Luxury, comfort, and convenience define every aspect of this opulent home, from the enormous great room featuring a huge wood-burning fireplace and high, vaulted ceilings, to the expansive gourmet kitchen boasting everything the family chef needs to create something wonderful. Let the kids play in the spacious yard while you enjoy a refreshing iced tea out on the screened-in patio. Head down to Blanco River to spend the afternoon tubing with the kids or enjoy a raucous evening of board games on the handsome dining table with lots of buttered popcorn. Enjoy the evening views from the deck while savoring a glass of delicious local wine then come in for a terrific movie on the cable TV. Guests also have access to a connected garage apartment that comes with two beds, a bathroom, and a kitchenette. Wimberley is home to spring wildflowers, towering cypress trees, and all kinds of friendly and outdoorsy people, and it's only one hour from Austin. Wimberley Valley Winery offers delicious wine pairings and tastings while Ino'z Brew & Chew is a great place to go for some delicious local fare. Head over to The Corral Theatre where you can 'see the stars under the stars' at an open-air movie venue. Jacob's Well, only seven miles north, is an outstanding and super-popular swimming hole fed by The Trinity Aquifer 120 feet below. Both Luna Rio and Luna Rio Cabana can be rented separately/together. THINGS TO KNOW Drought conditions will affect the water levels for this property so please know that the pictures in the listing may not reflect the true level of water during your stay. We are not able to give refunds or cancellations due to low water levels. A high chair is available for guest use. The hot tub is serviced Friday morning. The fireplace in the main bedroom is for owner use only. The wood-burning fireplace downstairs is for guest use. A sofabed in the upstairs landing area provides an extra sleeping space. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

My girlfriends and I had a mini high school reunion and everyone loved the house. It was beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The location was great and we would not hesitate to rent here again.

Loved our time at the property with our adult kids and young grandkids. The house was exactly what we were looking for - quiet, away from crowds and partiers, water access (we had knee-deep water in August, which was fine for us), and multiple places for hanging out indoors and outdoors on the property. We found the house well-supplied, the beds and pillows comfortable, and overall one of our favorite family weekends. We would love to come back when it’s not quite so hot and so we can enjoy more time outside!

This house is beautiful! Layout is perfect, plenty of room inside and in the yard for all activities. Extremely clean, has all the kitchen/BBQ items you need, check in/check out process very easy and great communication with management. Only negative was the river was so low, we had very little water on this water front property. Nothing owner can control. Luckily there were penalty of other water places to go and the town of Wimberley has lots of great shopping and food. Will definitely book again.

If I were reading this house solely on the cleanliness of it, and the home decor, it would get five stars. I gave this property two stars because there was no hot water. For five days my whole family took cold showers. Except in the master bathroom, and we washed dishes in cold water. Not only that, but the cold water had such a strong stench. It would stink up the whole room, very repulsive!!! Another reason for two stars is because there was no waterfront. At best it was a trickle even if the water level was at a normal level it would be maybe mid calf deep. To say this property is “waterfront” is false marketing!!! we had to walk onto someone else’s property to find water for the children to play in. I am very disappointed in this property and the way they advertise it. I had tried to send emails to ask several questions before our stay and finally had to find a phone number to call because no one ever responded. The person that I spoke with was in Belize. Talk about impersonal… They had no idea about the property. I don’t know if it’s Vacas or vrbo to blame for all of this but I feel very ripped off. We come to waterfront to find water and you certainly don’t pay the prices that I paid to shower in cold water. Disappointed is an understatement.

The house is well-appointed and in a nice location, but it is not well-managed. Took two hours and multiple phone calls to get access to a part of the house. Hot water was spotty, as was power and wifi. Coffee maker full of grinds clearly accumulated over a long period of time and therefore bot functioning. Probably will not repeat Vacasa-managed home.

Gorgeous home and was the perfect Thanksgiving get away! The fall tree leaves were so vibrant this year and we’re so stunning on the Blanco River! The house was warm and cozy and didn’t feel like a rental! If you love to cook this is your home. Two dish washers were a major plus!

We were in Wimberley for a wedding and this home was the perfect gathering place for our family. The furnishings and artwork were fantastic, the kitchen was fully equipped, all bedrooms had nice linens and were comfortable. The views out front were spectacular including deer sightings. There were many different seating options both inside and out.
We didn't love the internet equipment that stayed on 24/7 in the twin bedroom. The lights from the equipment were blinking all night. Also, the water pump? made a loud noise when anyone was in the shower but overall we had a fantastic stay and would like to return.

The house and garage apartment were both beautiful, spacious and super clean. Great yard and location. Everything you need is here, except the internet is spotty at best. Internet is satellite - we had the best luck using the Vacasa login id and pw. There is also very little phone signal here due to the hills, so if that's a big deal for you , you may want to find another property. The screened in porch is AWESOME and we spent most of our time out there eating and socializing.
A few notes to the owners: The hot water in the apartment only worked for 3 mins at a time. The 2nd dishwasher in the house needs a serious cleanout (we could only use the 1st dishwasher and the inside soap dispenser didn't work, so we had to toss the soap pods in the bottom of the dishwasher. Minor inconvenience, but worth noting).

We had a wonderful 3 day stay at Luna Rio! The house was spacious, decorated beautifully, and the amenities were perfect. Our group plans on renting it out for our next trip altogether! I’d also like to add that the local Ops Manager, Scott, provided outstanding customer service when we did run into a few issues. He was communicative and so quick we barely noticed what happened! Highly recommend staying here.

The house was big and spacious, the location was great, and there was plenty for everyone to do while on the premises. And to top things off, we enjoyed sitting on the back patio in the mornings and watching the deer while drinking coffee. We had a great time!

Overall the home was very nice and the property was left very well stocked - shampoos, towels , kitchen supplies etc.
Beds were very comfortable and views and grounds were well kept to just sit on porches to take in view to relax in the evenings.
Water levels were very low when we went so not much to do at the river there at the house to cool off but to be expected with lack of rain.
Master bath was amazing! But other showers in house and garage apt were very hit or miss- hot then cold, pressure or not- but as is with well water .
Enjoyed our stay and our kids had a great time staying up late playing cards and dominos so great memories made!

Very nice accommodations, fully stocked kitchen, multiple living areas inside and out, takes a little bit to get down to the river but well worth it when you get there. Highly recommend.

Great Home for Family Gathering

We have an annual couples trip and this house has been our best property yet.
Sheets were so soft, beds were comfortable, air conditioner was superb. All of the areas in the home accommodated hosting on a new level. When you say at the dining table it felt like a restaurant. The back patio was our favorite hang out!
The river was so perfect to lay in and float rocks. Watch out for snakes though, they aren’t bad. Just be aware and mindful.
