Wonderful break away and will definitely be back to stay longer.

Everything about this property was fabulous. The grounds are stunning. The rooms are simple and tastefully furnished with fun art, think Slim Aarons done with barbie! And we loved the private courtyard with the lovely coloured walls. The staff were super friendly and accommodated our early arrival.

It is a shame the restaurant is closed and has been for some time, however I understand that is outside the hotels control. The bed was a little too firm for me but it didn’t impact our stay.

Peaceful ,friendly ,very pet friendly,clean ,spacious.

Travelling with pets and having to book into pet friendly accommodation is very difficult during peak seasons .This accommodation was spotless and extremely comfortable for us and our Labradoodle . We need a stop point to visit family in QLD.If anything, our dog misbehaved a little,he has developed anxiety when he can't see us due to husband now fully retired and is home all day ,so this anxiety is new to us travelling from Sydney to QLD .Thankfully, management were understanding and considerate to our dog's newfound separation anxiety. There were also bowls and a dog blanket for our dog .The resort had extremely friendly staff . Once we got back from buying our dinner, we all enjoyed the peaceful serenity of the resort.I also noticed other little things for example ,good quality shampoo and conditioner,soft towels,new and comfortable beds

Would have been good if restaurant was open to avoid having to go out to look for dinner as that area looked very inviting too.

A clean, comfortable place to stop overnight

The highlight of the stay was the service, the girl at the reception desk was outstanding. I felt as if we were in a 5 star resort.

Value for money and honest clean country / beachside motel. Very friendly staff.

An honest motel in a small country seaside town. Cute retro vibes. We need to support such establishments. BONUS for us that it was dog friendly - our pooch loved it.

Good but only if restaurant reopens

Rooms were large and comfortable. Spa was good.

We booked our stay do we could dine in the restaurant and not have to drive however the restaurant was closed down

Nice, clean and comfortable and easy walk into beach/breakwall area of Nambucca Heads.

We just wanted somewhere to stay overnight on our way from Qld to NSW. It suited our needs and the room was clean and bed was comfortable. The restaurant wasn't open when we stayed (I think due to renovations), but it was a short walk/drive to the RSL where we had dinner. In the morning we walked into the main beach area near the breakwall and had a nice breakfast. We saw that there was a gym and bikes for hire, but we didn't use these facilities.

We stayed in Room 25 and it shared a car park with room 24. Due to bushes on either side of these parks, it would have been very hard to get in and out if both cars were here. We sort of parked in the middle to enable us to get out of our car without scratching it and to get our stuff out.

the grounds were very pretty and the room very clean and spacious w the high ceiling and also had extras with Netflix and YouTube available able w tv channels also. instructions for air con made it so easy to not make a mistake. restaurant on the grounds very worth a visit also.

the cleanliness of the room and the facilities there, the friendliness and helpfulness of the receptionist, the location too. we have tried two different properties before this and did not like them. definitely third time lucky as we will come here every time from now.

It could have used some air freshener. The bathroom smelled a little musty.

We highly recommend Cubana... a fine no frills resort, well appointed without being too formal

Excellent staff and atmosphere. Pool, spa and steam room were terrific. Food and drink at Hemmingways were excellent.

A few more menu selections would have been appreciated and the mains, while too quality, were a bit expensive.

Great location, comfortable bed, great shower, plenty of water and good pressure.

For longer stay customers it would have been good to have had the floors swept or vacuumed once or twice during our 10 night stay and a tea towel would have been good for our teacups, glasses after use.

We will stay here again. Spacious, comfortable and lovely environment.

Loved the outside area by the lake.

The fridge was just a drinks fridge so had no freezer. We traveled with some basic supplies needing to freeze the cooler brick for the cool bag- the reception was happy to freeze this for us.

A lovely place to stay but a shame about the floors

The decor and facilities were fantastic

The floors were filthy and I don't think they were cleaned, our feet were covered in dirt/dust. Also no microwave

Exceptional

Everything! This place was absolutely perfect. I have a gorgeous little dog and it's so hard to find nice, clean pet friendly places with the standard of amenities Cubana have. The restaurant meals are absolutely delicious, the rooms are impeccably clean, inviting & quite large.... which was a surprise. My mum & I travel all over the world and this place really was amazing value for us and our furr babies! I live in Brisbane and my daughter lives in Sydney, I visit every few weeks, so this is definitely now my "half way"go to with my pup or even without him. BTW, I never write reviews!
