Summary: - Welcome to the quiet Sunrise Suites community located on the southeast side of Key West. - Just 1 mile from the beach where aqua blue waters & loungers await. - Only a 10 minute drive to downtown Duval Street restaurants, attractions & nightlife. - Two bedroom bright & airy condo with free parking & private balcony! - Your stay includes access to all of your must-haves: shared hot tub, heated amazing pool, walking paths, biking trails, tennis court & laundry facilities! The Space: This recently renovated unit comes fully equipped with new marble countertops, new living room chairs and couches, a flat screen TV and a large private balcony. There is Free Wifi and cable provided as well as a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, fridge, microwave and stove. The guests of this condominium are able to take advantage of the shared hot tub, private washer and dryer, shared pool, and tennis courts. Guest Access: Our contactless check-in procedure makes check-in easy. Guests will receive a personalized access code prior to arrival. There is central AC at this unit as well as internet, TV, and cable. The Neighborhood: Salt Cay Suite is located inside of the Sunrise Suites Resort Community located just minutes away from the World Famous Duval Street and its vibrant restaurants, art galleries and nightlife. Inside the community you can find a corner store, spa, walking and biking trails. It is also located just a short drive away from the nightly Sunset Celebration and entertainment at Mallory Square. Getting Around: One of the best parts of staying in Key West is how close in proximity you are to everything, this small little 2x4 island offers a variety of ways to get to and from your destination! Don’t feel like walking? Peddle your way to breakfast, or take a bike ride along the water at sunset, by renting from Fury or Island Bicycles who offer both pick up & drop off of bike services! Feel like you’re on island time when you rent from Minty’s where you can enjoy exploring Key West on a scooter or golf cart! In addition to these non-traditional modes of transportation, you can also Uber, Lyft or Taxi to your next destination. Pink Taxi is an easy, reliable and affordable way for getting to your rental from the airport. There is 1 parking spot available per apartment. However, the spots are not marked. They are available on a first-come first-serve basis so we can not guarantee close proximity to your unit. A second parking spot is a possibility and based off of parking lot vacancy. Should you see an additional spot, you may park free of charge. Other Things to Note: Free onsite parking is included with your stay. Private washer/dryer located in unit. This unit is located close to the airport. Pets are welcome! Our requirements are as follows: •40lb maximum per pet •$15/night per pet •2 pet maximum Please let us know if you plan on bringing your pet.

From the pictures and writeup, this place looked nice. My son and grandson arrived first at approximately 9pm. When they arrived, they observed several young people outside playing music loudly and a few on the upper floor spitting down see who could spit the furthest.
That was enough for my son and decided to not even stay at the apartment and park his work truck in the open lot. He then called and told me to not even go to the apartment and that he will pick me up and take me to the hotel he got instead.
Huge disappointment and added costs!

Very Disappointing

The condo itself is great and we loved the property and location. The check-in process was horrible. We were told doe 3 hours they were “trying to get us an early check in” when in reality, housekeeping never cleaned the room and that’s why they wouldn’t let us check in early. We finally get into the room at 4:01 and it hasn’t been cleaned. Apparently housekeeping was late because it had been raining?!? I was more angry that the property management was lying to us about trying to get us in early instead of just telling the truth that the room hadn’t been cleaned and would likely be cleaned late. We were sitting at the property in the pouring rain with a 4 year old and crying infant for 3 hours and would have appreciated that bit of honesty from them.

We resorted to using the bathroom hand towels for kitchen towels and pot holders. We had to do laundry every 2 days-in order to have enough towels for showering for the four of us. In places in the past, we were supplied beach towels, ice chest and beach accessories-left on the patio for each patron to utilize. Not here-be prepared to bring/buy your own. Also, several of the coffee cups were broken/chipped, there was limited utensils for eating with and only one sharp knife, but plentiful butter knives. All in all a place to rest in between outings-but definitely could use some care and thought.

However, what the listing does not mention is that the unit faces the airport so all day long you see and hear planes taking off. Also they advertise the unit as remolded. However they should have said they kitchen was remolding and they added a new end tables in the living room. The bathrooms were old and dirty. The shower curtain bar was rusty and the floor looked dirty. The shower ran out of hot water. Patio furniture was also old and the leather kitchen bar stools were also all ripped. We also had lamps in the unit that did not work. The TV in the living room also did not work. We could not get any channels. We also paid a premium holiday rate and we did not get what we paid for. We were also very disappointed in the way the rental company handled our complaints. They basically said it was not their fault that the unit was not in great shape since they only represent the rental. They said they would let maintenance know our comments but there was nothing more they could do. If you decide to book this unit I would make sure you know exactly what you are getting for the price. You may be expecting a higher quality place like we were. Also in the era of covid you would like that extra blankets and pillows in the unit would be wrapped and sealed so you know they are clean. A little extra sanitation notification would go a long way.
