Location - close to the ferry terminal. Room was OK, bed was good. Overall very much worth the price.

Quiet environment. A bit older building, former head office of some industrial company. Thus had lots of public relaxing places (play area for kids with play kitchen, games; lounges; play room for older kids/adults; TVs etc etc). Outside spaces also nice. The building also has kitchen and laudry room for guests. I think this would be great for larger group of friends, or people working in the area during the week/for a project (longer stay kind of hotel), or for moderate conference etc. Not for romantic holiday or visiting the city. Complimentary evening snack was very nice suprise! Breakfast was ok, porrige, mysli, breads, yoghurt, veggies, boiled eggs, cold cuts, cheese, coffee tea (juice machine was broken).
I wouldn't call this place necessarily a hotel, maybe a hostel as it has rooms that share bathrooms, but offer lounges, kitchenette etc. As this is older place, bathrooms are just that (old showers, plastic flooring and a hint of moldy smell). Also some WC/showers are like on cheap cruise ships. No aircon. It was very bright to sleep as curtains are not good (thin and see through) and other window in my room didn't even have blinds. Linen smelled ok though and I didn't see stains.
Looking at the map, you'd think you can reach the sea, but no, all fenced out. There was no receptionist. They promised a baby bed but they forgot to tell me that guests have to get the bed from a closet themselves.

The best hotel in town (and the only one), very calm, easy check-in (the key was waiting for me at reception), comfortable room, fast wi-fi, quiet for sleeping, big breakfast, free sandwiches offered in the evening as well and coffee, tea, huge parking free of charge with heaters, near the sea...
All was OK

Only positive thing was that the ”hotel” located very close at the Umeå harbour.
Especially all the sanitary spaces were really dirty. Ex. I had to put the towel on floor at shower before I was brave enough to go there, because the floor was so dirty and scary.

Nice hotel. I especially liked the evening sandwich service which was included in the price. Good food after a long day of driving
window in my room was left open when I arrived, attracting insects.

Perfect place to stay if you just need somewhere to sleep that’s pet friendly while on a road trip.
No staff. Keys to room were left in an envelope at the front desk.

Travelled from Finland with ferry, location was perfect for us, it took 15 minutes to Umea city with own car.
There was not personal service at reception but the check-in was still taken care well.

Only some minutes to the ferry to Finland.
It is just practical.
I did not got the code for entry when arrived. Onother guest opened and my roomkey was one the desk of the closed reception.

Evening welcome snack was an outstanding surprise in our situation. Stylish retro atmosphere of the hotel really pleased us. There were quite some details in already not the best condition, but they didn't irritate and rather brought thoughts about sustainability - why to replace something still functional if it even fits into the style better then the brand-new modern replacement?
When we arrived it was a surprise that there's nobody on reception. It appeared that we didn't receive the message about our check in, but after a call everything was solved quickly

Nothing. It was the worst place I've ever stayed at in my whole life. I did not feel safe.
I don’t know where to start, so I’ll start with the beginning. As you drive up to the entrance you get the impression of a sinister, desolate place. There is really no other better word for it than “creepy”. Bang in the middle of an industrial area. Right outside the entrance there was a man laying on a bench, drinking alcohol and smoking and talking loudly on his phone. Once inside the huge, eerily quiet hotel, we realise there’s no staff: they left hours ago and our room keys are on an envelope by the reception table. This was creepy too, especially given the people that lurked inside (actual guests? Or just people who knew the code to the front door? It was unclear). As a woman I felt very unsafe, and had I been on my own I would have definitely left. The whole structure is outdated and looks like a fire hazard waiting to happen, which, given the complete absence of staff (not even one security person in the whole structure!) didn’t feel great. The restaurant is at the mercy of all guests—the breakfast food is displayed for anybody to interfere with, zero security, zero locks. Coming finally to the room: it was dirty in a way I’ve never seen a hotel room in my entire life. Spiderwebs, gunk in the shower, dust, toothpicks, hairs, grease (see photos attached). The air in the room also smelled incredibly bad, not sure if it was body odour or chemicals from the surrounding factories, but we soon realised we couldn’t keep the window open to air it out as our window happened to be just above a popular smoking spot just outside the main entrance (photo attached). The only reason why we didn’t leave was because it was evening and we had an 8 hour drive ahead, and of course the room fee was non-refundable. 10/10 would not go back, I’d rather sleep in my car.

Quiet.
Breakfast is good.
The hotel needs a restyling. Everything works, but is forty years old.

because of the ongoing current c19 situation i did not have breakfast and also wanted to get the 7hour drive under way
this is my second stay , i like the location open layout and just the general atmosphere
the beds this time round , not very comfortable , far too soft ,so this is the reason for the average score
my last stay in a different room had a much better bed and was rally cosy
