Brilliant Location

Excellent location right near pile gate. Close to public bus / tour bus stops. Lots of restauants / cafes and 2 grocery shops in the immediate vicinity. Comfortable bed, good shower and clean apartment with a beautiful view of the bay outside. Close enough to everything but just outside the old town so no noise issues. Very helpful owner easily contactable on WhatsApp.

Wifi was a bit hit or miss. There was damp issue on one wall in the bedroom and sitting room but this didn't impact on our stay. Floor is a little uneven in the bathroom but this is to be expect in an old building.

brilliant! with a very helpful host!

the location couldn’t be more perfect! barely a minute walk from the bus station that is well out of view and the old city itself! but you still feel tucked away in a cosy corner of your own.

Amazing stay. Perfect location.

Perfect location! Very close to old town and supermarket and bakery closeby. The host was amazingly helpful and friendly. And the view at the bay and the fort, breathtaking.

Great stay

Location is amazing for Dubrovnik old town, kayak trips, and the bus station. The apartment is really big, the bed is comfortable and big too, there is storage space, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Really great stay with lovely view out the window and everything right on the doorstep.

Only small things were that the key was quite tricky to turn in the door and the hot water tank was fairly small, so we had to have 2 quick showers.

Perfect for us and the best location for feeling really part of the beautiful city!

The location is incredible and was perfect for exploring Dubrovnik for a short break. Light and airy quaint little place which for the price was excellent value. The host was so helpful in making sure we would find the place easily and get in on arrival and was a pleasure to communicate with.

Facilities are basic but again for the price perfectly acceptable. The place is nice and clean but it is simple.

Good place for a short stay

- Apartment location is perfect - right by Pile gate, but not too crowded. - Area is quiet - there are occasional tour groups passing by, but they are not loud, and only at daytime. - Incredible view from that one window in the living room. - Apartment is also pretty spacious and was cleaned well before our stay.

- Communication with the owner. He completely ignored everything happening on booking.com. I sent him several messages after I booked it, which was 6 weeks prior to our stay and got no replies. Even after full payment was processed a week before our stay there was nothing. I had to ask through Whatsapp if he's even aware I've paid him for 5 nights, only then he apologized and sent instructions. - The apartment is very old. Things/appliances are mostly working, but there are spots of peeling paint, yellow mold on the bedroom wall, and blue mold on the shower wall. - Bathroom door doesn't close at all - even if you try to push it there is still about 1 centimeter gap. I asked the owner about it, and he said he's aware and will fix it after the season is over, which is about 2 months after we leave. Thanks, that's good to know, but how does this help me? There were only 2 of us, and we've been married for a long time, so it wasn't a huge deal, but still. In other situations it might be very inconvenient. - Out of 3 windows in the living room only one can be opened, the other 2 are permanently locked. The view is amazing, and it's the main selling point of this apartment, but be aware you'll have exactly 1 window with this view.

Beautiful apartment with stunning views in central location.

The apartment was spacious and well equipped with wifi, aircon, hob, fridge/freezer, plenty of storage, hangers, dining table, hairdryer - everything we needed for a weekend away. But the best bit was the view and location. Absolutely stunning! Also, our host was incredibly helpful organising an airport pick up, sending loads of recommendations and replying instantly to all my messages.

As a group of 4 girls we could have done with additional mirrors, but no biggie.

Best location in Dubrovnik!

Location and view from this apartment make it very special. Being so close to Pile Gate was extremely convenient. Also just steps away from many very nice restaurants, take out sandwiches, pizza, plus a Kodzum grocery store directly across the street. The location is IDEAL and I would highly recommend this apartment. Also, the owner is extremely quick to respond & help you if you need assistance. I would rate him 10+

Charming, pretty and spacious with much needed swimming nearby.

I loved the the beautiful wooden floors, the gorgeous shutters and the view of the little bay outside where you could take a dip. But I particularly like the proximity to the old town and the brilliant beach just around the corner through a little hole in the wall. The owner made us a little film to describe where to find the apartment and keys which was genius and made everything simple and fun, like a treasure hunt -- but easier! When we arrived they had put the AC on which was a very nice touch and much appreciated because it was so hot.

Perhaps the shower could have been a bit easier.

I would very much stay here again due to the proximity set up of the apartment.

The location was superb. The video given of how to find and enter the property was not only very fun, but clear and helpful.

The bath towels were extremely rough on the skin. It would have been extra nice to have 'beach towels' to take to the water when we went swimming.

Holiday in Dubrovnik

The apartment was in a perfect location, just a few minutes walk from all the attractions. The view from the window was beautiful. The owner was so helpful.

Fantastic views- would recommend!

The location was ideal, perfect walking distance to the old city. The view from the window in the lounge was amazing- worth staying here just for the view!

The apartment was slightly dated. Bathroom facilities especially need updating.

Excellent location, friendly staff

The staff who manage the apartments were brilliant. They were friendly and helpful and moved us as soon as we asked, even during a thunderstorm. The location is excellent, perfect for exploring old town but with a beautiful view of a little dock and the Fort. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable and functional. Good value for money.

It's tricky, because we were originally put in an apartment different to the one we booked because of a problem with electrics and air con at ours. That apartment has a long list of things that weren't OK. We asked after a day to go to our original apartment because we didn't mind being without air con as it wasn't really hot weather. The downsides were that the bathroom sink leaked underneath a bit and the hot water ran out before I'd finished putting shampoo in my hair.

Incredible location, great host

The location could not have been better, truly. Being just a few steps outside Pile gate but not having to carry bags up the Old Town Steps. the bed was comfortable, full kitchen and great view.

The ONLY thing was the toilet made noise all night and I couldn’t sleep well with it.

Superb location with the best host! 10/10

The location was amazing! We couldn’t get enough of the view and it was very walkable. It was very quiet at night and we had everything we needed and more. Vedran was an amazing host! He helped us arrange a transit from/to the airport, gave us many recommendations for restaurants, attractions and had the best tips! He was very helpful, friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely come back and stay here again!

No luxury but great location and comp

Host seemed friendly, although we didn't meet, which we didn't mind - called me on whatsapp and sent videos and recommendations, left key in easy to find spot. Maid came on departure so easy check out. Location was everything - onto the water, impressive view - so close to the old town. Air conditioning in bedroom only, bed was big and comfy. Two ring hob and fridge in kitchen. Extra towels were helpful. *Three very small supermarkets in the old town walls for supplies.

Needs some maintenance, floor in the bathroom potentially dangerous as tiles broken and wobbly, we kept towels on the floor so we didn't hurt our feet. Shower door also broken. Found dust and hair, didn't seem to be cleaned very well - no broom for me to clean. Kitchen wasn't equipped - we only stayed for a week - no room to wash up (although we have experienced this many times in apartments), no spare t-towel, no bin bags, no dish cloth. Found ourselves buying lots of extras (including: washing up liquid/loo rolls). A toaster or microwave would have been helpful, I think photos depict flat upstairs which has microwave. Prices reflect Croatia so we went with low expectations - we spent most of our time outside and in the sea so all these things didn't effect our holiday as still had a great time.

Great stay, thanks to the location!

The location is GREAT! Will not get a better location than this. It is 100m away from the Old Town and you have a beautiful view over Blackwater Bay from the living room. The airconditioner in the bedroom is a bonus and the apartment is very spacious.

The condition of the apartment is poor. Bathroom tiles where broken and the shower was handheld, with only a low holder (waist level). The bed is not good quality and although the apartment is very spacious, the kitchen is poorly equipped. We where not able to make any meals in the apartment.

Location location location. Better than staying in the walled city.

Vedran was a true gentleman and carried my suitcase to the property. This place has amazing views of the old garrison and one of the most famous piers in the world. It is a very short walk to Pile gate and main bus stop, restaurants, banks, bakeries and a lovely local beach: all within a 5 minute walk. I would definately stay here again. As a single traveler I felt total safe and comfotable here.Great place to relax after walking around the city or walls.
