It was a nice and pleasant stay.

The breakfast should be part of the tariff package, as is the general norm these days, and not payable extra. The food was average, the service was good, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The location is exceptional,with wonderful views. The approach road to the resort could be better.

The upkeep of the rooms, toilet ventilation, and external wiring.

My blissful 8 days at Tehri Retreat

In the words of my wife Urmi Chakravorty who was a guest here: Two weeks back I stayed at Tehri Retreat, Sursingdhar, for 8 days at a stretch. The biggest attraction of this property is its splendid location. They have a set of very pretty, self-sufficient cottages on Level-1 and also, regular double occupancy rooms upstairs. I divided my stay between the lower and upper decks, to get to enjoy both the views. At both levels, the view of the surrounding Garhwal Himalayas, the valley, the Tehri lake, and all the nearby greenery can be enjoyed uninterrupted, in full glory. The rooms are very comfortable, with abundant supply of hot water, spotless washrooms, fresh linen, tea-coffee arrangements and other such amenities. The staff members are well trained and extremely courteous. Mr Pramod used to deliver the food to my room at the exact designated hour. Mr Amit was my go-to person at the property for all requirements. He is a very calm, polite, resourceful person, always smiling, who walks that extra mile to ensure that the guests have a comfortable stay at the resort. Mr Anil and Mr Aman monitored things remotely and regularly enquired if I was having a pleasant stay. I was there on a solo trip and preferred having simple, non-spicy food which was customised as per my taste. However, the general menu needs to have greater clarity and more number of items. They arranged for cabs and trusted drivers whenever I required to go on sight-seeing trips. On the whole, I was very satisfied and happy with the hospitality I received at Tehri Retreats and would definitely recommend it to others, too.

Nothing that I didn't like. Only two things to consider... 1. A longish mirror inside the room 2. A more elaborate menu card with more options

Excellent location far away from madness of Delhi and other urban town.

Distance and marking on road indication for the resort should me at appropriate place at chamba and other places near the retreat.

Location. Would suggest visiting post monsoon to truly enjoy the splendor of the hills

Without a car it may prove difficult to navigate the area unless one enjoys hiking

They said breakfast is not included.

Clear direction must be given to enter from Chamba as it is only 8 km from there. In absence of this knowledge, we followed a much longer route through lake.

The location is really good. Isolated and just 10 mins. away from New Tehri.

The description of different room options is not clear. The bedsheets and pillow covers were not so clean as well.

Family vacation in Uttarakhand

The property was very good. The view was excellent. Sorroundings and the rooms were very clean. The room was smaller than expected. The staff put a floor mattress for the third adult which was not sufficient owing to the cold weather. The staff however complied to our request for adding a couple of more mattresses to make the bed level. The road to the location was in a very bad shape. It took us @ 20 minutes to locate the hotel even when we followed the map provided

I would stay here again but book a bigger room instead
