Convenient location, thin walls. Room stayed too hot all night, and Kids are loud in the morning at the school down the

very good view of the school, it was great being woken up by the kids screaming while playing four square at seven in the morning, and the delighted chatter of the tourists in the hallway who seemingly couldn’t figure out how to open the door, causing lots of noise for a while. It was close to the spa, and a strange little restaurant, which made it convenient to get to once you’ve soaked in the hot water for hours. Staff was pleasant, and beds were clean.

There was a little poop in the toilet when we got in the room, and it was very hot all night.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, in der sich ein Reisender willkommen fühlt!!! Herzlicher Empfang, großer geschmackvoller Aufenthaltsraum mit Blick auf den See, in dem sich der Gast bereitgestellten Tee und Kaffe nehmen durfte, was wir sehr geschätzt haben. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in ruhige Lage mit herrlichem Ausblick auf dem See.Die Betten waren bequem, die Zimmer gemütlich und gut ausgestattet, das Bad modern und gut. Es gibt die Möglichkeit zu frühstücken, was wir allerdings nicht genutzt haben. Die Lage in Fussnähe zum Thermalbad war ideal. Wir würden immer wieder hier übernachten!!! TOP EMPFEHLUNG!!

Would recommend and come back.

I really appreciated localization of the hotel and the nature surrounding the building. It is also close to gas station and shop. There is hot water and kitchen utensils available all the time and also you can buy breakfast if you want to. The room and bathroom were clean.

Walls are pretty thin so you can hear your neighbors and your roommate using the toilet ;)

Best location for the price, views and nearby facilities.

The staff friendly as always (2nd time here after 4 years). The room was cozy, clean and warm. The dinning area was well prepared and also a nice touch with tea,water and free coffee. Near the hotel we Foundation nice local restaurantsand harnice relaxing evening at Fontana Geotermal Spa. Later în tue night the aurora borealis could be spotted 10 min driving from the hotel.

Geweldige locatie, ontspanne sfeer.

Relaxte en rustige sfeer. Het was heel rustig toen wij er waren. We kregen een gratis kamer upgrade, dat was echt een hele mooie kamer! Leuk dat ze spelletjes en puzzels hebben voor vermaak. Mooi uitzicht op het meer. Ontbijt is prima en kost €15 per persoon en kids voor de helft. Er is gratis koffie en thee. En ook kun je gebruik maken van de magnetron. Op loopafstand een supermarktje/tankstation. Perfecte uitvalsbasis voor de golden cirkel.

Perfect location for the Ring Road sites - near Geyser

Lovely and simple and clean hostel with comfortable beds at reasonable price. Good breakfast and very convenient for evening meal at the end of a busy day visiting Golden Circle sites. Dinner was beautifully presented.

Could do with a chair or armchair in room and a dressing table as our room was sparsely furnished - but very clean.

My 3-night stay in this hotel was very nice and comfortable. Highly recommended to friends & family.

The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The food in the restaurant(Muninn, within the hotel) was very delicious and good value for money.

A good sized table/desk within the room (to put a notebook/tablet and other gear) would have made the room perfect for me.

Bedding was a strange cheese cloth. Felt strange, but slept well after the nice beers!

Excellent location with lake view

Staff at the reception and the restaurant were all very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable, except that the mattress was a too soft. Restaurant has lake view and a cozy, homely setting that makes a relaxing spot after a long day hiking. Delicious cod fish is a must-try at the hotel's restaurant.

Other than the triple room is a tad too cramp for 3 pax, everything was perfect!

Convenient location, but noisy

A hotel very close to highlights, such as Thingvellir national park (which was where we were headed). The staff is friendly and the restaurant next door serves food till 10 PM (most restaurants in the neighborhood close before that time. The place was clean and as advertised.

This was such a noisy place to stay. We're both sound sleepers, and both noticed just how noisy it was. The wall must be paper-thin. We heard staff clear out the diningroom, traffic, other guests walking around. Be sure to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

The Restaurant had an excellent Dinner. Highly recommend. The location was on the lake. Close drive to: Gullfoss Falls and Geysir and Þingvellir National Park

Very very nice place to stay!

Very friendly staff: they helped my family out a lot in a difficult sitation. WOW beds, sooo comfortable. Shower nicely hot and strong. Beautiful view over the lake (although it was a rainy day when we were staying).

I traveled in Iceland im December during low tourist season and was the only one staying here on my roadtrip. The two gentlemen working there were very welcoming and hospitable. Can walk to Fontana baths.

We stayed there for only a night and had a very good experience. Our car had broken down close to the hotel and Philip was more than helpful. He was very kind and helpful and went out of the way to help us get back on the road. Very grateful for his help and his kindness.
