Excellent location!! The kitchen was well-appointed and plenty of room for everyone. We had a wonderful time! Made some lovely family memories!
However, when we arrived, the door in front of the dryer was off its track and the handle to the glass door of the shower downstairs was broken. Only gave a 3 star for cleanliness of the home.

Our family had a great time during our stay. The easy access to the beach was fantastic! There is a Publix 2 minutes away making any food needs convenient.

The house was very comfortable and accommodating. It showed its age but that did not affect anything. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with our Florida Family and it was wonderful to be back on hometown turf. It was close to St. Augustine and almost right across the street from a large Publix in Vilano.

If you are looking for a "beach getaway" this place is wonderful!!! Private walkway to the beach that is just steps from the St Augustine Inlet. Very nice!!!

We had a wonderful 2 week stay! - loads of great surfing and fishing as this house is close to the jetty / inlet and 4x4 drive-on beach access. We are used to renting in Vilano so we bring our own Fishing rods, boogie boards, chairs, beach towels etc. although this property seems well equipped for out of state folks and so close to Publix and other stores right over bridge. There’s a hose at base of stairs that lead up to deck for rinsing off and a hose up on the deck as well.
Wonderful sunrises from deck each morning! Short easy walk down to the beach. We Brought a baby gate to keep dogs from escaping down side stairs off deck. A permanent gate there would be a smart addition for kids / dogs.
SOME SUGGESTIONS: more hooks in bedrooms / bathrooms. Needs some Luggage racks, and a good broom to keep up with sandy floors. and Better pillows! We also had to clear weeds from path and prune overgrown plants from walkway to beach so owner should have some basic garden tools there to use ; hand pruner and sharp shovel. Coffee maker is old and should be replaced as it does not have auto shut off. Toilet in upstairs master needs some repair to keep it from running continuously.
Overall we really enjoyed this house and it’s location ☀️

Very disappointed that they do not provide any beach towels (had to buy some at Publix) and no usable beach chairs ( the ones in garage are totally rusted and not useable without getting rust all over the towels). The dishes in kitchen are chipped and the house needs some updates. The washer and dryer are ancient. It is a great location directly on the beach. I would say that the internet pictures make it look nicer than it actually is.

We loved the location. This place is tucked away in a quite neighborhood with little to no traffic. It’s half a mile away from Publix and two restaurants. Just a short drive to the historic district. We would definitely stay here again.

My kids and I have become connoisseurs of St Augustine VRBO rentals because my sister lives there and we visit frequently. We unanimously voted this the best one we have stayed in. Gorgeous house, fantastic oceanfront views. The upstairs loft is a super cool hangout area the kids loved. Spotlessly clean. I will definitely be staying here again if I can get it!

Stayed here for the holidays in 2022. Beautiful property right on the beach. More than enough room for our group of 6. was much colder than usual for Florida, but the house was cozy with tons of extra blankets. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our low maintenance breakfasts of scrambled eggs, and our soup & dumplings for dinner. Loved that all the light switches were labeled which took the guesswork out of turning on the lights - there are a lot of switches! Location was super close to Publix and an easy drive or Uber to historical St Augustine. Definitely would stay here again!

On the beach with easy access. Home is slightly dated and could use a few updates. Very functional layout with generous size kitchen and dining area. Family room furniture was very comfortable. Beds are less comfortable. Would stay again based on location!!!

We rented the home for the week leading up to our son's wedding. We had difficulty getting in because we clearly didn't know how to use the keypad but one quick call to the office and they helped us right out. Marty and Sandy the property managers were great. The dryer wasn't working when we first tried it and they had a repair man there in a few hours. It was great that we barely skipped a beat in getting our laundry done. The house is quite large and was great for our family to celebrate or have private time. The wrap-around porch out front got used a lot as the ocean right out front was beautiful. We loved the Publix being so close and were able to spend time on the beach with family because the public access was so close. For us it was a perfect fit.

35 yr Marriage Anniversary Celebration with our Family … outstanding Home, View, Surroundings, Private Walk and Community! Priceless Place! The only complaint is wished we had come earlier and stayed later and had a time travel machine to lessen travel … Give this Home a perfect “10” … We’re all Sellers here …..

Very nice home.. and beach is wonderful
Very nice home. A little thin on pots and pans. Pull out Bed is not worth sleeping on but other than that it was awesome. We bought a griddle and a nice air mattress and from there is was smooth sailing. Note we have 5 kids all with spouses so there is a lot of room here. Just dont plan on using the pull out as it isnt comfortable. But a nice air mattress from Walmart easily fills that gap.

Amazing Location
Amazing property with beach access through backyard boardwalk. Easy walk to haul all our beach chairs, cooler, body boards etc. Kids had a blast body surfing , loved that lifeguard had post feet away from the house. Convenient walk to Publix for last minute groceries was a plus. I would have liked firmer bed in master but overall loved the house. Very comfortable home for our family of 11. Looking forward to next year, will definitely go back. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

This home met our needs - spacious enough for three couples and four children and with lovely ocean views and functional; excellent access to beach. But many aspects of the property need a facelift: the appliances are tired and dated; windows desperately need to be washed; so did outside light fixtures; path to beach needs to be cut clear; the table needs to be made firm, the third floor bathroom (with two steps up to the shower/tub) is an accident waiting to happen. And communication with property management could only happen during business hours. Paying $1000 per day, I think the owner should hire someone to take out the garbage of the previous tenants (not expect incoming to do it) and for a maid to do all the laundry. Being told to do the towels ourselves at that rate, did not sit well. BUT it was convenient to a lovely beach and we enjoyed our time there.

Everything was very nice. House was very spacious and comfortable. Good location. Felt welcomed when we walked in. My family and I enjoyed the accomodations immensely. Only problem was recycling. Should be made clearer where and when it occurs. We were told Monday was recycling but in fact they came on Friday.

This beach front property is in a great location! Had the best of both worlds, a lazy beach vacation with the fun, shopping and great dining in St Augustine with only a very short ride (car or bikes!) over the bridge.
The layout is great! Each floor has bedrooms with a bathroom. For 7 adults (2 couples and 3 other individuals), it was perfect for us, no one had to share a room.
The deck space was very nice, and, honestly, I don’t think the pics do the views justice. The main living area was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed as well.
We did have a problem with the cable tv in the master and, unfortunately, the roof leaked during a rain storm! However, the property manager was excellent in responding to issues. Both issues were resolved very promptly. The roof had never leaked before, and they were able to patch it up temporarily for us. The cable box had to be replaced and they did that within a day.
Vilano beach itself doesn’t have much to offer and it seems to be a town that’s undergoing some renewal. There is one small shopping center with a Publix, a pizza place, Chinese place and a gift shop. We were there to explore St Augustine and neighboring Anastasia park, so, for us, and especially being able to rent bikes, it was a perfect location.
Overall, a great stay, great place and great property manager!

Lovely beach front property, fitted our family group of 4 adults and 4 kiddos well.
The weather during our stay was unseasonably cold, but the heating kept the house warm and cozy.
Facilities good, some updating required, chipped crockery etc.
Only slight observation would be that could the towels be added to the laundry list for washing on checkout, rather than asking the guests to wash them before they leave. This was awkward with an early (10am) checkout.

This was such a great choice for our family gathering in the week after Christmas 2021 that we promptly paid to book it again for the same week in 2022! We loved the oceanfront deck, the dog-friendly beach, the quiet neighborhood that's still so close to many conveniences, and the 3-story layout that worked well for 9 adults & 2 dogs. Prospective renters might like to know the kitchen, dining and living rooms are big enough for family meals and activities on the main (2nd) floor. Mom & Dad paid, so they got the spacious master suite on the 3rd floor, which adds a waterview loft (with sleeper sofa we didn't need) that became an office when online work called. 90-year-old Grandma enjoyed a 2nd-floor bedroom so she had access to all she needed, including the deck, while avoiding stairs. The other 2nd-floor bedroom went to the 30-year-old daughter with husband and dogs. The 2 sons in their late 20s with girlfriends each had a 1st-floor bedroom. No problem parking 2 cars in the garage and 2 in the driveway, and there was room for 1 more when a sister joined us for a day at the beach. Looking forward to our return!

This home is amazing! Fit comfortably 5 grown women and all of their belongings, plus some additional guests who came to celebrate only for the day. The beach was amazing to listen to at all times of day and night. Close enough to enjoy St. Augustine but not the crowds and noise. The beach access walkway had some sandspurs but being local, they did not affect our group. We came to celebrate our mom turning 60, and after such a rough year, this was the perfect escape. They had everything we needed for a great weekend. Note to anyone staying- beach fills in fast so set up early if you want to be right in front of the walkway to the house (that is a PSA bc we locals already know how great our beaches are). We will be back and this house is on top of our list to return too!

Might suggest the owner installs ceiling fans in all bedrooms for better circulation. It gets VERY hot at night- even with the thermostat at 72 and curtains drawn.
The boardwalk to beach is in need of repair.

Positives and negatives
The spaciousness of the living areas was a plus: kitchen was spacious and could acommodate several cooks at a time. A definite negative issue was the A/C. The top floor bedroom was cool enough to sleep only when door was kept closed from its balcony living area. (We went by the guidelines to not lower temp more than to 72 degrees.) Needed fans on - but it is Florida in August! The public beach (and cars and trucks) in front of house was positive and negative. In the end it was fine. Can't see beach from house. If owners would put in new A/C this would be an ideal house.

We did not realize the beachfront property was Along public access for vehicular traffic, was not mentioned in marketing detail. Made for less relaxing visit. Unit decorated nicely and Very spacious. It had enjoyable deck area for sitting outside. Kitchen very stocked and functional. Management responded to concern with plumbing immediately and rectified. Overall we had a lovely time.
