A little further on and you will reach the stand up paddle boarding rental hire. Heading in the other direction, a nice 400m stroll will bring you down to the ocean side beach. Patrolled by professional life guards and safe swimming areas located every few hundred metres or so. A quick change of direction from the beach (about 100m) and you find yourself in the heart of Surfers Paradise. Surrounded by tourist attractions, shops, restaurants, bars and much, much more. And when the sun goes down, the night life begins. If you're up for more of a walk you can venture onto Chevron Island. 5-7minutes through the middle of the island and you come across more shops, bars and restaurants. And if you're a fan of fresh fish and chips, Chevron Seafood is the place to go. If the HOTA (Home Of The Arts) is your flavour, it's another 20minute walk over bridge via Chevron Island. If shopping is what you really want there are plenty of options. Pacific Fair, one of the biggest shopping centres in the southern hemisphere is only a few tram stops south. A slightly smaller option is Australia Fair which is a few tram stops north. Although if you're really keen for a journey, you may catch a tram and a bus and travel out to Harbour Town. Then of course you have all the fun parks. It's recommended you do your research first though. Some of the parks have partnerships and you may purchase combinations of tickets with discounts. The closest in distance being Sea World, just a short 15 minute bus trip. Sea World partners with Wet and Wild, Movie World and Outback Australia. Where Dreamworld and White Water World unite. These other parks are a bit further away and may require buses, trams and or train rides. You also have the option of hiring a car, or one of the ride share companies. There is so much more on the Gold Coast for you to do and we will be more than happy to help you find whatever it is you're looking for. Being in the heart of Surfers Paradise suggests you probably don't need a car. Public transport is brilliant, you simply may want to get a Go-Card. Buses are 50m away. Trams are 150m. Trains are a 20min bus trip (number 740) or 30 min tram ride. Airports: Gold Coast (Coolangatta) airport is about 35min+ drive depending on your mode of transport. Cheapest option is bus and tram which is about $AUD6 each way. You can then get a SkyBUS which is about $AUD 12-15 each way. You may choose ride share apps like Uber or Ola, which is about $AUD50. Then a taxi will cost about $AUD75+. Brisbane is a bit further away and about an hour drive. A train and a bus will cost around $AUD35 and often the airport shuttles may be cheaper and quicker. Uber and Taxi's will be $AUD100+ There is an intercom system however it is disabled throughout the entire building. Guests will be required to carry keys at all times they leave the building. It would be advised that you have your phone with you if your other guests are holding the key. No pets and no children allowed.
