Fantastic garden, beautiful location, great beach! Exceptionally comfortable bed in the beach front room (not as much in the premiere beach access bungalows, but also not bad). Very helpful staff. Overall very clean. The Beach Front rooms are a dream come true. Nice breakfast, but always the same.

There is some need for renovation, but nothing too serious: the tennis court was out of service, some lanterns in the garden gotta be fixed. The weakest part now is probably the restaurant: it neither lives up to some old reviews where it was supposed to be one of the best in the area, nor tastes good. Most of the dishes are merely ok, and getting a warmed up frozen sandwich from 7-eleven when you order a 120THB “grilled ham and cheese sandwich” is very sad. the staff tries their best to be welcoming and caring though.

Schöne Anlage, geräumiges Zimmer. Wunderbarer Sonnenuntergang!

Klimaanlage sehr laut, uns war es an diesem Strand zu ruhig! Abends schließt alles um 21 Uhr und man fühlt sich doch sehr verlassen. Allerdings ist das für viele vielleicht auch genau richtig ☺️

Exceptional

Lovely place to stay on Koh Samui - away from the mass-tourism of Chaweng and Lamai. No other place on Lipa Noi beach can really beat their beachfront rooms. Overall, friendly and service-minded staff, well-equipped rooms, good room-service, good breakfast, and beautiful pool and views. It was hard not to love this place. We only tried the restaurant a few times and thought it was OK, but there are some good alternative restaurants in the vicinity, such as Mom's Kitchen.

Whatever niggles we experienced were quickly resolved and are not worth mentioning. The internet could be faster, I suppose, particularly in the beach front rooms.

Relaxing, friendly and chilled beach paradise!

We are a family with three teenagers and wanted 10 days somewhere that we could all relax and enjoy our holiday. The infinity pool was spotless and perfect, the sea was shallow and easy to wade straight from the villa or pool. The kids also enjoyed using the gym, tennis court and table tennis too. As well as the WiFi! The book swap was an added bonus! Our family bungalow had two huge bedrooms with plenty of space for the extra bed. AC worked effectively and we had two bathrooms. Sue and the resort staff were exceptional and always so friendly, often going above and beyond their duties, to help us and ensure we had a wonderful stay :) The food in the restaurant offered a good breakfast selection which included Thai and European choices. The lunch and dinner was great and we tried A LOT of different dishes on the menu and our kids loved their Thai cooking course with the owner and chef, Mr McDang! We were able to organise all the trips we wanted to do, through the staff and valued their local knowledge!

We loved every minute at Lipa Lodge, but this is a chilled out, beautiful beach resort and not a party place.

Magical pool

The location is unbeatable. Even the endless view of the ocean in the pool is magical. The room is very big. Our room had a sea view. We liked the panel on the terrace against the wind. We recommend a massage on the beach. Since we went on a trip before breakfast, they prepared sandwiches for us, which we thought was very nice.

The level of english at the reception is really low. It's hard to say, but the staff is incompetent. It's friendly though, but they can't organise a thing. In the surrounding area, you can get a cheaper scooter than the one offered at the hotel.

Pleasant stay as before. The closing of Nicky Lauder's hotel .makes the area seem quieter now.

gently sloping beach which I've enjoyed many times. At this time I was stung twice by jellies which I hadn't met before but no worse than stinging nettles. Breakfast very adequate and we enjoyed dinner there too The accommodationduring our stay.

The accommodation was not in the row of bungalows at beach level we stayed in before, but on the first floor of the restaurant admin block. I might have missed something when I booked!

Staff were lovely. Resort was very relaxing. Food was yummy. Beach front room views were amazing, especially the sunsets. Hiring a scooter from resort was very easy.

Pool was too hot (no shade) and sea was dirty. Language was a little difficult. Not really any restaurants/shops within walking distance, especially with kids.

lovely room, staff were so kind and friendly. such a peaceful place to stay. Lovely sunset view, and the sound of waves. It was like paradise. Food was also a decent price and tasty considering it’s quite a remote resort.

Perfect location, lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble. great room that was a beachfront room. Infinity pool was great for relaxing. Breakfast was great and authentic to the area with plenty of choice. Omelettes cooked to order by fab guy and also wontons and chicken fried rice.

Very nice resort on westside of Samui

This was one of the best resorts in Thailand we been in! So silent, super nice staff, bungalow exelent, perfect ac, perfect cleaning, good breakfast! The sea was very clean and nice. Superclean refreshing pool. This side of Samui is much better for us who seak a relaxing silent vacation. We will sure be back!

Traditional Thai get away

it felt like I was actually in Thailand unlike bigger properties I have stayed in whilst in Thailand, the staff were so kind and welcoming. I was so impressed with the size bungalow and how spotlessly clean it was also breakfast had lots of options and was delicious, the rooms also all come with Netflix and YouTube built in and the Wi-Fi was excellent I would stay again!

Nice for a couple of nights

Beach front room really is beach front! Comfy, large bed. Good, hot shower. Breakfast ok, coffee not so good (cool, not hot)

Wi-Fi is very poor, only one user at a time 😩 There could be ladders/stairs to beach in front of every room! No other restaurants nearby. You’ll need a motorbike/car to see places, to go to grocery store.

Nice resort in a quiet area

This is a nice resort located in a quiet and rather authentic area. As I really wanted to relax after a bad stay in a noisy hotel, I chose a Beach Front Room to ensure I would have a beautiful view over the ocean, and I was not disappointed. The room was large, comfortable, clean, and well equipped, with large french doors. I realized once at the hotel that the other accommodation types are nicely set in a pretty garden and probably have an enjoyable view as well. The staff was very responsive to my messages, and kindly let me check in early, which I truly appreciated. I had a drink and dinner at the restaurant in the evening, which was good although maybe a bit expensive considering servings were not big. Breakfast was a buffet with a choice of fresh fruits, cereals, bread, (good) pancakes, eggs, etc. The Chef was preparing the hot dishes next to the buffet, and made good recommendations about what to try. We can feel that the resort was hurt by the consequences of the Covid pandemic, but I had the feeling that efforts were being done to get back to normal. My only regret is that I could stay only one night!

The taxi from the resort to Nathon Pier was charged 400 bahts, which is quite expensive considering the drive was only 10 minutes (5 kms). As a comparison, taxis from Lamai to Nathon were 500 bahts (20 kms). It did not bother me, but the tennis court is not in an usable condition.

beautiful tranquil location. serene, quiet and quaint. staff so very helpful and warm

The service was amazing as the staff and owner and family are all personally involved in ensuring that guests are happy. although a distance from the airport, the beach is just beautiful and tranquil and very much away from the maddening crowds. the beach villas directly overlook the water and the beach feels totally private.

it’s about a 45 min drive from the airport. the tennis courts, gym etc will need to be fixed and maintained and the owners plan to do this as they are now just starting to receive guests after being closed for 2 years due to Covid.

I guess it is always about expectations. This was the first stop during my Samui holiday. For the start I wanted something really quiet, right by the beach, with a possibility to eat in. This resort had it all. Stayed in the Beach-front room, literrally 6 meters from the room’s terrace door to the sea. Spacious room, excellent bed, 50Mb wifi and the only ‘noise’ I could hear were the sea waves. Staff very friendly, huge breakfast, I really enjoyed various Thai meals from the restaurant for dinner.

A bit ‘used’, would deserve some maintenance. Everything working, though, nothing broken. TV had only a couple of channels with bad reception, but I only turned it on once.

Clean hotel, great rooms but far from shops/bars/restaurants

The room was very clean and tidy, mattresses and pillows were really comfortable, shower was nice and powerful, great beachfront view of the sea.

In the beachfront room there was no access to the beach, we had to walk all the way around to get down to the beach. There should.have been a small sofa or armchair in the room. The beach wasn't clean. It was a 20 minute walk to the nearest 7/11.
