the location. was great and the staff very helpful we only stayed 1 night catching the ferry to Sicily the next morning at 4am
internal room and a tiny bathroom no natural light and a lot of noise from downstairs
the rooms are above a busy cafe

The breakfast and the proximity to everything were good.
The hot water in the shower turned cold after a few minutes. It was loud until 3:30 in the morning, with the noise coming from yelling in the kitchen in the 2nd floor. Construction going on during the day.

1. The location is really central and good.
2. Breakfast was decent. Nothing special but decent enough.
3. It was fairly priced for what it offers.
This is not a place for people who want the full 5 stars hotel experience. It's a restaurant with some rooms upstairs and the rooms have no staff. If you need anything, you need to send a message through booking.com or speak to a waiter in the restaurant.
It was fine with me but you need to be aware of it.
1. The rooms lack "please do not disturb" signs to put on the door so the cleaning staff will wake you up all the time knocking on your door because they don't know if you want the room to be cleaned or not.
2. There were lots of flying ants in the bathroom. They were getting in from somewhere and the holes they get through should be closed.

location superb, comfy and spacious room

The staff was very professional and curious. My room was perfect for the price and location. I didn't expect much because it was a last-minute booking, literally while at the airport, but I'm glad I did. I would definitely consider staying there again.

All in all, I am happy with the hotel although I will not stay there again. Breakfast was eatable, the room was clean and spacious although it was noisy (chiming church bells/ delivery trucks at 5 am./ street noise)
The quality of food was very low. Seocondly, the windows should be double-glazed just to avoid the terrible noise from the strret (party goers and delivery trucks).

Stunning. Both aesthetically and location wise. friendly staff too.
they charged me even though I’d already paid booking.com and as yet no one has got back to me. so if I’d paid once the value for money was fab but I paid twice so….

Location. Great spot
I had to complain. Allocated very small room on the back stairs. Window on side street. They moved us to a front facing room. I slid the one arm chair to the window. Sat to admire the view and it collapsed, leaving me on the floor. On inspection it was missing a leg. The leg was missing , I hadn't broken , it was gone. The covering on the bottom of the chair was all ripped, obviously someone had removed it. I reported to staff, no joy , so I asked to speak to the manager. They were expecting him.
We left for coffee and returned an hour later.
Now the above upset me , I've stayed here many times and it was my 60th birthday and I had chosen to return.
I greeted the manager, who appeared to be unaware of my complaints. He asked why I greeted him with a smile, I responded I'm British and polite. He came to the room and I showed him the chair, I complained how much we had paid €150 and €75 and how disappointed I was. He removed the chair, replacing a leather, bucket style armchair with a plastic outdoor chair with a cushion on it. His response to my proce complaint was he'd paid €600 at the grand Hotel gozo and there was a leak.......why was that relevant???? He offered a bottle of wine , I declined , so he offered beer , that was declined too. No apology, terrible customer relations , Joseph the manager was rude .
We stayed because it was all paid for . We spent very little time in the room
It was upsetting and did spoil my birthday celebrations

traditional building with lovely rooms and great central location
as good as the location is, it’s very noisy, the property is right at the heart of things. The wonderful Cathedral is right next door and so are it’s bells, every 15 minutes they are rubs through the night. night life surrounds the hotel too.

The location is provably one of the best - right in the heart of Valletta
The bathrooms were small, there was no air there and the shower cabins were almost falling apart. One of our rooms has a vert small window down near the floor. It is very noisy because of the nearby cathedral, which is not hotel's fault of course. But if you stay there, mind the noise. The breakfats was very poor.

Cool hotel with a unique style of Malta! Beautiful details are everywhere. The cozy balcony where you can drink coffee or wine. The party atmosphere, a lot of cafes are everywhere. Сhoice of two types of breakfast: Continental and English.
It would be nice to add a couple of glasses for drinks

The position of the hotel is brilliant
We left at 8am and breakfast didn’t start till 9am so we missed out. An earlier breakfast service would be good

Great location, good breakfast. The staff is helpful.
I didn’t like the room in the inner ‘courtyard’.

To be honest the room wasn't that bad but there's a lot of things that needs to be touched to make the room more comfortable. It is a pity that this house has the best location in Valletta but there was no one to welcome me on arrival just a waiter from the downstairs restaurant helped me out and showed me the way to the room. If you need anything you have to call because there was no one at the reception. Minibar fridge (it is ok to be empty) not even connected to electricity so you can't put anything in it.

Accommodation is in the middle of the city, all th best places just there, amazing sunsets from the roof. Staff was very friendly and kind, the cleaning services is on point. Good breakfast, we even got package because of early departure, hotel staff helped with transportation.
We had room 42, which is rather small and in the bathroom there was always flooding, but it's kind of "Matla thing" anyways. A little louder, but for the price and the amazing location it's still amazing place to stay.

Central location, close to the sightseeing, historical buildings, restaurants, bars… clean room, good size and comfy bed, free wifi
A little Chaotic check-in, i gave info when we arrive, but reception was empty, staff from hotel restaurant knows that we arrived, but we was waiting over 15minutes, receptionist was bored, could find our reservation etc.

Delightful and highly individual hotel in a superb position at centre of Valletta. Very individual rooms, extremely clean with great views of the cathedral. It’s a perfect position for exploring the sites.
The staff can’t do enough for you - so friendly and helpful.

A room with a bathroom upstairs in an old, stylish building. Situated right in the centre of Valletta. That is why the sounds from the evening life of the city may be a hindrance to someone's stay (they did not disturb us). The location and type of building are rather for people who consciously choose to stay in such a place. For many, the facility and its location can offer an original, unforgettable experience.

Everything else, nice room good staff
The noise - it was difficult to sleep due to restaurant noise till around midnight and then the bells tolling all the time

The location. And the staff. All of them were great.
The staff are amazing. But the house and rooms are full of old things someone got from his Grandmother. Some things are extremely tasteless and some are weird. I dont understand art but whoever came up with the pictures on the walls had a really special taste. My son called the pictures child pornography. The rooms should be cleaner (the bathroom). The street is very noisy and windows are old that they cannot be closed properly. AC working like crazy but lot of energy is wasted to cool the room because heat is coming in anyway.
