The newly Built Sounders Beach Cottage is an elegant choice to stay at your Nassau vacation. A private gated subdivision, comprised of only 3 individual homes, you will enjoy the privacy. The kitchen area and the living room area has a integrated Queen Bed at the open Ceiling which can be accessed over a small stair case. This gives you a lot of Space. There is also a Pull out Couch at the Living Room Area. The Cottage has a kitchen with Stove , Refrigeration , Micro Wave and Coffee maker. Towels and Linens are provided. The Beach cottage is only a 2 minutes walk away the Go Slo Bend Beach and Sounders beach. This is great for snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding. For your dining and social needs, the Bus is stopping direct in Front of the house ( only $ 1,50) The new Baha Mar Mega Resort with Restaurants, Bars, Shopping or Down Town is only 5 minutes away. KFC , Pizza Hut or the famous Fish Fry Restaurants are in walking distance. The location cant be better. Overall you will find that our Cottage is an elegant residence with turquoise blue ocean views and convenience for your stay in Nassau. This property is for college students. To small for adults. Most adults don’t like climbing up ladders to sleep. Little lizards running around coming through windows. Busted sofa bed. No wi - Fi Disappointed

Definitely sleeps 3 adults, two confortably. A little more needs to be done with the drain flies, they are pretty bad.

During our stay at Sounders Beach Cottage 2BD, Alicia, our host, was kind and hospitable. She introduced us to Bahamian cuisine and culture. She was a part of the fantastic experience we had on the island.
I have stayed at various hotels across the globe before. Many of them were five-star standard while others were budget-friendly accommodation. To be fair, sounders 2BD itself has a basic setup. It might not make you "wow," but it was cozy and suitable for our group of three. The ambient was simple but home-like. We have had good nights' sleep throughout our stay. Also, the dining area was a perfect setting for Instagram photo opportunities. I love how our food showed off on the blue background of the dining table.
There was also basic kitchenware, including cooking pots, pans, silverware, dishes, and glasses for those who love to cook their meals.

There is a learning curve with navigating the bus to different beaches. The Host is wonderful and responsive. The house had a couple small things that needed addressed but it did not effect our stay. If you don’t mind walking or riding a bus to everything this place will work for you.

The place was fantastic for a couple. Really cozy, intimate, and fun just to hang out in.
Good stuff- Right on ocean(no ocean view), strong internet, free streaming(netflix, youtube, Prime via firestick), excellent staff who are always available to answer questions.
Additionally, the area felt very safe and we constantly walked to most of the places. While it is not a short walk to down town you should still be good if not in the summer months. Cabs are generally 20 bucks one way for anything.
Opportunities- The beds are a little short. If you are over 5'10 you may not be comfortable. The stove is a gas stove that runs off of propane and not the strongest fire. So cooking from there can be a bit of a challenge but they have all stuff you need(plates, silverware, pots/pans) to do your cooking. Just be aware you will be limited and using more than one burner can be problematic.
Overall place is awesome and we loved it. Also, on our way out we looked at the other cottage that is bigger and I would pay the extra money as the bed situation is much better but the laying on the couch and cuddling is stronger with this one. So your call.

Not exactly what I expected...
First of, I was quite mad even before we arrived to be held hostage by homeaway/the property owner, whom refused a refund/cancellation when I asked for some humanity on their behalf. I should have been more careful as a first time user, but didn’t notice charges would be in USD and reservation was final. Once we arrived, Michelle was very nice and the inside of the house looked exactly like on the pictures. However, we were welcomed by 3 dead cockroaches on the floor and no sea view whatsoever. All the white linens were stained with yellow/brown marks all over. You have to walk on the sidewalk, next to West Bay St (where cars drive as fast as on a highway) to reach the beach. The property managers seemed keen to add intimacy to the bathroom window after we left, as well as some outdoor seating next to the door. All in all, I felt held hostage and sold a high end experience when we actually got a pretty yet simple kinda-next-to-the-beach guest house. For the same price, we booked the next night at 5-star resort Baha Mar... Not impressed. (I also have pictures of everything I mentionned)
