I recently had a remarkable stay at Knightsbury Guest House. It has exceeded all expectations.
Jenny and Johan are great hosts, very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfy and clean, and the Wi-Fi connection was fast and efficient. The breakfast was delicious and catered to your needs.
The guest house is in a good location, only 10 minutes away from the UCT, and restaurants and supermarkets are within walking distance.
I highly recommend it!

Most of all, the hosts, Jenny & Johan were just fantastic - I cannot describe how friendly and courteous they were. They took care of all our needs, including umbrellas when it was raining. Jenny met us when we arrived, showed us our rooms and gave us the keys. What can I say about the sumptuous breakfast - it was super. As vegetarians, I could not believe the spread they made. What I remember most of all was the baked apple. Both Jenny & Johan met us and chatted at breakfast. The room was extremely comfortable with all amenities, including an electric blanket (it was cold the first night). The place was within walking distance of UCT which is where I was going.
Everything was just great

The staff are very welcoming and friendly.
The breakfast was very good, well prepared and they cater to your needs.
The steep driveway, but the host was kind enough to reverse my car out of the property for me.

As other reviews had said, the staff is amazing. They are extremely friendly and will take care of basically any need you have. Get ready to eat a lot at breakfast too. The room wasn't big but has all the needed services, including fridge, microwave and tv, and everything was well organized so you basically feel at home. The bathroom is impressive and very clean, and the Wi-Fi was stable and powerful enough to do my stuff. Also, it stays on during load-sheddings. The guesthouse is at 10 minutes walk from UCT and 5 minutes to restaurants, shops and other facilities of the district.
It is hard to find something that could be improved. If any, maybe the place lacks an outside shadowy spot where you can stay to enjoy the warm weather without getting roasted by Sun. But that is really a minor thing.

Hosts were friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond with absolutely everything, including odd arrival times, early check in and late breakfast. I'll be back! So central and well positioned.

I like the breakfast and the location the most. The owners are friendly and accessible. They helped me to find out my need. They explained the security and safety issue wisely. Next time I would prefer to stay at this place
Everything was great except if they were allowed to keep the luggage for a few hours after checking out time. Because sometimes your flight is in the evening and it is difficult for you to move with the luggage

Breakfast was exceptional. Eggs made to order, excellent tomato and mushrooms. Joanne was a dear. She helped me with dinner reservations and travel arrangements for another trip. Moreover, she was such fun to talk to. Johann was always near to offer to help me with suitcases and backing my car. I felt very welcome.

What a beautiful gem of a guesthouse! Set in an established garden with huge trees lining the Rondebosch neighbourhood streets, Knightsbury is a manificently restored and maintained grand old house. Furnishings are exquisite, and there is such attention to detail from the comfortable day chairs in the bedrooms, to refined and classy cuttlery at breakfast. Bathrooms are modern, spacious with luxurious Charlotte Rhys toiletries.
Breakfast is served in a bright and beautiful dining room with lovely garden view. An all inclusive breakfast of freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh-cut fruit and yoghurt, superbly prepared eggs, bacon, sausage, tomato and mushrooms left us happily full. Although we made space to try the Hillcrest Berry Farm jam (best jams in SA I think... you can visit the Hillcrest Berry farm just outside Stellenbosch) with toast and freshly prepared coffee also.
The guesthouse is perfectly positioned to main road strip restaurants. Tip: the oldest and best Hassars Grill steakhouse in SA is a 5 min walk away. And if you have a night at the theatre planned, the Baxter theatre is a mere 4 minute walk from Knightsbury guesthouse. Being close to UCT its a nice walking neighbourhood with lots of old world charm. Jenny and Johan were wonderful hosts. Thank you for making us feel at home.

Breakfast was great. The room was clean.
The room was far too small. Perhaps I should have possibly chosen a bigger room however I cannot remember if there were choices. It would have been better to have DSTV or Netflix as SABC is not my preferred choice. Fresh milk would also be a great touch.
