Breakfast was fine, nice room to eat in, many things to choose from on the breakfast buffet. Kind lady took care of breakfast.
As I'm working as a CSI it was a bit disconcerting to notice the blood stain pattern on the wall above my bed when I was leaving. Had I seen it before I went to bed, I would probably not stayed there. What have happened here? I reckon there were very old stains, but still. Why not do something about the walls? And throw away the horrible dry soaps in the bathroom.

Чудове розташування, наявність сніданку за 10 євро, безкоштовна парковка, готель з історією, для любителів історичних будинків.

The fresh air when we came out of the „hotel“.
Worst „hotel” experience, absolutely ridiculous. Do not ever waste your money!
First, the man (actually the owner) that checked us in had a very bad attitude. As we told him 480 EUR are too expensive for two nights given the room conditions and services, he just laughed and said it’s even cheap for Salzburg.
We asked to move in another room (after the offered one looked miserable), it wasn’t different.
Although we said we would like some information about the city, he suddenly left. We never saw him again, there was no front desk services.
The room was disgusting, not clean, sticky, very small. In our reservation were promised 25 m2 in reality about 12 m2. The floor was very dirty, had not been swept in a very long time! The walls were all over dirty too.
We were in second floor, olny with view to the roof though a window which wasn’t possible to close, was raining.
There was no mini fridge, no air conditioner, no safe.
Lots of gross, everywhere in the rundown building, windows and doors-colour were damaged .
The overall “hotel” was very dirty.
The room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, no garbage take out or clean bath towels.
We will not recommend this place unless this is a very last resort. I don’t even know how they got to license as a Hotel. Even if being an old building, there is no excuse for staff for poor hygiene of the rooms.
The place is horrendous, I’m surprised they even have a business with this horrible customer service.
We would like a refund.

The Haus Wartenberg was built nearly 400 hundred years ago, and it just has this amazing feeling of life in it. One can imagine people growing up in the rooms and/or living there most of their lives centuries ago. The old Austrian character of the construction and the furnishings is charming.
It a little difficult for taxi drivers to find the entrance to the Haus Wartenberg, but that's not really a big deal. They find it. Nothing else bas to say.

One of the most authentic hotel experiences I ever had. The room is like a museum with authentic furniture but a lot of comfort. Beautiful terrace.

An old historical family house. Lot of antique furniture and beautiful old things. Room is quite small.
Poor ventilation (we were on hotter days). And there is no private parking, only municipal on the street which is limited by three hours during the day

The bed was very comfortable and the location was good.
The hotel staff was nowhere to be seen, during the afternoon / evening, we didn't get any assistance whatsoever. Very noisy in the morning and the breakfast was too expensive.

The building atmosfere, makes you thing you are a time traveler… but with modern facilities.
All was nice, maybe a bit noisy outside, but not disturbing during the night.

Big room with old wooden furnishings. Nice, quiet neighbourhood just a 15 minute walk to the Altstadt through an impressive passageway right through the hill.
Some reviews commented on the religious works on the walls but it was no big deal. How many churches do people go in to just to look at the art?
Shower was a bit small.

Location
The rooms are not sound proof. The lock of the door did not give you the feeling of the safety. In the midnight some man mixed-up my room to toilet since my room was next to the toilet and violently tried to open the door. I was scared of it but it seemed to me that the door could be easily break down. I guess the which I stayed was a storage room...

Good location in a quiet area. Not far from the old town. Taxi rank near by if needed. Quirky hotel. We enjoyed our cosy family room.

Breakfast was very tasty. Hotel staff were very friendly.
The room was beautiful, with plenty of space, and lots of character.
Location was good too, just a short walk from the city centre
I can't think of anything I would have differently

It's location is good. I appreciate the staff here they were helpful
Lot of improvement is needed in the facility most importantly when you enter the property it looks very dull. Also the property need maintenance furniture in the room was not in good condition. Chair was loose bathroom door lock was also not good. There should be atleast glass and kettle but it wasn't there.

Location is superb, 10-15 min by foot to the old city with all main tourist attractions. It's very authentic place in a quiet neighbourhood, the atmosphere is something special, definitely a unique place. The staff is kind and polite, feels like a family-owned hotel with a long history.
The room could be a bit cleaner, but in general it was ok. Unfortunately, you can hear everything what's going on around you even with a closed door, so, in my opinion, a bad choice for families with infants. Noises can irritate the child, and your child screaming at night can be a headache for neighbours. I've noticed that the Wi-fi turns off after 23.

Good location in Riendenburg next to Altstadt, historical old austrian haus. Seems they host (private?) dance evenings.
Poorly maintained and really small rooms. Dirty oldmattress and a glass door in my room.
Beware, shared bathroom. I didn’t see any staff in the evening (9pm) or in the morning (7:30am) so i let the city tax fees on their desk.

There is no shiny furniture here, but there is nice, clean and much more positives. Most importantly, there are helpful people with an open heart who create this amazing place.

Very friendly and helpful host family. This property has been in the family for at least 3 generations so it feels much more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. We all loved the antique aesthetic of the place, but yet modern, comfortable beds and showers. Our whole family enjoyed the breakfast and made to order coffee. Would take my family here again at the first opportunity.

The location is good. The beds are comfortable. The staff was friendly.
The property was run down.

The family room was very cosy, warm and clean and the beds were comfortable.
The shared areas of the hotel weren’t very welcoming and felt more like a religious order than a hotel.
