'a un très bon resto pas cher dans le village. Les boissons sont hors de prix aussi. Dommage. Pourtant, le resto à la plage est très sympa et ça serait pratique d'y manger tout le temps

What a great honeymoon - a must-go in Samui.

What a gem! What a great resort! The staff, all of them, is super friendly. They make sure that you have the best time of your life. The breakfast included in our package is sensational. A wide variety of food, from different bread to fried rice, noodle soup, veggies, different styles of eggs, salads, etc. The beach is lovely and private, with no other guests than the resort guests.

The location is a bit off. Rent a motorbike for 200 Baht/day. That makes your life so much easier. Don't eat at the restaurants in the resort—average food and overpriced (rates like in Hawaii). Go to the numerous night markets for dinner or to one of the authentic Thai restaurants. Use Google to find a great spot. We had fantastic food around. Chaweng Night Market, Fishermens Village and many more. The walkways from the well-being chalets to the main house, where breakfast is served, are exhausting. You go first almost down to the beach before walking uphill again.

From the incredible private views of the bay from our pool villa, to the well appointed facilities, to the private beach and cove, to the buggies that transport you everywhere, to the excellent and friendly staff, we absolutely love Garrya Thongsai Bay and recommend to all visitors of Koh Samui! p.s. the 10 min hike, on property view point is a must! 😊🙏💯🇹🇭👍
