Perched in the geographical center of Manitou Springs, easily accessible from Highway 24 and just 10 minutes from downtown Colorado Springs. Onaledge has been retrofitted for the modern traveler, but maintains its old-world charm. Onaledge is one of three lodges located on the bucolic campus of the Smokebrush Foundation, a non-profit organization that produces and presents innovative artistic experiences that foster creativity and collaboration in the Southern Colorado community. The Foundation also operates Smokebrush Farm, which maintains Onaledge's grounds and grows food and rears animals on the grounds nearby. The Onaledge Historic Lodge building itself is a nationally recognized Arts and Craft era architectural masterpiece. Onaledge's Tudor-style exterior was made from Manitou Greenstone and stucco. The first floor interior features large, wood-floored rooms, stone hearths, decorative metal features, cathedral ceilings and wooden trusses that line the ceiling in visually satisfying arches. Stone patios and decking surround the lodge on three sides, along with fantastic views of the Rocky Mountains and surrounding tree-, rock- and ledge-scapes, make the Lodge an ideal space for family and other group gatherings and for intimate events. Read below for more information on special events at Onaledge. The North exterior of Onaledge lodge features a large entertaining deck with tables, chairs and an eight-person hot tub, all overlooking several magnificent greenstone terraces built during the 1930s (reportedly at a cost of over $1M) on the grounds' North ridge. These terraces and ringed by steps we playfully refer to as "the Manitou Inn Climb", which is Onaledge's mini-version of the famous Manitou Incline. Unlike the Manitou Incline, though, the Inn Climb is a private venue, and no reservations are needed to hike it. Do the Manitou InnClimb loop 17 times, and you will have hiked the Manitou Incline equivalent, right in your own backyard! The terraces are also a great place to host a wedding, and for an additional fee, we offer use of the terraces to guests seeking to host a wedding there. Back deck and Hot Tub. Onaledge's back deck is accessible via the kitchen, the buffet room, and the dining room. The deck normally seats 10 to 16 guests and contains a hot tub that seats 10. Special Events. We loved our stay during our corporate leadership retreat. The house was equipped to handle a large group and they had thought of everything we might need! The grounds were beautiful with deer grazing throughout. We loved hiking up the terraced gardens to visit the farm animals each morning. Thank you all for an amazing stay!

The communication with Chris and Kat was amazing! We discussed what we needed and they were very clear on what was included in the house. Everything we needed for our group was available. The charming house is over 100 years old, and as such has some quirks, but it’s tastefully done and a wonderful place to gather with family. The bedroom with the twin beds and puppet show stage was a hit with the kids! We enjoyed the view from the tables & chairs on the terrace patio in the backyard with a (plastic) glass of wine and charcuterie - with a view of Pike’s Peak! All accommodations were as expected, with the exception of a different refrigerator that what is pictured. Overall we definitely recommend Onaledge and hope to come back!

This was the perfect place for 14 friends (7 couples) to get away to celebrate & spend time together. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out, as everyone had their own room, but lots of communal space as well. The house was clean, organized and met all of our needs. The property was scenic, and the hot tub was fabulous! We would highly recommend Onaledge to anyone with a big crowd!

We went for my dads 75th bday, so there were 12 of us. It was great for us. The teens loved the big hot tub. It was definitely different, and though we had no ghost encounters... we learned it’s known to be haunted. Made for a lot of fun.
