2 night stay

Very clean room with comfortable beds, 5 minute walk to the town centre. Good strong wifi signal. Good food and drinks at The River pub.

Had a lovely stay in Margaret River

Great location close to town and not far from beaches and wineries. The room was great - having a separate lounge and bedroom was very nice.

The pillows were very large and a bit too plump - not very comfortable. Swimming pool had limited facilities - not many lounges or seating and no shade / umbrellas.

The location, easy access to town. Dinner at the restaurant on Sunday night was fine, good service.

Was overpriced and poorly equiped and very outdated, possibly not had an update in years

Good Location and Staff very pleasant.

Very out dated and old furniture, sofa very low and uncomfortable. Didn't know that the shower was over large old spa bath which although said it was clean, there were long dark airs in bath. Not suitable for someone who is elderly to try to get into shower. Room was very dim and gloomy feeling No where to sit outside of room

It was a pleasant stay on the whole.

Location was very good. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Credits to Sonia, 5-Stars for her good service. Bed is big and comfy.

We booked the Spa room/suite. Had only one aircon in the lounge area but not in the room itself. Can be stuffy in the Summer and cold in the Winter when sleeping. Probably better off to take a Room instead of the Suite. The bathroom has a timer light cum heater which would switch itself off and is not practical. On one of the nights, there was an event at The River restaurant and the carpark was chockas with cars belonging to residents and non-residents. Had to drive around in circles after returning from dinner to find a parking space which was annoying. Non-residents should not be parking there. Music from the restaurant can be loud. Make sure to request for rooms far away from the restaurant/pub. The Spa in the room looks beat up and could be upgraded. Not enticing to soak in it. The desk was very good to have but could be better if there was an electrical outlet by the table to plug in my laptop and phone charger.

Very clean, comfortable stay in beautiful margaret river

The spa room we had was far enough away from the bar and entertainment area that we we were not disturbed by late night noise

The chips I ordered from the bar were undercooked, and the hotel is a little bit of a walk out of town but not too bad, like 10 or 15min walk really which is doable if you want a drink in town and don't want to catch a cab.

Good

Great pub, and food in restaurant was excellent. The pub happily allowed us to take a couple of their glass bottles of water back to our room to use in the kettle (for some reason it tasted better than what came out of our bathroom tap).

There were no chairs provided to sit outside the smaller rooms. I felt a bit like I was in a prison cell (maybe not a great analogy, I just felt closed in).

this will be our 3rd stay at the river, the rooms aren’t very fashionable but they are so clean, you can smell the freshness as soon as you open the door

Exceptional

Great value for money. Clean rooms and close to main street. Easy check in and out and a 30 second walk to a pub/restaurant.

Decor is a little tired, but it's value for money.

Comfortable but in need of refreshment

Good location, good shower, comfortable bed.

Property ready for a refurbished. Bedroom walls need soundproofing as could hear everything that went on in both rooms either side of us.

Lovely place to stay.

The property was clean, relaxing and well looked after. The attached restaurant was and added bonus and the short walk into town made it a great place to stay.

a well-priced long weekend in a great location!

on site restaurant with a good selection of dishes. walking distance to town

pool and surrounding area needs some professional attention. uneven road surfaces and poor lighting resulted in a resident breaking her leg while we were there. the whole resort needs maintenance, very dated but clean. concrete pool had green algae growing in it. difficult to get in and out as no steps and hand rail. only 2 sun beds.

beautiful place for big families

everything was amazing, the spaces, the rooms the food from the pub, the staff at the restaurant. we managed to book different rooms and villa for the whole family. very convenient that even had their own room and space.

it’s was very close to everything and also hag facilities that are kid friendly such as the pool and the tennis courts

good place to sleep, nice pub at the front.

could try harder to be environmentally friendly, no small sachets/tubes. recycling bin should be provided. did not like shower in spa bath, very difficult to get in and out. water always on the floor after.

Superb

The staff were all pleasant and very helpful. The room was spacious and had every thing we could have needed for our stay. We thought it was a very reasonable price for the facilities and service we had. The resort is very conveniently located and we were able to walk easily to the shops bars and restaurants in Margaret River. All in all a really lovely stay we were very happy with our choice.

The only slight problem was at night there was a loud buzzing noise which on a couple of occasions made it hard to get off to sleep. Other than that no problems ata lol.

You get what you pay for

Location was good, having a pub onsite was very handy. Rooms were spacious.

The property is old and in desperate need of a redo. It needs new carpet and couches and the bath/shower was really difficult to get in and out of.
