Location is good; there is a bus stop in front of the hotel and not too far from city center. Staff is very polite. View is beautiful.
This is a not very New hotel, some update on structure should be done (old and noise air conditiining, old big furniture, old bath tube, not many electrical outlets on the room and all far from the bed...). The Doors are locked with a key, no card. The restaurant was expensive and not very good (oil potatos, little options on breakfast & dinner that just lasted for 2 hours (19h-21h) very different compared to other hotels that we staied on our trip for The same price.)
Again, its not bad, but if you are used to modern hotels, you might be frustrated.

The staff were very friendly and great. Food was excellent. They serve a lot of seafood and fresh vegetables which we like.
I love the fact that we are away from the city center..the property is beach front and only 15 mins away from old town. Bus stop is in front of the Hotel

Lovely views and easy to walk around the cove. Not too far from the Old Town.
Unfortunately the hotel seemed very dated and in desperate need of refurbishment. I found mould on the wall behind the curtain.
I was disappointed with the facilities. There was no pool and the tiny beach area was very crowded.
The breakfast was quite good and dinner ok. After staying in two other places before this hotel it was a disappointing end to our holiday.

Stunning location right on the water.
Was close enough to go to the Old Town for a couple of hours easily
Buffet dinner in the main restaurant could have been a bit nicer but there is another outside restaurant down toward the beach which was lovely

Great value for the money, amazing location, wonderful dinners. We loved every moment of our stay.

The beach by the hotel was amazing. And the restaurants had great views, and the food was OK. The area had a nice path for a walk and the bus to the city was reliable.
The breakfast wasn't that great, not a lot to choose from. The interior in the room was very dated. Everything was fine, but nothing was great. There was no lift.

Good location near the beach, partways, bus station and shops. Friendly staff, very clean room with a extra king-size bed .And the bonus, the hotel let for us a bottle of prosseco , which was pleasantly surprising.
A lot of choices for breakfast.
The quality of ingredients use for breakfast maybe not the best. ( But maybe for us because we are very selective with our food)

We liked the location and proximity to the bus line. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the outside seating areas on the water for afternoon drinks. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend to others.
We were on the third floor and there was no elevator. If stairs are a problem, request a lower floor.

I didn't stay at the property because the hotel messaged me a few days earlier telling me I had been upgraded to Hotel Uvala. Can't say it was good, however not sure if Hotel Splendid would have been any better. Absolutely not a 4 star hotel and the restaurant (including breakfast) was pretty below standard for what you'd expect for a 4 star place. I wouldn't recommend it or stay there again.

Splendid weekend getaway in one splendid hotel 🙂! Location was excellent, hotel staff was very nice, polite, welcoming and helpful, 10 out of 10 for hotel staff. Food was also great, rooms comfortable and clean with fantastic view. Bus station to Old town right in front of hotel. We would definitely come back again!

Good breakfast, great coffee, perfect sized triple room. My husband and I stayed with my sister n law. We were happily surprised to see our triple room had a separate bedroom with a single bed. Also, 5 minutes away is a fancy $350/ night hotel. We stayed there after our night at Hotel Splendid for a tour. We all agreed if we were there on our own, we would have been very happy to stay at Hotel Splendid.
It’s not fancy and the bath towels are a little small and thin, but otherwise, this hotel is a great value and if we ever return to Dubrovnik, we would stay there.

Good location. I didn’t take the bus as Uber’s/Bolts are good value vs what the hotel quoted for a pick up from the airport. Bus routes seemed good and the stop was outside the hotel. Another reason for not taking buses is that I presumed local currency was needed and not card tap option. I definitely would have tried it if the Euro was in place.
Nice view from my balcony on the first floor. Decent beach outside the hotel - bring sea shoes. There’s also some nice beaches about 30 minute walk going along the opposite side of the hotel.
Room cleaning service was flexible and it was cleaned most days as long as it was before noon. Cleaning lady was lovely.
Reception were fine letting me check out at noon instead of 11am.
Asked for a double room and got 2 single beds pushed together. Our friends were also staying on the above floor but got a double bed.
I love a great shower stream but this way way too powerful. I ran a bath and was able to create a jacuzzi effect with the shower head. The shower holder broke on Day 1 but only on Day 8 when I was checking out did the maintenance person turn up. My advice is bring your own shower gel and shampoo/conditioner which we did given the star rating. The hair dryer reminded me of a goblin vacuum cleaner. An iron is available on request but no ironing board. There are no kettles but again available on request.
There’s a fridge and you’re encouraged to fill it which is cool as there are plenty of local shops/brand supermarkets to grab drinks.
The locks are old school. Takes a bit of getting used to when opening and closing as there is a double lock.
Enough has already been said about the breakfast quality so I wasn’t surprised. A croissant and breakfast tea was ok for me. There are good breakfast choices at reasonable prices vs dinner pricing around the area and I’d recommend doing that on some days.
All the staff were pleasant and I think they’re the best thing about this place. I booked quite late so didn’t get a competitive price. I’d say it’s on the pricier side given the quality but I think the view is probably the reason. You could opt to stay somewhere cheaper maybe without brekky but you’d spend the difference on eating something decent outside.
The city tax was more vs what booking.com quoted but nothing too major. I could have probably bought a pack of 8 beers based on the difference.

Beautiful views right on the Adriatic. We walked out and swam every morning. Close to shops and restaurants and easy access to the bus line to get to Olde Town.Enjoyed the breakfast and dinners that we included. Room was spacious and had a very large deck that we were on most of the time.
The liver that was served one night!

location was excellent as was the back area of the hotel.
the presentation of the main building out front seems a bit outdated, especially the blinds they have around the hotel. the food was a solid 4/10

Quiet location but quite a walk into Old Town . Good local bus service was very useful.
Only bedside light on one side of large bed!

The view from our sea view room was lovely, and the bed was very comfortable. We had an excellent night's sleep after a long travel day. The buffet look tired and not appealing, so we ate at the hotel's outdoor a la carte restaurant. Our freshly prepared meal and delightful sea view was a great finish to our day. Breakfast the next morning offered a nice variety and included an expresso/cappuccino machine, as well. Very nice!
No lift/elevator, so had to carry our rolling suitcases up to the 3rd floor, but it was not too bad. I think the lack of an elevator was reflected in the lower price, compared to some of the other hotel options.

Beautiful location for sunbathing and swimming. Helpful staff. Short taxi ride to old town.
Breakfast display can be improved.
Extra charge for sunbeds.

The hotel has nice common areas and location on the beach.
The room was tiny and the pictures were very misleading. The room also had ants every day in both the tiny bedroom and bathroom. The front desk staff was unfriendly and acted like it was a chore to answer questions from the start. They acted snobby.

Amazing view and beautiful gardens. The staff is great and really professional.

It was excellent as far accommodations and the hospitality of the front desk staff especially that of Ms. Romana. This is my third stay at this spectacular hotel and I am looking to return many more times.
The hotel in its entirety was very elegant and clean there is nothing that I could say that I did not like about this hotel.

Great location, everyone spoke English, and the breakfast buffet was amazing. There was also easy access to the beach which is a big plus.
No access to an ice machine and an iron. The a/c didn't work well.

View from our balcony was beautiful. The clear selling point of the hotel
Food was inedible. I'd booked to include Dinner and we had to go out each night to get food elsewhere. It was shocking.
at 8:30pm there wasn't any vegetables left and staff moaned that I'd like some.
Also absolutely ridiculous that there is no tap water allowed with Dinner!

The views were excellent.
A staff member was rude and some others were very reluctant to accommodate or help with anything.

Reception staff really friendly and helpful. Beautiful location and walking distance to local suburb of Dubrovnik. Great views over the sea from bedrooms
For a room that was over €100 a night, having to pay for parking was pretty poor form. Then having to pay for sunbeds in the hotel pretty poor form for a hotel in the price band.

The location was on the water and near other hotels so there was plenty of space to lounge.
You had to rent chairs despite staying at the hotel and the breakfast was not great and was not as pictured on the website.

Air conditioning in the room was excellent. Bed was very comfortable and room was cleaned daily. Location was very handy to Old Town as there is a bus stop outside. Staff were very helpful with any queries.
