Plenty of room for family of 10. Loved the pool area and watching boats in the canal. We rented a boat for the day and headed to Sanibel and it was great to pull up to our own dock. The kids had a great time fishing in the canal. The kitchen was very stocked - better than other rentals we have stayed at. Sue was amazing with communicating and so responsive with any questions.

Used Vrbo to stay at large house with family for aunt’s funeral. Was suppose to check in when owner canceled, sent email that they canceled our reservation and told us to call Vrbo. After 3 hrs on phone they put us in an old hotel 30 minutes from where we booked although there were multiple houses available in the same area we booked. Vrbo promised they would have their rebooking team find us a house comparable to the one we booked, unfortunately this never happened even though we called several times being on the phone with Vrbo for hours each call with they telling us rebooking team was still working on getting us a place. This was funny because there were multiple places still available on their website, what were they still looking for after 2 days? No one ever called us or did anything despite Vrbo’s booking guarantee. When Vrbo knew we were at the funeral, they sent us an email telling us to book something on are own and to submit for reimbursement. Vrbo promises and guarantees mean nothing.

My husband and I rented this house with our 5 kids and my parents. It exceeded our expectations and was the nicest vacation we have ever taken!!! We ended up staying at the house way more than anticipated because of the pool and did night swimming a lot with the kids!!! It was super clean and the host was super responsive to any questions that we had while staying! We for sure want to come back for a visit soon and were super sad to go back to Minnesota 😭😭

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here for Labor day. We were familiar with the house so we knew what to expect. We had the best time cooking inside and on the bbq. We were able to have the kids in the pool while watching the outside TV. This was great on the days and night's we were watching football inside. Its always great being able to make the adults happy as well as the kids. With this home, its easy! The kids were able to enjoy the pool as well as board games when it rained. The house has plenty of fun stuff to do.
Sue was available for the couple texts I sent and she would reply within minutes. The pool temperature was perfect and Sue helped with that. The kitchen is fully stocked and having the upstairs and outside mini fridge were an added bonus for the extra drinks we had. There is a publix literally up the street so it made any quick trips extremely easy. We will definitely be staying again next year. I said it before and I'll say it again, Sue is an amazing host and her home is absolutely perfect. My only issue was that she was out of town so we didn't get to hang out with her for a few minutes. Last year she left her glasses and stopped by. It was so lovely meeting her and her husband as well as they meeting our family.
Thanks again for a memorable Labor Day weekend with my familiy.

Peaceful and relaxing
The home was very clean when we arrived. Check-in was simple and all instructions were clear. We couldn't have picked a better home to suit our groups needs for the week. As in any home, there were some minor issues that were quickly rectified with a text to the owner. When it comes to property owners, Sue is top notch. She was very responsive to anything we may have required or requested. We highly recommend this property and we will return on our next trip to the Gulf.

I can’t say enough great things about this home. It is one of those rare places that is better in person than the pictures. We put the 4 kids upstairs and they ranged in age from 15 to 21. It was nice that they had their own bathroom. We did grab a extra inflatable mattress at the store. The other rooms were taken by the parents and grandparents. There is an extra room with a twin size sleeper that we used as a 5th bedroom for a solo grandparent. We rented a boat from “Boats and Fun” and were constantly out in the boat, fishing from the dock, or cooling off in the pool. The screened in patio and pool area was easily 10 degrees cooler than outside that area so a great place to hang out in the afternoon and evening and laugh with the family.
The kitchen was well stocked with Calphalon pots and pans, numerous casserole dishes and baking trays (4!). They appear to leave extra spices and such for the next guests so there was a starting supply of commonly used items which we always appreciate.
Sue was easy to reach when I had a couple of questions about where to look for items or how to turn on the primary bathroom shower.
The visit was lovely and we even saw a manatee swim 2 feet from the sea wall we were enjoying a cocktail from on our last evening. It was a special experience for us all.

We stayed with our extended family at this beautiful Cape Coral home in June 2022. The house was great with plenty of room for everyone, a beautiful kitchen, fantastic master suite, great pool, and great view!
We enjoyed trips to the beaches of Sanibel and Fort Meyers, we used the pool everyday, we went on a boat trip with Adventure in Paradise and rented kayaks from Cape Coral Kayaks (they delivered and picked up at the house).
The house was clean and very well stocked including towels, beach towels, beach chairs & umbrella. There was a high chair & porta crib. The refrigerator and the upstairs sleep sofa had been updated since the photos in the listing.
The owner was very responsive and great to work with. We recommend this home for your Cape Coral vacation!

Our family and friend group of 10 adults and teenagers thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! The two teenage boys enjoy fishing off the dock and the two teenage girls enjoyed laying in the sun, in between our jaunts to Sanibel and Captiva- only 25-30 min (go early). Recommendations for great food: Ford’s Garage in Cape Coral, Nervous Nellies in Fort Myers Beach, The Lazy Flamingo on Sanibel, The Bubble Room on Sanibel, The Blue Giraffe on Sanibel, and The Mucky Duck on Captiva, Bimini Bait Shack on Sanibel, Yukatan Waterfront Bar & Grill in Matlacha and of course several stops for ice cream at Pinocchio’s on Sanibel. On the way down from Tampa, we stopped at The Lucky Pelican in Sarasota - the largest shrimp I’ve ever seen! We learned they were Royal Red Shrimp which are only caught 1500 feet down in the ocean.
A few of us enjoyed in-shore fishing in Matlacha Pass and we caught grouper We spent a day at Casa Ybel and drank pina coladas at their poolside bar, Coconuts. The bar is public, and no one minded that we used the beach and the teens played sand volleyball and made a few new friends! We did a little shopping at Periwinkle Place and She Sells Sea Shells on Sanibel and also spent a day on Fort Myers Beach where a few of us went parasailing and on the jet ski dolphin tour (which is a nice jet ski trip with less emphasis on the dolphins).
The house common areas were very spacious! Note that the Jack and Jill bathroom for the two lower queen bedrooms is very small, but suitable as long as you aren’t on the larger side. We really enjoyed the lanai with the large pool, grill, tv, chaise loungers and large dining table. There were plenty of towels, a cooler, chairs and umbrella to take to the beach. We bought two cheap fishing rods and left them for future guests! The hostess was very responsive when we asked for suggestions and also to turn the pool heat up a little. There is plenty of room for three vehicles in the driveway. I loved the little courtyard you come through before you enter the front. Tips- 1)If you rent a car- get the toll pass thing! There was a toll to go over and back from Sanibel and a separate toll to go to Captiva. It was well worth it, but it will save you a little money to get the unit. 2) no-see-ums are in Florida. They were not a problem at the house, but if you go near the water or go to an island, wear some good bug spray! We had a wonderful stay in this lovely home and highly recommend it!

Very spacious and comfortable home.
The house was very clean and had everything we needed and then some. Sue was very easy to deal with and was very timely in responding to questions. The only issue we had was that the pool wasn’t in the sun all day but I attribute that to the time of year we came. Also, the refrigerator could stand to be replaced. It certainly has seen better days!! All in all, we loved this home and would return in a heartbeat!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!!

Best Labor day yet
I cannot express how amazing our stay was. From the beginning, Sue was quick with her responses and so helpful. The house fit our family perfectly. We loved the spacious rooms and fully stocked kitchen. We cooked all our meals the 4 days we were there. We also loved the big outdoor table overlooking the boats. Our kids basically lived in the pool. We were able to heat it up so everyone was comfortable. While some of my family enjoyed football inside, we watched movies outside w the kids. It was so comfortable. When we had a question, Sue helped immediately. I actually got to meet her because she left her glasses. It was as if I'd known her for such a long time. Not all VROB owners are as kind as she is. I would recommend this amazing home 100 out of 100 times. We had the best labor day weekend and are already planning next years trip. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Best Vacation Ever!
We have used VRBO and other sites too many times to count and this by far has been our best experience, partly thanks to the amazing hosts who go above and beyond to make your stay a memorable one. The house was beautiful accomodating 3 families and 13 people including kids. House has plenty of pool/beach towels, pool toys, etc. We are looking forward to spending another week next year as soon as the booking becomes available. Thank you Susan and Steve for sharing your beautiful home with us.
