About this house rental
Nestled in Emerald Isle, this lovely house for $492 per night is a great option for your next vacation. With steps leading directly to the beach - what more could you ask for? You would be renting the west side. The views from this house are incredible no matter which direction you look. Sitting on the highest point of land in Emerald Isle, Cloud Nine is appropriately named, sitting high atop the dunes. The sun rises to the east and sets in the west, over the ocean, making this location one of the only places on the entire east coast that faces due south. The house offers a huge composite deck with PVC railings and a covered sitting area for shade. Stairs offer a short walk to get your feet in the sand. On the main living floor an open floor plan offers a comfortable living room to relax and rejuvenate for another exciting beach day. A large kitchen off of the living room on the main floor is loaded with all of your cooking necessities. On the Bogue Sound side of the main floor, a separate room is tucked away for extra sleeping space. A full bath and washer/dryer is on the sound side, off of the kitchen. The upstairs is all about sleeping space! After a day on the beach or out visiting the plethora of local attractions, there is nothing like a good night's rest. Cloud Nine offers comfortable sleeping for our guests as we have furnished the house for as we will one day live there ourselves. The master bedroom sits off the ocean side and offers a king bed and a large deck with a view that makes you speechless. The master bedroom offers the largest bathroom with windows that show the ocean with every turn. The largest room on the sound side offers a private deck with a view of the ocean and the sound, a queen bed with a twin, large walk-in closet. The sound side back bedroom offers a full bed, twin bed and plenty of closet space with a great view of Bogue Sound. The middle room at the top of the stairs offers a bunkbed with two twins and closet. Built in 1995 and remodeled in 2012, the house is very well constructed and maintained. Cloud Nine sits near mile marker 15, mid-way mark on the 29 mile island. This proximity allows guests to travel east to discover the local flavor of nearby Atlantic Beach, including a side trip to the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, only 8 miles away. Continue on east and follow Route 58 to the end of the road which is home to historic Fort Macon State Park. From Atlantic Beach, a trip across the causeway to Morehead City offers nightlife, sound side dining and local shopping with historic Beaufort only a few miles further east. Traveling west from the house brings you into the town of Emerald Isle in just 4 miles. Adventurous guests can walk to the Bogue Sound pier by beach in about two hours. I recommend walking one way and calling back for a ride and insisting on being taken out to a wonderful local restaurant for lunch since you earned that!! Crossing the bridge at the west end of Emerald Isle is one of the most breathtaking scenes on the island. This short drive takes you to Cedar Point, home of Dudley Marina and the best place for FRESH OFF THE BOAT seafood at Phillips Seafood Market - where the locals go for fresh fish. Drive across another short bridge and enter into Swansboro, one of our favorite places to go. Wonderful people and wonderful restaurants. The closest mall in Jacksonville is only 30 minutes from Cloud Nine, beyond Swansboro. FAQ details -Keurig and regular coffee makers -Gas grill and a small charcoal grill available for use. - 2 smart tvs, 1 in Livingroom and 1 in Master with Roku and Spectrum cable and 2 other tvs that you can plug your gaming system or smart device into, but are not smart tvs otherwise. -There are 2 boxes down by the beach with various beach toys and such that you are welcome to use. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee beach chairs or umbrellas will be available so please bring your own or arrange to rent them for your stay. The salt water and air destroys them quickly and we are unable to keep a supply available for renters. - 2 parking spots under the west side of the house and 2 right behind those in the driveway. We do not have boat/trailer parking. -Pack n'play available to borrow-need your own sheets -Need additional baby gear or beach items during your stay? We loved the place! Beautiful view of the ocean from the home, balcony and deck. The game room was stocked full of games and books. A folder was provided suggesting great places to dine at in the area and also places for fun and entertainment.
We would love to stay again next year!
(By the way, as there were no problems with the place we had no need to communicate with the property manager, therefore we only gave that section a 3-star rating.)2

Beautiful views! Comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes. Loved the high outdoor chairs. Easy to see over the deck rails and enjoy the dolphins. We had a great time!

We loved our week here, you can’t beat the ocean views from every window and the quiet area and beachfront access. The house is well laid out, with a few minor things that need attention (shower heads are mostly all corroded from salty beach air, sliding door in master bedroom out to balcony is almost unusable, overall cleaning job prior to check-in was not the best). Homeowner was responsive and kind and we did enjoy our stay and will be back!

This was our first trip to the island and we will definitely be back. It was the prefect housing for our friendcation. While there is a lot of steps going down to the beach (we knew this when we booked), it provided amazing views off the deck and we all enjoyed gathering there each morning and evening.

We had a fabulous week! The owners responded quickly to my minor concerns, and my family of 10 had a great time. The stairs appeared daunting, but were really no problem, especially once we realized that the chairs etc could be safely stored at a landing near the beach. We hope to be back!

House layout was as listed and worked well for us.
The beach gear (toys and chairs) in the deck boxes was better than we expected.
Water pressure should be stronger; but we knew that from other reviews.
Hard water spots, and overall poor cleaning from the dishwasher caused several items to be re-hand washed; we were also was aware of this from previous reviews.
The area that keeps us from rating our stay as a five, was the fact that the cleaning crew had hosed the hosts on their duties….so at check-in we had to re-sweep the floors and tumble dry the bed covers to get rid of pet hair.
We are certain the hosts were unaware of this cleaning issue. It can be fixed, and we’re sure they will address it with their cleaners.

Several things were brought to the owners attention while staying that we received various explanations on but no resolution. The water is very hard and there is no water pressure. The dishwasher did not work well, the dishes were not cleaned after a full wash and had to be hand washed. The upstairs window fell during our stay and we were not able to get it closed. So the upstairs was rather warm. The house has SO MANY STAIRS it’s hard to enjoy. We had elderly parents and small children with us that it just did accommodate us comfortably. Owner needs to consider several things to make the home more affordable. The only perk I found was that it is pet friendly.

Owners were very communicative and understanding that this was going to be our wedding trip and allowed us to have the photographer and makeup artists come to the house before the wedding. We knew we were welcome and it was going to be a great trip when we pulled in and there was a big dog bone treat waiting for our pup! We will definitely be back.

Very pleased with our stay. Place was clean and well kept. Property manager was very responsive. Balcony with ample seating and artificial decking was one of my favorites that we’ve ever stayed at. Only down is that it’s a lot of stairs to climb at the end of the day for grandparents but you can see this very clearly in the listing so they’re upfront about it. Would definitely love to stay here again.

Great Stay!
We had a great stay in this rental while we were here in June. The cabin was clean and offered all it stated to offer. The hosts were very promt and easy to communicate with before and during our stay. We highly recommend this beach rental and hope to return again soon.

Also, kitchen cabinet door came off hinges; we were able to put it back together. The hoses on the stairs to the beach were not operating and the hinges on deck doors had to be retightened regularly. These r all minor concerns but seemingly need to be addressed before they can’t be. The lack of water pressure upstairs is the biggest issue

Comfortable Home with Incredible Ocean View!
This is a very comfortable home with spectacular ocean views! We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the multiple decks and easy access to the beach. Ed and Autumn were excellent hosts and checked in with us to ensure that we were satisfied. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking to enjoy a front row ocean seat with picture perfect sunrises and sunsets!

Spring beach trip
This property was exactly aa described. The master bedroom with deck facing the ocean was great! Living room, kitchen and dining area very spacious. Extra room on main level was great for laat minute guest to sleep on pullout sofa. The table and chairs were so confortable on the deck, that we didn't want to leave. Easy access to beach, storage bins and area for bech chairs was helpful.,
