The listing shows everything almost exactly how it was when we arrived. The pool is just as big as the listing shows (it's also about 6' deep at the lowest part) and the indoor living area is nice and big. Decorations are really nice and gave me some inspiration for my place even. We visited over Thanksgiving and got lucky enough to see manatees in the inlet in the backyard. So cool! Would definitely recommend. The only real thing to note is that there's no garage or carport, just a driveway. Didn't bother us but figured it should be noted.

Every year a few of my fraternity brothers and I get together for a weekend of fellowship. This year we chose Tampa as our destination. I researched several properties and we decided upon Blue Heron based upon the reviews and photos. When we arrived we weren’t disappointed. The property looked much better then the photos depicted. The property is beautiful, rooms are spacious, clean and had everything you could want for a vacation. It sits on the inland with a screened in pool overlooking the water. If you’re looking for a nice place for a family vacation I would highly recommend Blue Heron.

The Blue Heron house was perfect for my family. The attention to detail was not overlooked. The host provided toilet paper, paper towels, towels (bath and beach), shampoo/conditioner, soap, kitchen and dishwasher items to name a few! My children LOVED the toy box. They played for hours. My favorite had to be the door alarm to the pool area. It gave me an extra sense of security with the children. The deck on the canal was very beautiful and peaceful. We all enjoyed the mango tree in the front yard…bonus! The neighborhood is very quiet and friendly. The location could not be beat. We were near grocery stores, and between some of the best beaches. We drove to Indian Rocks beach one day (beautiful water!) and Siesta Key the next (the best sand!). I had an issue with the grill and the electricity going off briefly. The host was very quick to respond and transparent with the issue. Excellent communication and very friendly. I would 100% recommend this house and would definitely stay again.

The entryway floor mat said it all- Welcome Home. This house felt like home. It is spacious and welcoming and the river and pool bring a peacefulness that made us want to stay! I enjoyed sitting on the dock in the early morning having coffee and watching the birds and the water. I hope to come back to this little piece of heaven!

The house was very clean. We really enjoyed the pool, amenities, and kayaking. Some rooms were cooler than others but other than that everything was good. There were fans in the closet that my friends used who had the warmer rooms.

This property is exactly as pictured but what you don’t see are all the little details that made the stay exceptional. The beds are very comfortable (even our Goldilocks found a bed that was just right). The kayaks and paddle boat where great fun and there were plenty of pool toys. Labels on the light switches made it easy to find the correct switch and so many more details made our visit unforgettable.

Our family of 6 adults had a great time at this home! We loved the screened in heated pool (84 degrees +) and fishing off of the dock and in the included kayaks. We saw many dolphins and manatees. The interior of the home is beautiful, looks newly remodeled and was very clean. The hosts went out of their way to provide way more than just the bare minimum of supplies (all kitchen soaps, laundry soap, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner were available). Not many rental properties provide these. Several good restaurants nearby, including the Lazy Gator which is within walking distance and our favorite Sunset Bar and Grill for a nice lunch or dinner on the beach. Publix and Winn Dixie are both just a short drive away. Hosts are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this vacation rental!

This place was great - comfortable, plenty of space and so much attention to detail. My kids swam everyday in the heated pool. The house was really well stocked - pods for the washer, beach towels, games and even art supplies for the kids. We used the kayaks right off the dock, and it was a quick drive to a beach to swim there as well. Definitely recommend.

We traveled with 3 kids (6, 3 and 18 months) and this house and location couldn’t have been any more perfect! Quiet neighborhood and close enough to enjoy both local attractions and beaches. The house had everything we needed plus more! It really felt like we were at home but with sunshine and warmth.

My family & I had an amazing time at the blue heron house! We all loved the pool and sitting on the docks, looking for dolphins. There were lots of extra touches, that made our time stress-free (like coffee, spices, laundry supplies, etc). It was also great to have an actual person to reach out to for questions. Ruby responded fast and was very helpful with anything we needed. Thank you!!

Our family had such a good time in this lovely home. The home is darling and was very clean. The view of the water is amazing. At sun set we sat out on the dock and saw two dolphins swimming by. The kids (17&18) loved all the water toys and fishing gear the owner graciously has left for the extra fun. During the day we went to different beaches within 1/2 hour drive. Ruby was very kind and responsive with any questions we had. We are already talking about doing this again next year.

The house was perfect for our family summer vacation. It's was exactly as shown in the pictures and everyone had space to spread out. The pool was perfect and we spent lots of time splashing around. We even made smores in the fire pit one night, the kids loved it! Publix and Winn Dixie grocery stores are nearby so you can stock up the kitchen and cook some meals. We would definitely recommend this property and we hope to return for next summer's family vacation!

We were in the area for work and coming back to this house after a long day was extremely relaxing. Beds are super comfy, pool is warm, the dock is amazing! While there we saw dolphins & manatees. We captured some beautiful pictures of the sunsets & the stillness of the water in the evening. We were also able to enjoy some fresh mango from the trees in the front yard. The house was very clean, however, when we arrived the trash cans were full & stinky and the trash didn't get picked up for days. The inside of the grill (burners & such) were rusted out & need replaced. Great house! We really enjoyed our stay and will plan a visit again!

It felt like home as soon as we walked in the door. It was perfect for our family of 6 and we especially enjoyed the private pool, views and quiet neighborhood. While we were tucked away in our own space, we were still close enough to travel to several places to eat and visit different beaches. Ruby's communication was on point with quick responses and made check in/out easy and helped make our vacation perfect.

Wonderful to be able to have a home to come back and rest for the day, Pool to yourself, then a marina to sit and watch the boats, fish, dolphin watch, the kayak. We loved it. We loved our stay in Ruskin at the Blue Herron House! We saw several manatee and had some dolphin too, right from the dock. Ruskin is a short drive to Tampa and close to Bradenton and Sarasota for the best beaches! The house is clean and well maintained and Ruby was very quick to respond to any communication. Can’t wait for our next stay!

This place was absolutely wonderful. It was spacious for our teens to spread out. The pool was awesome and we caught a ton of catfish off the doc. The place had everything we needed. We used grill and bonfire pit and the water toys. We will definitely recommend and even return ourselves. Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful place.

With safety during the global pandemic our no.1 priority we booked this vacation week to accommodate two children and five adults in the area for a family wedding. This property was welcoming and spotless, the perfect vacation spot. With the well stocked amenities, we only needed to go to the grocery store a couple of times to resupply and meals were effortless-and no reservations required. We would not hesitate to rent this home again.

This was our best rental property experience ever. This host is top notch and the attention to detail was unlike we have ever seen, they covered all basis. From spices in the cabinet, to the outdoor activity equipment, the heated pool, plenty of towels, sunscreen, fire wood, s’more sticks and more. Everything we could ever need was right on the property. She answered all of my questions and provided suggestions for things to do in the area. I can’t say enough great things about this property and host. I can’t wait to return to the amazing Blue Heron home. Thanks so much for a vacation we will remember for a lifetime.

This home is truly amazing. We have stayed at many and hands down this is the best. The home is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. It has a very bright sunroom to sit in and enjoy coffee while watching the kids in the pool and the canal in the background. Amazing! Ruby is a phenomenal hostess and responds within minutes. There are kayaks, paddle boards and many other things to enjoy. We were all very sad to have to leave. Thank you for sharing your home with us, Ruby!
